‘Even The Right Direction Taken At The Wrong Timing Is A Bad Decision’ Calvary greetings to you, I am delighted and excited with what God is doing and will do in this year. It has been one of the most interesting years of my life. At the beginning of this year, I gave the theme to be ‘Our Season, Our Time To Shine Again’ and indeed God has been faithful to His word and promises. Now, I notice that some people are still complaining about how God is not really coming through for them as they expected, some talk about even a nation like Canada going through recession in the very first and second quarters of this year, but the truth is that God did not say that it is the time of the world to shine but He specifically directed His prophesy to His people who are ready to walk the work and not waste time talking the talk. So my message to you in this editorial is to get ready and walk the walk to your destination of victory. You must open your eyes to the direction of God and close your eyes to the negative reports of men and the news media. 2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.”

While this scripture is often rightly used to encourage the preacher to preach the gospel of Christ in season and out of season, I beg to use it in encouraging you that you must be willing and ready to declare the message of your season to shine to all and sundry. The word of God tells me in the book of Numbers that “As I hear you say in my ears, so I shall do for you”, so it is very important that we keep confessing and as well walking the path to our victory. You cannot afford to sit around nor associate with destiny-killers, those who are only interested in what you can offer them but never interested in helping you move your own destiny forward. I do believe that until you break out of such group your spirit will not sense your readiness to mount up to the next level. Delay is Sin, most people miss out on God’s blessings because they are not prepared, the bible warns us to always be ready. Always remember that He is a God of timing and direction, they both go together. If God has declared this time to be our season to shine again, then He is simply saying that we are in a season when we will get directions on how to shine again in Jesus name.

Once we know God’s will and timing, we should instantly obey by taking action without delay because acting on God’s will is like riding a bicycle, if you don’t go on, you go off !!! Progress Report In line with the editorial, we at miles magazine are ready and willing to continue building this legacy into becoming the Times magazine of the Christendom. We are working on the launch of an expanded distribution into more countries and networks. A Growing Problem

Diabetes is a growing problem in the world. In 2013, there were approximately 380 million people with this disease worldwide, and 46% of those affected are between the ages of 40-59 years old. In the United States approximately 30 million people have diabetes while in Canada approximately 2.5 million people have diabetes as well. What Then Is Diabetes? It is a metabolism disorder. It’s caused by the way in which the body digests food for energy. When you eat food, your digestive track breaks down the sugars and starches and creates glucose. Glucose is a form of sugar that is easily absorbed in the bloodstream, and is used as energy for your body’s cells with the help of a hormone called insulin, which is produced in your pancreas. Diabetes is caused when your pancreas cannot make enough insulin or when your body doesn’t use insulin effectively. When your body doesn’t produce enough insulin, or your body doesn’t react correctly to the insulin produced, glucose does not get absorbed in the cells, and can build up in the bloodstream. This causes high blood

glucose levels, or low blood glucose levels. When you have high blood glucose levels, your body begins to break down – nerves and blood vessels become damaged. This eventually causes all sorts of complications such as heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, blindness, and amputations. Common Types of Diabetes There are so many types of diabetes but for this article we shall concentrate on only two most common types: Type 1 Diabetes – This type of diabetes is also known as juvenile diabetes, it is an autoimmune disease that permanently destroys beta cells in the pancreas, causing the body to no longer produce insulin. Anyone with this type of diabetes becomes insulin dependent to manage their diabetes. Type I diabetes is most common in children, but can be diagnosed at any age. This type can be deadly if the condition is not caught and treated. Common Symptoms Of Type 1 diabetes: *Feeling Tired. *Above Average thirst. *Increase Need To Urinate. *Skin Infections. *Weight Loss.

Type 2 Diabetes – This is a metabolic disorder that results in high blood sugar (glucose) levels (hyperglycemia). These high blood glucose levels are caused by the body not being able to use insulin it has produced effectively (also known as insulin resistance), or the body is unable to produce insulin. Previously type 2 diabetes was also called adult-onset diabetes, because it occurred mostly in people over 40 years of age. However, type 2 diabetes is now becoming more common in young adults and teens. It counts for 90% of all diabetic causes worldwide. Symptoms of type 2 are similar to that of type 1 diabetes, but in type 2 they develop slowly over a period of a week or even months, making it hard for people to recognize them as symptoms of a condition. Common Symptoms: *Excessive Thirst. *Frequent Urination. *Extreme Tiredness. *Increased Hunger. *And Sudden Loss Of Muscle Mass. Love him; hate him, the truth remains that in a world where most are ashamed of declaring their faith publicly, Dog stands out, and no wonder through all the trials, failures, ups and downs of life, he refused to give up.

Miles magazine in each issue strive to go beyond the norm and identify those remarkable stories and profiles that show the power of redemption, grace and universality contained in the kingdom and heart of our God Almighty through Jesus Christ his only begotten Son. This is why we are featuring the story of ‘Dog, The Bounty Hunter’ in this issue, a man who despite all, have not given up on the name Christian, in fact he waited so many years for a channel that would allow him to pray in the name of Christ before going on television.

For the millions who have watched his program on television. You must have witnessed his unique pattern where he begins every manhunt with a word of prayer with the whole team (mostly his family members) and often climaxes with a long ride with the fugitive on their way to jail, but most importantly his ministry then takes root because he counsels them and tries to bring redemption to them by sharing a message of hope, love and restoration to them. I believe that Dog is playing a part in saving the lost and dejected souls of this world.

Dog The Bounty Hunter- To the world he is popularly known as Dog, the bounty hunter. Duane Lee Chapman was born on the 2nd of February 1953 in the United States of America to Wesley and Barbara Chapman. He is the oldest of four children, with two younger sisters and one brother; however, according to Chapman, everyone is his 'brother'. He is German on his mother's side and English on his father's side. His mother was a minister for the Assembly of God church and passed her Christian faith onto her son.

From Prison To Prominence ‘The Duane Lee Chapman Story’ Nicknames - Dog Chapman, Duane Lee Chapman, Duane Chapman, Duane Lee "Dog" Chapman, Sr., Dog, The Dog, Big Daddy, Duane Chapman

The Tragedy - Dog was convicted of first degree murder in 1976 and sentenced to five years in prison. Dog was waiting in a car while a friend shot and killed a drug dealer. Although Duane was not the killer nor was it ever proven that they had premeditated plans to kill, but by virtue of being the driver, He ended up serving 18 months at Texas State Penitentiary in Huntsville, Texas, during Incarceration, he did field work and acted as the warden's barber. It was while serving his sentence that he was inspired by a prison guard to become a bounty hunter after he had tackled an inmate about to be shot for attempting to escape.

