Time To Raise Your Standard &Instill Fear in the Opposition I am an addict fan of soccer, and I learnt something from the years of watching soccer games, when a team is facing an opponent that seems to be very tough and resilient, the coach always changes the tactics and approach of his team to the game. What that means is that he finds a way to raise the game of his team so that they will overrun and out play the resistance of the opposition. This is the point I want to make in this issue of the Miles, it is time for you to raise your game, raise your standard and overrun the enemy no matter what opposition or strength he has come against you with. You cannot lie down and accept defeat in any way; you cannot afford it, for to do that is to accept the norm which is to fail. I have seen the enemy in so many ways and at so many times, now, when I say the enemy it does not necessarily mean a person but it can as well be any situation that causes you to falter or stumble, you must learn to rise above such and take that which is yours. I am an ardent believer that we are treated the way we accept to be treated; you can break the yoke of mediocracy over your life and step up to where you belong. You cannot keep accepting the average life and want or expect the greater abundant life to just come of its own accord, no, it is not possible, but when you raise your game, your standard will adapt and suddenly that next place will become clearer to you.

You see, the opposition abounds because you continue to dwell at the same level and in the same region as them, but when you raise your game, be it in prayers or in goals and vision then they have no way of reaching you nor can they touch you anymore. Take for instance a guy that used to be a teacher in a high school, so his fellow teachers at that time had the ability and opportunity to argue with him, make up stories to the school administration against him, trying to get him fired because they all operate at the same level but if for any reason this man decides to step up his game in life say by contesting in an election and eventually winning. Now, he has become, say an honorable member of parliament in the house. Tell me do you think that his now former colleagues can touch him by way of obstruction anymore? Of course not, same it is in the spiritual realms of life, if you are going through too many trials and tribulations then get more into the presence of God through prayer and fasting, suddenly that situation that looked impossible and difficult will be solved because you raised your game (see Mathew 17:14-21). I cannot kid you, there are forces of evil on earth and they are not mystical but people you see every day, they can touch you and hurt you because you have not stepped up, once you do, they would become afraid of you, even the devil himself will make emergency plans to stay away from you because you now carry fire and he or she does not want to be consumed. Be strong, be bold, you are a winner and not a loser, a victor and never a victim.

PROSTATE CANCER In most cases, prostate cancer starts in the gland cells - this is called adenocarcinoma. Prostate cancer progresses very slowly. Studies have shown that 80% of men die of old age, without ever knowing they had prostate cancer Experts say that prostate cancer starts with tiny alterations in the shape and size of the prostate gland cells - Prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN). This is further classified as low grade which is normal and or high grade which is abnormal. Classification of Prostate Cancer Staging of the cancer, or how far it has spread helps define the prognosis - it also helps when selecting which therapies to
use. The most common system today for determining this is the TNM (Tumor/Nodes/Metastases). This involves defining the size of the tumor, how many lymph nodes are involved, and whether there are any other metastases. Clinically, T1 and T2 cancers are found only in the prostate, and nowhere else, while T3 and T4 have spread outside the prostate.
There are many ways to find out whether the cancer has spread. Computer tomography will check for spread inside the pelvis, bone scans will decide whether the cancer has spread to the bones, and endo rectal coil magnetic resonance imaging will evaluate the prostatic capsule and the sem-

inal vesicles. The Gleason Score A pathologist will look at the biopsy samples under a microscope. If cancer tissue is detected, the pathologist then grades the tumor. The Gleason System of grading goes from 2 to 10. The higher the number, the more abnormal the tissues What are the symptoms of prostate cancer? During the early stages of prostate cancer there are usually no symptoms. Most men at this stage find out that they have prostate cancer after a routine checkup or blood test.
When symptoms do exist, they are usually one or more of the following: • The patient urinates more often • The patient gets up at night more often to urinate • He may find it hard to start urinating • He may find it hard to keep urinating once he has started • There may be blood in the urine • Urination might be painful • Ejaculation may be painful (less common) • Achieving or maintaining an erection may be difficult (less common) If the prostate cancer is advanced, the following symptoms are also possible: • Bone pain, often in the spine (vertebrae), pelvis, or ribs • The proximal part of the femur can be painful • Leg weakness (if cancer has spread to the spine and compressed the spinal cord) • Urinary incontinence (if cancer has spread to the spine and compressed the spinal cord) Fecal incontinence (if cancer has spread to the spine and compressed the spinal cord)