His Rough Road To Fame & Fortune On coming out of prison, no one would offer job to an ex-convict so he ended up becoming a hoover sales man. It was not until June 18, 2003, that Chapman made international news by capturing Andrew Luster, who had fled the United States in the middle of his trial on charges of drugging and raping a number of women. He had been convicted in absentia on 86 counts including multiple rape charges connected to assaults in 1996, 1997 and 2000. Chapman was assisted by his "hunt team", consisting of his son Leland and Tim Chapman. The three bounty hunters captured Luster in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where he had been living under an assumed name. On their way to California, while still in Mexico, they were pulled over by Mexican police, and all four of them were jailed. Once the authorities confirmed Luster's identity, he

was sent to California to face his 125-year sentence. Chapman and his team, still in the Mexican jail, were initially denied bail, but after Beth (his wife) alerted the media and aroused public opinion in the United States, they were granted bail. Once out of jail on bail, they followed their attorney's advice and fled the jurisdiction, thereby becoming international bail-jumpers. On September 14, 2006, days before the expiration of the statute of limitations, Chapman, along with his son Leland Chapman and associate Tim Chapman

were arrested by United States Marshals and jailed in Honolulu on behalf of the Mexican government. Mexican authorities had charged all three with "deprivation of liberty," involving the 2003 arrest of Andrew Luster, because bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico. Since they did not obtain permission to leave the country while out on bail in 2003, the Mexican Government declared Duane, Leland and Tim Chapman fugitives from justice and tried to get them extradited to Mexico for sentencing. On October 11, 2006, reports surfaced of

an open letter dated September 26, 2006, sent on Chapman's behalf by 29 Republican Congressmen to U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. The letter stated the authors' opposition to Chapman's extradition and requested that Rice deny Mexico's request for same. Subsequently on October 20, 2006, lawyers for Chapman said that the Mexican federal court had granted them an order that halted the criminal case against the bounty hunter until further evidence and witness testimony were gathered. A court hearing was held on December 23, 2006. On February 16, 2007, a Mexican Federal court ruled that there was no reason not to try him on the charge of deprivation of liberty in Mexico. In response, on February 23, Hawaii State Representatives Gene Ward, Karen Awana, Rida Cabanilla, Lynn Finnegan, Barbara Marumoto, Colleen Meyer, Kymberly Pine, Joe Bertram, Ken Ito, Marylin Lee, and John Mizuno introduced 'House Concurrent Resolution 50', "Requesting the President of Mexico and the Second District Court of Guadalajara to drop extradition charges against TV Bounty Hunter, Duane 'Dog' Chapman". The resolution was passed by the International Affairs committee on March 7. During this time, Chapman, along with his new attorney, William C. Bollard, appeared on numerous media shows. Some of these include: Larry King Live, Greta Van Susteren, Mark and Mercedez Morning Show on Mix 94.1 KMXB in Las Vegas, The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet on WFLD, Fox 6 News San Diego, The Glenn Beck Program, and THE 9 on Yahoo!. Honolulu news outlet KHNL reported on August 1, 2007 that the arrest warrant issued for Chapman and his associates might be invalidated, as a Mexican court had found that the statute of limitations regarding the arrest had expired. On September 29, 2006, Chapman received

permission to have the electronic monitoring device removed temporarily so that he could travel to the East Coast for previously planned appearances. On August 2, 2007, the First Criminal Court in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, dismissed all criminal charges pending against Duane, Leland and Tim Chapman on the grounds that the statute of limitations had expired. The order effectively cancelled all pending charges. The prosecution appealed the ruling; this is standard practice in Mexico, according to A&E. On November 5, 2007, U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry Kurren dismissed the extradition attempt, saying that even though the cases were appealed, the trio are no longer charged with any crimes.

Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Net Worth: Dog the Bounty Hunter is an American bounty hunter, television personality, and former bail bondsman who has a net worth of $6 million. Dog the Bounty Hunter earned his net worth from the A&E TV reality TV show which was cancelled in 2012. Chapman had a new show debut on CMT in 2012 titled Dog and Beth: On the Hunt. He has authored two books, including his autobiography which debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list.

Dog The Christian – I must confess that Dog is one not void of controversy in all ramifications of the word. He is a man that has raised so many controversies around the world especially the Christian communities. His appearance, some words on television and amongst other things has led so many people to question his level of Christianity, but I believe that for the fact that he is one of the very few celebrities who has the guts to be on television and openly confess their Christian faith makes him one to mention. This is what he had to say when asked about his television program and how he tries to bring the lost back to Christ: “When Jesus died on the cross he was crucified with two thieves, and one, of course said, if you’re God get down off of here, and the other one said, please help me out, brother. Jesus said nothing to the one, I don’t think, but he said to the other, “Tonight you’ll be sitting down with me and my Dad in heaven.” So, each time I go and capture a thief or a criminal I

He has been barred from travelling to the U.K even thirty years after serving his sentence. The Three Classes Of Men On Earth Life they say is a stage and only the good actors succeed, to some this saying is not true while to others it is true, I know you are waiting for me to declare which of the schools of thought that I belong to, well, that I would let you decide on your own at the end of this article. I want to talk about the three classes of men (people) that I have come to recognize exist on this act, it is not racially based, intellectually based nor is it gender based, no, it is mentality based. Indeed our mentality is the real thing that separates one from the other, I meet people every day because of my line of work and immediately I can determine which class they belong to by listening to them talk and watching them act, even in as little things as the way they order their meal gives me a clear idea of which group they belong to. Some people are ready to make history; others are very interested in telling the stories of history while some people cannot comprehend how and why history is made in the first place. So with this in mind let us now look at the three classes of men on earth…

1. Those Who Make Things Happen – the first class of men on earth are those who go out of their way to shun fear and regrets while making things happen. These men

are present-focused and never past-possessed. They do not want to know how many others tried and failed, they are not interested in romancing failure and obstacles but rather their whole strength both in spirit and in the physical is focused on achieving something new. They are those that I call climbers; they are focused on reaching the next level in their life while learning from the mistakes of the past and throwing away the details. They are villains; they do not fear or rather I would say that they have learnt to conquer their fears. You see everyone has some fear, it attacks all in the same way but some of us have learnt to overcome those panic attacks by focusing on the way forward. A good example is in the lives of people like David before Goliath, you cannot tell me that the young man had no atom of fear in him but he found a way to suppress that fear with the word of God. Esther is another one who knew quite well that anyone that goes into the king’s chambers without permission was liable to execution but she braved herself in Christ and took the risk. Then again we have Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego who refused to bow to the king and took their chance in the fire. These were all people who made history by braving the consequences, it is always better to die while trying to fulfill your destiny than to die doing

nothing about your life. 2. Those Who Watch Things Happen – these are the ones who have the opportunity and are present at where things are meant to happen but chose to do nothing while others make it happen. They are in the class of the brothers of David who though they were trained soldiers chose to stand aside and watch their little brother be the hero that delivered Israel from the bondage and humiliation of Goliath the anti-Christ. You may be one of them today, but you also have opportunity to change your class by deciding to make things happen around you. These people I call the sitters, they just sit at the arena of breakthrough but they never consider nor do they ever attempt to participate themselves. They believe the risk is too much. I can tell you that what will happen will happen, it is only your reaction to life that changes the effects of life on you. Do you know that life is simply responsible for 10% of what happens to you while you are responsible for 90%? What I am simply saying is that, when you chose to make things happen, you place yourself in a better position to take hold of your destiny irrespective of what challenges you have to face, but on the contrary, if you decide to do nothing then you have absolutely no say in how your life turns out.

3. Those Who Wonder What’s Happening – these are the ones that have no clue what just hit them in life, ever read the story of Samson who after revealing the secret of his strength to the strange woman Delilah woke up thinking or assuming that God was still with him? Only to discover that he lost the power and presence of God by his own foolishness. Many on earth are like that, they give up their right to prosper and succeed then come back wandering what in the world just happened to them. you cannot be like this in your life, God sent me to tell you that this is your season, your time to shine again, but you must arise and stop wandering, start acting on your dreams and focus on the way forward. When you wander in thoughts, you eventually wander

away from your destiny. There is something that you have started which God is willing to help you accomplish but you must grow to be confident of that thing or else it will become a dream and only a dream God has not given us the spirit of fear but a sound mind and with that we are able to find help in times of need, do not bury yourself in the fear of tomorrow because tomorrow will definitely come but our God who is the Lord of all things including tomorrow is in control. Which class of man are you, do you know? I pray you are in the class that makes things happen because only then do you stand a

chance of victory in life. The worst of all deaths is not to die unfulfilled but to die knowing that you never even tried to make it happen, the worst regrets of all in life is the regret of not trying at all. I hear the voice of God calling for those who are ready to overcome the spirit of fear while embracing the unknown path they believe will lead to the fulfillment of their destiny, remember some trust in chariots, others in horses but destiny-shapers simply put their trust in God. I believe again and again that this year is our season, our time to shine again, act on it, and make it happen and you will forever be grateful to God Almighty. God bless.

Believers Authority To Prosper A guide for the Christian in the marketplace I am very passionate about what the bible has to say about the Christian and business, money, wealth, properties and all the likes because it is a guide on how much we expect to get out of this physical world. Now I would first want to remind us that the bible tells us clearly not to place our trust in earthly wealth but to place it in God who is the ultimate giver of all things good and beautiful. Haven said that, I would love to tell you categorically that a Christian has the full right and authority from God to make wealth and as well as enjoy wealth on the face of this earth. I believe that you are doing God a dis-service when you do not apply these principles and at the end become rich so that you can be a blessing to others in this world. In this issue of the miles, I would take you through the first step in succeeding in the marketplace, it is great to dream big, plan big, talk big, but at the end of it all you

need proper knowledge and counselling before making any financial decision in life Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed

for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me…” I guess you have heard this over and over, well, it applies in the area of succeeding with your money or in any kind of business you wish to embark on. It is the first step in your quest to be successful in life. Proper Counsel is required for any Christian or body for that matter to succeed in the marketplace, you must seek spiritual, physical as well as professional counsel before you embark on your adventure, anyone who rejects or neglects these three areas of information and wisdom is bound to crash sooner than later.

“Without counsel, plans go awry. But in the multitude of counselors they are established.”

I can tell you from my own life that the price for jumping ahead of yourself without first seeking proper and detailed counsel has cost me so many pains, and tears in life. It is often very tempting for one to go into a venture because it looks like a very good idea, but do you know that it is not all good ideas that are necessarily God ideas? Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers you give yourself a very great chance of succeeding in life especially when it comes to business and investments. Do you know that when you take time to pray and consult a man of God who is gifted in the area of finance, you make contact with the Holy Spirit who the bible already talked about as the great counsellor that can teach you all things and lead you into all truths? Or you think the spirit of God does not know about businesses and investments? God is the author of all things and can equally lead you to the right

business. By praying and consulting with the man/woman of God who has grace in that direction, you will also be led to a financial or investment expert who can lead you onto the next step. Now, you are not to consult anybody just because they are a pastor or financial adviser, No, you are to be led by God to the right persons, there are men of God who are knowledgeable in this field, that is the one you are to meet even if it means paying a fee to consult with them in prayers, trust me, it is still cheaper than gambling with your life. Then I am very sure that after seeing that man/woman of God because they are graced in that field, you will then connect with a financial expert who can direct you physically or advise you on the next step to take. Do Not Play The Fool With Your Life – money is very important in the sustenance and joy of any family; therefore you must plan and take it very serious how you handle your life in the marketplace. The bible describes that person that acts without

proper counsel as a fool, and we know that a fool can never be rich. Families breakup when there is too much lack in their system, lack brings frustration, disappointment, anger, fights and abuse, and all these can only land a family in complete disintegration. There is often no amount of love that can withstand the pressure of lack and hunger in any family and especially the Christian home.

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But he who heeds counsel is wise”

So in conclusion, the first step to financial success is to seek proper counsel before embarking on any form of investment. The Season Of Imitators Choose To Accept Yourself This is where we look at things happening in the Christendom that does not necessarily reflect the will and purpose of God for our lives. I want to look specifically at the new trend of imitation that is going on all over. Everybody wants to be like the other person, every church wants to buy property like the other church, everybody wants to preach, minister and sing like the other person and the result is anarchy in the atmosphere.

‘People Are Born Originals But Most Die Copies’ I must confess that when you are you in the world, you tend to pay a very big price because you will attract a lot of jealousy and back-biting but I always say that it is worth it at the end of the road, you can look back and be proud of what you have achieved through it all. Today it is not the case, you find people setting visions and dreams based on who they know and not based on what they know. I have been amused by the level of imitation that I see playing out in the churches today, we are in a season when people just plan on another man’s personality and potentials, yes, I have been around groups who somehow feel they are smart enough to ride on your potential and achieve their own selfish dreams and when they see that your generosity does not imply stupidity they dissipate like vapor. The first thing that God talks about an anointed servant is originality, Our LORD describes his servant as one who had been known, ordained, sanctified and empow-

ered before the foundations of the earth, that makes me to believe that a true man or woman of God must come with originality, you must work as you are called, you must have a mandate and not hop on the back of another’s. Now, do not get me wrong, not all pastors must go and start a church, No, some are called as helpers to others but even in that help ministry, their uniqueness will definitely shine out. But in a case where you declare a ministry as being from God and you being the shepherd and vision carrier, you must endeavor to achieve excellence through originality and excellence, it hurts me to find a man of God in so high a position trying every trick in the book to steal from your idea or to ride on the back of your vision to achieve theirs. I had one such experience where I met this man of God who started serving under our ministry and after a while he kept announcing about his church on my pulpit. I was surprised as well as all of my elders because we knew he really had nothing so where and when did he build this new church, your guess is as good as mine, he created a church by taking some of the ones that were with me, the vulnerable ones. This man by the way all through his time with me never added one membership to the church. I call them vipers, imitators of another and never original.