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might” (that is, whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability). God prizes diligence highly. We read in Proverbs 12:27:
“Diligence is man’s precious possession. “Proverbs 21:5 amplifies: “The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty (Abundance).” A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. - Proverbs 10:4 In fact, God demands diligence!
“You shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God” (Deu.t 6:17). & In Deuteronomy 28:1 we read, “If you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God … the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.” Wealth is promised, victory is promised, but there’s a requirement on our end to qualify for the rewards of God and the proof of your desire lies in your diligent persevering pursuit!!! Hebrews 11:6 shows us that God takes diligence seriously:
“He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” God can see who is serious about seeking Him. We are to strive for the goals that He sets for us. Your faith without works is dead. Ask, Seek, Knock are all avenues into accessing Gods treasures. But they are all ACTIONS. So if you truly want something. You must be DILIGENT! You must be willing to invest all your energy in the things that are necessary to obtain your heart’s desire! Will Come To You
Lack of initiative and investment is a common denominator for failure and poverty in life, so one wonders why do humans not invest, why do we not take initiative to move forward in life. Many argue that people do not know what to invest in, while that might be true but I still believe that it is not even 10% of the truth because, if we are created by a higher power then we are also equipped with all the knowledge to succeed. I see fear and an attitude of giving up easily as the two factors that culminate in humans becoming failures in life, why do I say that? While, it is easier to succeed than to fail if you really think about it, to succeed you only need one thought in your head, the thought that I must make it, that’s all you need, you cannot be thinking I must make it and at the same time considering all the factors working against your success, no, it is only when you program yourself for failure, then you now have the tedious job of thinking up all the reasons why you must fail, there is no money, there are no true friends, oh, the world is not fair, and the rest of the excuses. There is a secret that I want to reveal to you in this financial column, do you know that all you need will come to you, the ventures, the opportunities, the money, your destiny helper, the fortunes and fame, they are programmed to actually locate you and not you to locate them? – Psalm 23:6 “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever”
When you discover this, and actually allow this revelation to sink in, then suddenly your spirit man is quickened and you will no longer be in the mood to chase but in the mood of expectation, no wonder the bible say’s “Time and chance happens to all”, but unfortunately because many are not in the mood of expectation, they often miss the opportunity to breakthrough. SIMPLY LAUNCH-OUT AND GOD WILL DO THE REST Luke 5:4-6 “When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." 5 But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net." 6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.” To launch is to invest, take risk, start off, move out, and begin something new. That is all it took Peter to encounter his breakthrough in life, he was a fisherman who after toiling in vain all night had an opportunity to serve God by releasing his boat to the master for the day, at the end of which, an instruction, (Divine) came from God saying go back and launch again, now, Peter did make his feelings known but he went on to obey the master who at that time was just another ordinary preacher to him but by virtue of obedience, he encountered the greatest financial breakthrough his life has ever experienced. The question is, where did the fishes come from, how could they encounter so much loss through the night, but at the word of Christ, failure suddenly turned to riches? The answer is

The same commander from heaven is calling you to action right now, another preacher who knows absolutely nothing about your business is writing to you right now and telling you to step up and launch out into the deep and please do not try the excuse that you had tried many times before because this is your right time to move up. In the book of John 21:6, same story but the language is a little bit different, while Luke says, “Launch out into the deep”, John says, “Place your night on the right side”, both are the same when a man is inspired to do it all over again, that inspiration will direct them to the right side of life. There is a right side waiting for you, it is in your will to make it and it is in your power to overcome all past discouragements and take up your cross to win, and on the right side knowing that the fishes will locate you but your net must be in the deep as well as on the right side. This is your call to action, move from where you are, and always remember that life is fair because it is unfair to everyone at some point. Going Forward – the miles magazine will be presenting business opportunities for people who want to break the cycle of poverty, people who are interested in starting something of their own, while we might not go as far as endorsing them but we would present a very fair evaluation that could help you make a decision. The Call To Arms ‘God is calling His people to intelligent combat’ sword. Satan's attacks are called fiery darts. Faith is the good fight and believers are told to war a good warfare. The Christian life is still war. Satan continues to battle for the soul and spirit of man. He still attacks the physical body with sickness, disease, and bondage. The call is going out for believers to arm themselves with the Word of God and take healing and deliverance to this generation. In the New Testament Gospels, Jesus never commissioned anyone to preach the Gospel without also commanding them to minister healing and deliverance. He told them
"As you go ...heal the sick, cast out demons..." (Matthew 10:1,
When I sat at my home office desk to write this article, I was very careful not to be politically incorrect because of the sensitivity of the word arms in the wake of the recent violence happening around the world right now, but alas, I felt that it was most needed at this point for Christians to realize that the world is truly facing a spiritual force of evil and if left unchecked would cause pain to humanity. Christians must arise in prayers and be armed with faith because the enemy has come like a flood, America is at war with herself, the police are now the target of the very people they are supposed to be protecting, nations are invading other nations, the ter-
ror networks seem to have France in the palm of their hands to attack at will and kill dozens of innocent citizens. There is a very strong invasion of evil, though not surprising if you read our article on the signs of the times, but never the less, we must arise and put the enemy to flight, now remember that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual to the pulling down of strongholds. The early Church viewed their spiritual experience in terms of warfare. Military terminology is used throughout the New Testament. Protection is in the armor of God. The Word of God is compared to a