The Call In Life is Not To Be A Copy – We Are All Custom-Made By God The Creator Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to

the nations." The scenario goes on and on, ever met the ones that are so in tune with another man of God that they even speak in the same tongues as the one they are imitating? Some will say come let us form an organization only for you to find out that they expect you to bring them your contacts so that they can dig their devilish forks and pipes into them and drain you of everything. There is something called networking and it has its rules and ethics and there is another thing called parasiting, that is what they mostly concentrate on. These days, many ministers and leaders rather than stick to being original they cross-carpet to any area they feel will supply their daily bread in the name of ministry. The call of God in our lives is the provision of God in our lives as well. To

copy others is to cheat yourself out of the fullness of what God has called you to be and to do. It is not every pastor that would be great at singing, not all will be great in deliverance, not all will be great in counselling, not all will have big congregation, remember Jesus Christ while he preached, delivered and counselled thousands could not boast of more than a handful at his death. The key is in the effectiveness of what you are called to do. While Peter stayed in Jerusalem, apostle Paul went to the gentiles, everyone has a unique ministry and until we go back to that, we would never achieve anything that would last. If you are not you, then who are you going to be???

I would end by saying this, you cannot be me and I cannot be you, we must learn to accept, enhance and work with who God has made us to be, there is a unique way in me to do my own things, and there is another way peculiar to you, we cannot even interpret a scripture in the same way and yet both may very well be right interpretations. God has made us this way and nothing can change it.

Profiling Derby Kay’s New Album Let Me In

Derby Kay (born Deborah Osezemen Ikhisemoje on March 9, 1982) is a Nigerian gospel artist, singer, song writer and poet. Derby, as she is fondly called, was born into a musically successful and priestly family. Youngest daughter of Archbishop Edwin Ikhisemoje and Rev. Mrs. Enoh Ikhisemoje in Uromi Edo State, Nigeria; she started singing at a tender age and she also learnt to play the drums. Later, she joined the Archbishop Benson Idahosa Ministry at the internationally acclaimed Church of God Missions Head Quarters in Benin-City, Nigeria. She also completed her secondary education at Word of Faith College, GRA Benin City. She became the first student Music Director and Lead Vocalist of the school’s mass choir. Derby Kay was privileged to be mentored, trained and influenced musically by Minister Osene Ighodalo (nee Odia); leader of her church’s praise team. As a member of the Christ Redeemed Voices (CGM Head Quarters) and the youngest in the adult mass choir at the time, she took lead vocals sometimes with the church’s praise team. Perspective of Faith

In every issue of the Miles, we always have a theme that runs through the whole page of the magazine, and in this one, it happens to be the word of encouragement from the Lord that no matter what is going on with or around you, you must not give up nor stay down. This is particularly very interesting because if the word from heaven is for you not to stay down, it then means that you have been knocked down or will be knocked down by life. Yes, for me whatever that happens to us along the way is nothing but life manifesting itself in our circumstances. Life can happen in so many different ways, it could be mortgages or lack of one, it could be sicknesses, it could be challenges in your marriage, ah, and it could as well be unemployment. I cannot even begin to name them all but all I can say is take your present challenge and place it right in here, it does not matter the form or size, it has a generic name called life, and so you must embrace it as one. You cannot be in this race and be Lilly-livered, you cannot be a coward and you can afford to be cautious but you cannot afford to be so cautious that you do nothing in life because you fear that they would boomerang or that you will fail.

‘Those Who Never Try Never Fail’ I find humans making one big mistake in life, when we seem to hit a hard and difficult road or even permit me to say, when we make the wrong turn and meet with a dead end, instead of seeing it as one and just making a U-turn to correct the mistake, we often give up either by concluding that we failed or simply by listening to

other losers whose job it is to always announce to us that we failed already.

‘Every Time You Get Knocked Down, Get back Up Again’ Proverbs 24:15-16 “Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; Do not plunder his resting place; For a righteous man may fall seven times And Rise again. But The Wicked shall fall by calamity.” Now you can see that even though the righteous are not immune from falling sometimes, they are also equipped with the ability to get right back up. You may be down right now and feel that God has somehow forsaken you but remember He that did it for you before will readily do it again. ‘It is always better to fail In doing something than to excel at doing nothing’. I strongly believe that fear is sent to stop us from trying a new thing in life; think about it, the fear of failure is the key to many people remaining in situations that they would rather have exchanged for a better life out there. I tell you that it is far better to fail at something than to leave all your life in the pain of regret for not trying.

He also became wealthy just from the spoils of war which took them a whole three days to gather. So can I then say that he went from obscurity to affluence? Yes, and yes indeed.

Don’t Stay Down

ASAP Prayer Column

Many times in life we see this expression ‘a.s.a.p.’ and always associate it with immediate, urgent, immediately. It breeds panic in the heart and in the mind. We are moved to panic or quick action when this phrase is used for us or even when we in turn use this phrase for others.

But I began to think deeper into the calling that we all have answered in the form of Christianity. The bible tells us not to fret nor panic over any situation we find ourselves in this life, we are meant to always be in control of our life, nothing should be so daring that it causes us to fear or shake in life. It is very important that a Christian find the right vocabularies and phrases to protect one from the attacks that the world may bring our way. I am very convinced that in the Kingdom of God up above, everything or situation has a divine solution, there is nothing that takes our God by surprise, the host of heaven are well equipped to handle any situation that might arise in the world beneath. We must learn to develop the attitude of praying always, yes, always say a prayer is the divine meaning of the phrase ‘A.S.A.P’, you as a believer must learn to master the attitude of constant prayer, you must learn to say a prayer always; *when you want to eat *when you wake in the morning *when you are going to bed *when you feel weak *when you feel strong *when you are joyful *when you are sorrowful

In truth you must be able to say a prayer all the time in your life, for that is the only time when you can have that full assurance that Jesus Christ is fully in control of your life. You know, if you can always say a prayer until it becomes your daily exercise, you will begin to notice that when situations challenge, or threaten to take away your joy, those constant communications with God will suddenly come alive in you and cause you to react in the light of God. You will not see a hopeless situation even though everyone else sees that, God will open your spirit to his grace and power and that would be your light. Luke 18:1 “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.”

There is a great war being waged in the world today. It is not a conflict between nations, tribes, or government leaders. It is not a rebellion or a coup. It is an invisible battle taking place in the spirit world.