It was not long until 70 more disciples were needed and were also sent to preach, teach, heal, and deliver. There are many new methods that can assist in spreading the Gospel. They include things such as printing presses, computers, radios, televisions, audio and video tapes, and satellites. New methods of transportation also help people travel rapidly to spread the Gospel. These new technologies are all useful but the real power of the Gospel is still internal. By this we mean the power is in the Gospel itself. This is what the parable of the leaven illustrates: “And again He said, Whereunto shall I liken the Kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.” (Luke 13:20-21) This passage reveals that God's work does not proceed with a lot of glamor and pub-
licity. You might expect the Kingdom to spread by external means like subduing armies and conquering continents. The expansion of the Kingdom of God is as leaven in a lump of bread dough. The leaven may be small and hidden, but it has unlimited potential. Like leaven, the power of God's Kingdom is not external but rather internal. The Gospel of the Kingdom of God will multiply to spread throughout the whole "lump" of the world because of the internal power of the Kingdom which is like leaven in bread dough.

This means that the extension of the Gospel is not limited where people do not have advanced technology. With even a small amount of faith, the Kingdom will advance. The greatest spiritual harvest in the history of the Church remains to be gathered. As in New Testament times, it will be reaped through the demonstration of God's power in healing and deliverance.
Jesus also illustrated the internal power of the Gospel by the growth of a mustard seed: â&#x20AC;&#x153;. . . Unto what is the Kingdom of God like? And whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden, and it grew and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.â&#x20AC;? (Luke 13:18-19)
This is why the Apostle Paul said: And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power; That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (I Corinthians 2:4-5)

You cannot fulfill responsibility without authority. Jesus also gave His followers authority to fulfill the responsibility. That authority includes power over all the power of the enemy: And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils . . . they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. (Mark 16:17-18) Are you ready to answer the spiritual call to arms and move from a life of sickness, disease, and bondage to a life of victory in Jesus Christ? Are you ready to minister in the demonstration of God's power? Are you ready to do battle for the physical body? Do you want to see the sick made well and those bound with demons liberated? This is the ministry of healing and deliverance. It is not just for denominational leaders. It is not just for the pastors and evangelists. "These signs shall follow them that believe." Are you a believer? If so, you, too, must answer this spiritual call to arms.

WORKING OUT YOUR SALVATION
The Bible says to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12). Healing is part of salvation provided through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You may ask, "If it is provided through the atonement, then how do you also `work it out'?” Faith and works go hand-in-hand. Faith without works is dead, just as works without faith is useless (James 2:17-26). You must be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. The healing promise for this lesson reveals that you are to work in cooperation with God in the area of physical health: “… If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all these statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.” (Exodus 15:26) The section on "Working It Out" takes the concepts taught and provides opportunity for you to exercise your faith by personal application. It helps you become a doer of the Word, not just a hearer. This section is very impor-
tant, If you are sick, it is designed to lead you step-by-step to receive your healing. If you are ministering to someone who is sick, first share the content of the lesson with them and then complete this section together to lead them to receive healing. Read the story of Jesus and the Syrophonecian woman in Mark 7:24-30. This account reveals that healing is the "children's bread." This means healing belongs to those who are children of God's Kingdom. God does heal unbelievers in mercy to draw them to salvation, but healing is really for God’s children. If you need healing, the very first step is to become a child of God. You must repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and healer. If you have not yet done that, pray this prayer: Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and I acknowledge and repent of my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the one true and living God and that He is the way, the truth, and the life. I accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and believe that He died for me on the cross. Forgive

me and cleanse me from all my sin, in Jesus' name, Amen. A good spiritual foundation is necessary in order to wage successful spiritual warfare. If you are a new believer, do you feel you have been a victim of the invisible war? In what areas of your life or ministry have you been losing the battle? Have you been losing the battle in the Spiritual realm? Emotional realm? Physical realm? Mental realm? As you study this, you will learn strategies to help you in these areas. Review the story in II Kings 6. Do you know people like Gehazi or those in the city of Dothan who are unaware or fearful of Satan's attacks on their physical bodies? How might you help them? Since spiritual warfare has many dimensions; You must war personally against sin, Socially against evil in the world, And supernaturally, through the healing and deliverance ministry. Begin to pray about your part in this spiritual battle.