THE NATURAL AND SPIRITUAL REALMS To understand this invisible war, you must first understand the natural and spiritual worlds. Man exists in two worlds: The natural world and the spiritual world. The natural world is that which can be seen, felt, touched, heard, or tasted. It is tangible and visible. The country, nation, city or village in which you live is part of the natural world. You are a resident in a natural kingdom located on one of the visible continents of the world. But there is another world in which you live. That world is a spiritual world. You cannot see it with your physical eyes, but it is just as real as the natural world in which you live. In I Corinthians 15:40, Paul speaks of this division of natural and spiritual. He says

THE INVISIBLE WAR

there is a natural (terrestrial) body and there is a spiritual (celestial) body. All men have a natural body which lives in the natural world, but man is also a spiritual being with an eternal soul and spirit. Man is body, soul, and spirit. Your spiritual being (soul and spirit) is part of a spiritual world just as your natural body is part of the natural world. SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT

â&#x20AC;&#x153;But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discernedâ&#x20AC;?. (I Corinthians 2:14) It is necessary to use spiritual discernment to understand spiritual things. Perhaps one of the best examples of natural and spiritual discernment is recorded in II Kings

chapter 6. It is the story of a natural battle in which troops of the enemy nation of Syria had surrounded a small town called Dothan where the prophet Elisha was staying. When Elisha's servant, Gehazi, saw the great host of the enemy he became fearful. Elisha prayed that God would open Gehazi's spiritual eyes so he could see the angelic hosts surrounding and protecting them. On this occasion, God actually opened the natural eyes of Gehazi and allowed him to visibly see the superior forces of God aligned for battle. The story of this battle at Dothan is similar to present spiritual conditions in the Church. There are some, like Elisha, who see clearly into the realm of the spirit. They know there is a conflict occurring, have identified the enemy, and recognize the greater forces of God that assure victory. There are others like Gehazi who, with a little encouragement, will be able to open their spiritual eyes and no longer be fearful of and defeated by the enemy. But sadly, there are many people who, like those in the city of Dothan, are spiritually sleeping. They

residents of the Kingdom of God. At the present time in the natural world, the Kingdom of God exists individually within every man, woman, boy or girl who has made Jesus King of their lives. It exists communally in the true church and wherever people make this world the kind of world God wants it to be. In the future, there will be an actual visible manifestation of God's Kingdom. THE INVISIBLE WAR The invisible spiritual war is a battle which involves all men and women. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)

They live in a city or village which is part of a nation. That nation is a kingdom of the world. A natural kingdom is a territory or people over which an actual king or political leader is the sovereign ruler. The Bible speaks of these natural kingdoms as "kingdoms of the world." The kingdoms of the world have come under the power and influence of Satan: “Again, the Devil taketh Him (Jesus) up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto Him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me”. (Matthew 4:8-9) John 5:19 sadly reminds us that "the whole world is under the control of the evil one." TWO SPIRITUAL KINGDOMS: In

addition to the natural kingdoms of this world there are two spiritual kingdoms: The Kingdom of Satan and the Kingdom Of God. Every person alive is a resident of one of these two kingdoms. The Kingdom of Satan consists of Satan, spiritual beings called demons, and all men who live in sin and rebellion to God's Word. These, plus the world and the flesh, are the spiritual forces of evil at work in the world today. The Kingdom of God consists of God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, spiritual beings called angels, and all men who live in righteous obedience to God's Word. These are the spiritual forces of good. The Kingdom of God is not a denomination. Denominations are man-made organizations of groups of churches. They have been established for practical purposes of organization and administration. Denominations are major church organizations. The Bible speaks of the true Church which is not a denomination or religious organization. The true Church is composed of all those who have become

Spiritual warfare is not a natural battle between flesh and blood. It is not a battle of man against man. It is not a visible battle. It is an invisible struggle in the spirit world. It is a battle within and around man. It is not a visible war because spirits are involved and we learn in Luke 24:39 that a spirit does not have flesh and bones. Spiritual warfare is "multidimensional," which means it is fought in different dimensions. It is: 1 A social battle between the believer and the world: John 15:18-27 2 A personal battle between the flesh and the spirit: Galatians 5:16-26 3 A supernatural battle between the believer and evil supernatural powers: Ephesians 6:10-27 4 A physical battle, with Satan launching attacks of sickness against your body: Job 1-2. Every person alive is engaged in this battle, whether he realizes it or not. There is no neutral ground. Unbelievers are in bondage to evil and have been taken captive by the enemy forces. They are victims of the war. Believers have been freed from the enemy through Jesus Christ and are victors, but they are still engaged as soldiers in the war. THE CONSECRATION CEREMONY OF RT. REV. DON IFEPE AS A BISHOP

On the 20th of June 2015, the Right Rev. Don Ifepe was consecrated a Bishop under the auspices of The Canadian College of Evangelical Bishops. The chief consecrator was Bishop Devon Laid assisted by Bishops Kimando and Lowe. Special Guests were Archbishop Dickson and Bishop Bola Father of the day was Bishop L. Reader. In attendance were friends and well-wishers, fellow clergies and community leaders from all works of life. Bishop Don Ifepe was called into the ministry in 1997; he is the founder and senior pastor of the Believersâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; Full Gospel Vineyard Ministry in Toronto and branches outside Canada. KNOWâ&#x20AC;&#x2C6;YOUR BIBLE Old Testament Divisions The books of the Old Testament are divided into four major groups: Law, History, Poetry and Prophesy THE BOOKS OF THE LAW - There are five books of law. The names of these books are: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. These books record the creation of man and the world by God and the early history of man. They tell how God raised up the nation of Israel as a people through which He could reveal Himself to the nations of the world. These books record the laws of God. The best known parts are the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:3-17), the greatest of all commandments (Deuteronomy 6:5), and the second greatest commandment (Leviticus 19:18). Open your Bible and locate the books of Law in the Old Testament. Locate the three verses mentioned in the preceding paragraph and read them. These are an example of the laws of God recorded in these books. THE BOOKS OF HISTORY - There are 12 books of history in the Old Testament.

The names of the books of history are: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, I and II Samuel, I and II Kings, I and II Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther. Locate these books in your Bible. They are found right after the books of law. The books of history cover a thousand year history of God's people, Israel. Naturally they do not tell everything that happened, but they record the major events and show the results of both following and ignoring God's law. THE BOOKS OF POETRY - There are five books of poetry. The names of the books of poetry are: Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon These books are the worship books of God's people, Israel. They still are used in worship by believers today. Turn to Psalm 23 and read it. This is an example of the beautiful worship poetry contained in these books. THE BOOKS OF PROPHECY - The

books of prophecy are divided into two groups which are called Major and Minor prophetical books. This does not mean the Major Prophets are more important than the Minor Prophets. The title is simply used because the Major Prophets are longer books than the Minor Prophets. There are 17 books of prophecy in the Old Testament. The names of the books of prophecy are: Major Prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel Minor Prophets: Hosea, Nahum, Joel, Habakkuk, Amos, Zechariah, Obadiah, Haggai, Jonah, Zechariah, Micah, Malachi. These books are prophetic messages from God to His people about future events. Many of the prophecies have already been fulfilled, but some remain to be fulfilled in the future. Find these prophetic books in your Bible. They are the last books in the Old Testament.

No wonder the fragrance industry tries so hard and successfully seduces us with scents. Well, the dirt is out on fragrance. As green technology continues to take precedence in the psyche of the educated consumer, some of our favourite fragrances have been exposed as 'deadly sweet'. Dr. Anne Steinmann, internationally recognized expert on pollutant exposures,Â from Melbourne University has conducted a very detailed research, scientifically exposing the myths and shattering what we have believed about fragrances. Being a green enthusiast, I have insisted on many changes in our family and personally when it comes to fragrance and toxic chemicals, we use our own odour eliminators and carcinogen-free cleaners. We stay away from scented candles and dryer sheets and gone are the days when I could not leave home without a whiff of perfume. For me it was a choice but for others it is mandatory as thankfully, many workplaces insist on fragrance-free environments. If you know anyone with a chemical sensitivity then you realize how absolutely miserable and debilitating life can be when they are subjected to fragrances in restaurants, public bathrooms and corporate offices or sitting next to someone in a doctor's office or on a crowded subway. When triggered, one may experience breathing difficulties, asthma attacks, seizures, nausea, irritability, confusion or fatigue simply by inhaling perfume or cologne from a colleague or a church

member. Did you know that ONE drop of perfume is enough to be noticed in a three bedroom apartment? So what's the big deal? Fragrance has been around for centuries. The bottom line is that chemicals can make you sick and is directly linked to infertility, learning disabilities neurological, and respiratory disorders, immune suppression, endocrine disruption and organ damage including the brain. Although "Perfumes and fragrances are the single largest category of cosmetic and personal care products, fragrance is also used in a wide range of household cleaning products." According to Dr. Steinmann "all fragranced consumer products, unless extracted through distillation, emit hazardous chemicals including ones classified as carcinogenic." Check your home for commonly used products laced with fragrance. They are in disinfectant sprays, cleaning products, upholstery, air fresheners, laundry soaps, dryer sheets, scented candles, soaps, shampoo and lotions and in products for both children and adults. The best way to avoid the chemicals is to stop using the offending products. Most consumers who are cognizant of the dangers of chemicals in fragrances and cleaning products have a major challenge even when they pay attention to labels. Although the Cancer Prevention Coalition has made it extremely clear that people should be warned about the dangers of being exposed to chemicals in fragrances due to their toxicity, both the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Canadian Environmental Protection Agency is slow or inadequate in administering laws to protect consumers. Regulations regarding fragrances are grossly flawed as it allows the broad use of words like fragrance and perfume while allowing companies protection from disclosure due to proprietary rights. Information regarding fragrance is also exempt from a company's Material Safety Data Sheet. (MSDS) Even if we do not use fragrances directly, every human on the planet is exposed to low level chemical toxicity. For those

directly affected, the effects can sometimes be worse than cigarette smoke. Inhalation of even small amounts of chemicals add up over time and certain combinations of chemicals that we breathe in over the course of a day certainly adds to our body burden. A single fragrance is actually made up of many synthetic chemicals and many fragrances that claim natural or organic composition often are extracted by a petrochemical. Nowadays companies are expanding the use of "Sensory branding" which takes feelings and emotions into the building of the brand in order to increase sales and loyalty. However the latest research shows that one's natural scent is more seductive than a commercially made perfume. It also suggests that men may be able to sense the time a woman is most fertile based on her natural scent, even though this may be on a subconscious level using pheromones, which are organic molecules in the body known as "secret seducers." So, let's rethink our love affair with chemical fragrances. In our families we have to be the advocates for the young ones who are the most vulnerable and most likely to get cancer and other lifedistressing illnesses when they are older. As a good friend of mine said, "We have to do the research." If we don't, we have no excuse. Isaiah 57:15 “For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” Now let’s reflect in a moment on the vision I saw that led to the writing of this article. Remember, I saw multitude of people whose spirit were so weak to the point of death. The scripture above reveals that God is very interested in the business of Reviving the spirit and hearts of

men. Listen, worship, service and giving don’t mean much to Jehovah God if it is not coming from the spirit and hearts of men.

“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:24

It is God’s agenda to Revive the spirits and hearts of his children who have grown weak, discouraged, faint hearted and lukewarm. It is important that I attempt to define the word Revival so that the information in this article may profit you maximally: to revive means to bring back again, a come back to life and activeness. To be quickened into consciousness, to become fresh and lively and to recover or renewed for performance. Now bearing these different meanings in mind, its clear many of us do need Revival now if we are true to ourselves. Revival is God’s agenda. I mean it is His plan and program for His church today. In these days and time in which mega church-

es are everywhere, pastors counting hundreds of thousands of worshippers at a single service both here in Africa and abroad, while we boast of our numerical strength and our financial status, while we boast of the caliber of people in our churches and the multi-million infrastructure church buildings, let us stop and ask ourselves, if all these our members live right in their various homes, offices, and business places, will the rate of corruption and wickedness reduce? Because beloved man of God, Christ is coming for a glorious church without spot or wrinkles, we must not only be concerned about how much come into our accounts weekly and monthly, we should be concerned about the source from which these millions come. I do not intend to slight anyone, but to revive our conscience unto God. Beloved, do you know that you can be Bishops special son or daughter and still go to hell? You can sponsor church programs and still not make heaven.

Revelation 3:15-16 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” The condition and state of so many of us has even made the preaching of the gospel difficult due to the various criminal and evil activities some of us are involved in. No doubt, God won’t watch the church decline to an irreparable point. I perceive in the realm of the spirit as God prepares to send a tornado of Revival upon His church, so that the unsaved will be pricked in their conscience by just looking at us both at home, work and church. The days in which you labour so hard without corresponding results are gone. Rejoice because God is sending you a Revival that will awaken others to live again.

Daily the challenge of being a Christian leader seems to be increasing, I do make my rounds around the Christian community and I see or would I say there is a clear evidence of dwindling support and relevancy for the Christian leader. I see people question more the need or lack of need for the pastor in the community. Many even assume that the work of the Christian leader has been overtaken by technology, especially through the media, be it television or print media. I look at these things and I see reasoning on the side of the people because there is a need for the Christian leader to step up and become more relevant. I have never been one for the stereo-type, I have never believed in the saying ‘as it was in the beginning, it is now and always will be’, I only agree that phrase to be associated with

the nature of Christ and not of the leadership of the church. Life is moving forward, technology is advancing, things are being done in a revolutionary way, it is no longer business as usual, back in the days, one needed a note book to put his preaching notes down, but in the pulpit of today you find pads on the pulpit and there is nothing wrong with that, so we must also begin to think and look at the need of the people more, we must as Christian leaders wake up to the reality of the fact that the needs of the people have shifted from what it used to be. Christian leaders must now take the bible and the knowledge of the word of God and fuse it into the daily life activities of the people; we must rise above

just preaching the spiritual and begin to teach the people how to develop lifeskills based on the word of God. I have seen this need many years back and as such I hold life-changing seminars geared at using the word of God to develop positive life skills in the people of God. We must go beyond praying for financial breakthrough to teaching our people how to create or how to make wealth. In the bible, God never promised to give anyone money but He promised to give the power, ability, wisdom and authority to make wealth. Deuteronomy 8:18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

WAY FORWARD

Now this scripture alone is enough to show the need for Christian leaders to go beyond the stories of the bible and educate the people on the need to apply wisdom and knowledge in order to win the battle of life. This is the time to step it up to the next level, no one can make it in life by wishing and praying, there must be action to back up desires. The church cannot be seen to lack behind and the Christian leaders cannot be seen to teach or remain in the past.

â&#x20AC;&#x153;The religious leader of the future will be forced to give more attention to the temporal needs of his followers, in the solution of their economic and personal problems of the present, and less attention to the dead past, and the yet unborn future.â&#x20AC;?

The church is a spiritual clinic, all sorts of people with all sorts of illnesses and needs come to the church, some need spiritual guidance, some need financial liberation, and some are in church to find comfort, while some are simply searching for self-identity. The Christian leader must realize all these and find a way to fill these needs as well as cure the sicknesses associated with them. The days of lay-pastoring is over, if you as a leader does not have the necessary skills needed to meet the advanced need of the church today then you must begin to think of how and where to improve in order to be a true leader. The church must rise to the next-level; the church must now step up above the level of just inspiration, and get into real education, training, and empowerment. These are the days of power and demonstration of such, we must as Christian leaders in Christian churches rise up and

take our people to the greater place of faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing of the word of God, we must so feed our people with the word of God that suddenly something great will arise in them and give birth to the victory that would change the world. Christian leaders, it is time to change by being sensitive to the needs of our people, embracing the future while taking care of the present. The pulpit must now speak to the needs and desires of the people. The pulpit must address the day to day challenges of the people; it must be seen to be alive and sensitive to the needs of the people. God bless.

Judgement of the Believer’s Works (pt. 2)

Christians Will Be Judged In The Following Area’s

1. DOCTRINE Doctrine refers to a set of beliefs. What you believe can make or mar you eternally, so it is important you submit yourself only to sound biblical doctrines/teachings. If a persons’ entire life is subjected to demonbased doctrines, there is need for immediate change. Ignorance of the fact that a doctrine or the unwillingness to switch from it (for many do not want to leave their comfort zone), will be inexcusable on the other side of eternity. The judgement will be according to the teachings of the gospel. Whatever is the contrary to the gospel – the practices of men considered vogue or popular opinion, modern man-made standards that negate biblical precepts, the abortions, the adulteries, etc. practiced and accommodated under religious phrases and fallacies – these will be judged as wrong doctrines. That one didn’t know what was right wouldn’t be an excuse. – Romans 2:12-16 2. CONDUCT TO OTHERS How do you relate with those who offend you in the church? This will be one of the criteria for judgement. It’s shocking that there are people who do not greet one another in the church because of one offence or the other. Such attitude destroys fellowship. For this reason, Jesus Christ taught the church how to manage conflict. He said: "Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and

him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17 And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.” – Matthew 18:1517 Disagreements are bound to arise in our midst as believers because we are different people with different upbringing, social and cultural backgrounds, etc. Blending into one entity in Christ cannot be achieved without hitches here and there, However, Christ, His Word, and His Spirit must be the common denominator in the unification process. Christ advocates that when you are offended: A) Initiate the contact – Matt. 18:15 B) Confront the person in private (do not go narrating him/her) – Matt. 18:15 C) If the matter is not resolved meet again with one or two people, to work out a solution - Matt. 18:16 D) If it still cannot be resolved, bring the matter before the church – Matt. 18:17 E) If the offender refuses to obey the decision of the church, regard the person like a heathen.-Matthew 18:17. 3. CANAL TRAITS “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to

be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” - Romans 8:5-8 The flesh cannot perfectly obey God’s law. Those who live to gratify the desires of the flesh therefore cannot please God. The Problem is not with the law of God – God’s law is perfect; the problem is with our flesh which cannot perfectly obey God’s instructions. Does your flesh love to fast? No, it groans when you fast. It is your spirit that benefits. Does your flesh get born again? No, it is only the spirit that can be renewed in Christ. To be controlled therefore, by the flesh is to live according to one’s will. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to free us from selfwill unto God’s will. 4. Words “Death and life are in the power of the tongue……” Proverbs 18:21 Miracles are also performed through the use of words – Romans 4:17 He also sustains this creation with His word: “Upholding all things by the word of His power” – Hebrew1:3 God’s words, therefore transmit power, reveal God’s perfect character and our imperfect character, produce fruit according to what is spoken, shape our destiny and on the other side of eternity, words determine our reward or judgement. ‘The Revolution’

The Christ Chosen Church of God Toronto under the able leadership of Resident Pastors Jonathan & Regina Nnaemeka held their annual youth convention from Thursday the 16th to Sunday the 19th of July 2015 and the theme for this year was ‘The Revolution’. The event started with a community clean-up and parade on Thursday, while Friday was the seminar and drama. The guest speaker at this occasion Bishop L. Reader talked about the need for the youths of today to stand up for righteousness in a society where immorality seems to be the order of the day. In his opening remarks, the resident pastor of the church encouraged the youths to start a revolution in form of maintaining holiness and dignity in life. On Saturday, the church hosted members as well as well-wishers to a very successful barbeque event, one that was full of fun, food and excitement. Sunday was the climax of the four day event and was marked by thanksgiving service and appreciation to God for granting the church the grace to host a very success youth convention.

The World In Focus

Remembering The Day The World Changed Forever September 11 2001 remains a day that would never be forgotten in the history of mankind. It was the day in my opinion that the world changed forever. Before the attack on America, travelling across the world was regarded as pleasure and an adventure to look forward to, but that all changed after 911 as it is generally called. Fear, suspicion, bridge of privacy, accusation and counter accusation has become the order of the day not just in America but the world over. Many governments were dismantled as a consequence and aftermath effect of 911. Countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya to mention a few experienced and indeed are still experiencing instability in governance as a result of that one day that witnessed an act of brutality equal to no other in the history of the world. Thousands lost their innocent lives, some young, very young and some old but it did not matter because they were all innocent people whose crime simply was being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

America was known as the super-power of the world, she was a country no one dared to dream of attacking, she was invisible to the weapons of terror, and she had everything it needed in terms of military weapon and personal? So we all thought growing up until the 911 attack and as I watched the television on that faithful day, the then American president Bush recited the verses of Psalm 23, I realized that America was not the superpower we all thought but rather God in heaven was, and so we must learn from the tragedies that confront our lives that everyone is open to attack of the enemy but when we hide ourselves under the protection of the Most High then we are truly protected by the true Super-Power. In memory of all the thousands that lost their life in the 911 attack of 14 years ago, Miles magazine pays our tribute to you.

The Syrian Refugee Crisis I would conclude this section by reminding the world and the Christian community in general to lend a helping

hand to the thousands of refugees emerging from Syria as a result of the terror that has taken over their homelands. It is insane, inhumane, and unbelievable but not a surprise as the bible in the 24th chapter of Matthew talks about the signs of the end-times. Matthew 24:7-8 â&#x20AC;&#x153;For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrowsâ&#x20AC;? So indeed we are experiencing these signs of a world at the verge of disaster, it used to be a group of people united by some form of believe, religion, race or common interest fighting others but today you find that Christians are killing Christians, Muslims killing Muslims, brothers killing brothers and all sorts of iniquity. In all these, the Lord encourages us not to be moved because He will arise eventually and bring deliverance and redemption to the righteous. For now, do what you can to be of help, even say a prayer every day when you wake up for the thousands of people in the middle of these crisis. God will bless you as you do.

WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS FOR WORLD SOCCER Love him, hate him, it does not really matter, the truth remains that the man Sepp Blatter revolutionized world soccer by giving opportunities to countries of the world that ordinarily would never have gotten the privilege to be on the world map when it comes to soccer. Elected FIFA president on June 8 1998, joined FIFA in 1975, born on March 1936, Blatter hails from Switzerland where he resides till date, he rose through the ranks first as the technical director in 1975-1981, then as General Secretary 1981-1998 and since then has been the president of FIFA.

Some Of His Achievements: *World cup is hosted for the first time in Asia and Africa *Promoting women soccer *Brought the spirit of fair play to the game thereby fighting racism through soccer *Driving force behind the SOS children’s villages now operating in 132 countries and currently provides care in 449 villages *He is directly involved in the fight against child labor worldwide which was why FIFA under his leadership has signed a code of conduct with the UN’s International Labour Organization (ILO) *Brought in unbelievable cooperate investments and sponsorships to the beautiful game as it is called. Now that his time is ending very soon and it is marred with allegations of bribery and corruption, though no one has been able to directly proof his links to any of these accusations. America through the FBI has stepped in as usual, forcing a total dismantling of FIFA’s administration. The problem that I see with this is the same problem we are witnessing in the Arab world where America stepped in as ‘messiahs of liberation’ only to find out too late that they just destroyed a working system without a clue on how to rebuild. In the case of Blatter, I see a greater conspiracy than meets the eye, from the moment the coming two world cup tournaments were awarded to Qatar and Russia respectively, while neglecting America and England, it became clear that a war path has been set. No wonder all of a sudden FIFA is under investigation and needs to be totally overhauled. Like they say, “It is very easy to destroy, the difficult task is in rebuilding”, I hope that the world and especially America has the solution and formula for building a greater FIFA because if history is anything to go by, then the future is not very bright for the continued development of world soccer. Hey, what do I know, I am only a pastor airing my own views.

selfishness, the good relationship with God, was broken. People wanted to sort everything out for themselves, without God's help.

Let me ask again, "Who are you?" Do you live according to "God's Word"? If you're not living according to "God's Word", it's not because you've been created that way. It is how you choose to live. It's your choice. You also have the freedom to choose to live according to "God's Word" that is, to live close to God, to draw from His strength, to enjoy His love, to faithfully serve Him, and to choose to live for Him each and every day.

So, who are you? And what do you choose? 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Our LORD never said it would be easy....but He said it would be worth it! NOW NOT THEN THE MYSTERY OF SALVATION

2 Corinthians 5:17 “17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” I want to speak about the mystery that is in salvation because many even in the body of Christ seem not to accept and comprehend the simplicity involved. I have read my bible over and over again, listened to great men and women of God speak about this salvation and it has never changed nor has its worth ever diminished. It is the work of God through His son Jesus Christ, and it guarantees that anyone that would accept Him as his personal Lord and Savior will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit by which all his previous sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ which was shed on the cross of Calvary. This is the greatest miracle of all miracles, it is the beginning of a new life in Christ Jesus, it cannot be bought with money, nor can it be obtained by self-righteousness, it is not given by man or humanity but it is rather a gift from eternal, from immortality to mortality. Man is only positioned to receive and not to give it therefore it is not subject to abuse or corruption. When a person is born again, old things (Sin and other imperfections), are watched away, the then life of the person does not matter anymore because they take on a new form in the spirit man. The man of sin is no longer able to operate and have dominion over such person but the new man of the spirit begins to manifest.

The process of admission into this elite group of humanity is very simple, it starts with a simple confession from your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and you then believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. You will be saved, in other words, you will receive the new life in Him.

You see the mystery is in your mouth and in your heart, what you believe is what will come through for you, it is not what others think of you but what you think, believe and confess of yourself is what will eventually come through for you. He (Christ) died and rose from the dead, and if so, there must have been a power of some sort that rose him up, that is the same power that will transform you from darkness to a place of ultimate light. Your past will then become a lie, you will inherit a new life in Christ, one that does not require any more sacrifices but simple obedience. I can tell you of this because I have experienced it and it is one of joy, hope, faith in God’s ability, deliverance, but above all these, it is one of total liberty from the bondage of this world. You suddenly become a new creation, old things will melt away right before your very eyes and you will begin to experience the joy of the Lord, and the joy in the Lord.

BUT NOW 2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”

I can vividly remember when I was attacked by armed robbers at gun point, they shot at me but somehow missed me and I came out of that incident unscathed. There are so many testimonies that we all can relate to, like being in a plane and going through serious turbulence. What about in time of labor for childbirth, you can hear some women cursing out and swearing that they would never put themselves through such thing again in life but at the end they do it again and again.

My question then is, what is that force or power that leads a man through the turmoil’s of life to a place of benevolence? It is called grace and it is always more than sufficient for those who believe. It was grace that led Joseph through the pit to the palace; it was grace that took Moses from the palace of Pharaoh through the wilderness to the palace of God in eternity with glory. Grace is often described as ‘unmerited favor’, it is greater than money, priceless than gold, and shinier than diamond. I cannot fully find the right adjectives to qualify grace, it is something that works like a dream to man. When in difficulty, do not ask God to make the problem disappear but simply ask Him for grace to go through and conquer your challenges.

I tell you, there is a power that is activated only in times of personal crisis, I often could relate to the story of David in 1 Samuel 30, when they came back from war to find that the whole village has been raided by the enemy and all their families taken away into captivity. It was terrible for David because the whole people blamed him for it and were planning to stone him to death. I would imagine that if it was you or I, we would think of proving to the people that it was not really our fault that they got into the mess in the first place. But David simply encouraged himself in the Lord and sought the face of God while believing that there was hope for

Apostle Paul testifies that he had a tormentor, an agent of Satan sent to buffet him on every side and he found it highly impossible to overcome the situation, isn’t it ironic? That Paul whose shadow was able to heal the sick and raise the dead also had an infirmity that he could not overcome, he describes it as an agent of Satan sent to buffet him. Let me digress a little bit, many times we think that our situation is so big and that every bodies

life is better than ours. Yes I may not have been through the exact one that you are facing right now but please do remember that God is the same and He allows everyone to go through their own situation according to their ability. If Apostle Paul could face his own and had to rely on God for deliverance then you too must learn to allow God do His perfect work in your life as well. Paul approached God on three occasions and this was God’s reply to him 2 Corinthians 12:9 “And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake.