Annual Regional Convention The church of God in Ontario under the able leadership of Bishop Walker and First lady Walker held their annual regional convention from Sunday the 5th to Wednesday 7th of June this year @ the magnificent Praise Cathedral Worship Centre – 6785 Millcreek Drive, Mississauga, Ontario. As evident from the pictures the event was very well attended, the theme of this year’s convention was ‘The Drought Is Over’ and speakers were drawn from the church of God in Ontario as well as the United States and they included, Dr. Thomas Propes – General Secretary COG Cleveland, TN, Bishop Kevin Wallace from The Redemption Point, Chattanooga, TN and Bishop Courtney Williams from the Refugee Temple COG, Bridgeport, CT From Toronto were so many Church of God Bishops including Bishops Blake, Ransford Jones, Kwame, Miller, and Vernon to mention just a few. The convention truly was a huge success, and the vision of the administrative Bishop (Walker) was evident as togetherness, sound word, power and grace flowed throughout the convention.

“At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them.” Life they say “is a stage, and we are characters and players on this stage”, on its own, life deals everyone its own measure of trouble, some in the arena of lack, others in the arena of need but one thing is very clear, it is a rat-race, it is a system of ‘dog eat dog’, the more you labour, it seems the less you are blessed while on the other hand some have so much money that they do not even know what to do with all the wealth in their possession. I am often confronted by people who have questions and doubts as to the fact that we serve a very just God, they claim that God cannot be just and yet watch and seem to allow so much injustice to go on around the world, I would have been tempted to believe them if I have not known the mysteries of God. It is not your present that will determine your future, in the real sense; your presence is actually there to derail you from the true destiny that awaits you, it is very important that you know who you are in Christ, what plans the Father has already made for you before you were born, and stick to it like glue to a stamp on a letter because that is what will get you across to victory. Yes, that dream that you have that seems like an illusion too far to achieve, well, that is what God is going to perfect in your life but you must learn to believe and stand still for you to see the manifestation. Many times you will be told to move your grounds, to change your belief, and to see yourself as a dreamer whose dream will never come to pass
because it does not seem realistic but you must have the tenacity in your inner spirit to withstand all the pressures and keep believing in those dreams because they are what will see you through to your victory. Our greatest fear in life is the fear of standing alone but the scripture above shows us clearly that it is an inevitable stage in our journey to destiny alignment, by now you must have known that I am a believer in divine destiny, you must have known that I have a book titled ‘Abandon Yourself To Destiny’, if you do not know or if you do not have a copy then simply call us @ 416.576.3775 to purchase yours now. In so many occasions I have been threatened to change my stand, people have tried to get me to change my position on issues but I am learning every day that it does not matter how many people that stand against you, once you have the truth and belief, you will overcome. You must first of all learn to hear and work with God, then all other things does not matter because one with God is majority in the world. You must be firm, once your decision is in the interest of you and fairness, you must be fair to all sides involved but do not let them use you and dump you, ‘The same bible that says “Bless those who spitefully use you” also says “Be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove’.
The Lord is Faithful 17 “But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.” Apostle Paul the author of this scripture was often persecuted and he often had to

stand alone because the world does not like a man of vision, when you know where you are heading and who you are, they want to obstruct your movement. I have travelled that road many times, it is not a sweet one, sometimes your very soul will begin to fight against you, most times the easy way out is to surrender and allow them take you by the neck and swallow you up but you must trust in the God of deliverance who will not allow you to be put to shame. Money may be scarce at the time you seem to need it the most but do not succumb to pressure, so don’t sell out like Esau who for momentary hunger sold out his own birthright, you are a child of God born of destiny and made for signs and wonders, you will manifest after your trials are over. Always remember this, the world threatens you because they want to know if you know where you are heading, then once you pass that test and they see clearly that you know your destination, then they would help you get there. The iron gates of the city will open eventually for you of their own accord but that is after you have proven yourself worthy of such honor. You may feel that you are the most unappreciated human being on earth but that is not exactly true, people are watching and appreciating you but they are just watchers, you will prove yourself and the rest will follow. Always know that God is faithful who have promised and will surely deliver you from all your trials, but you must learn to appreciate the fact that sometimes you will have to stand alone and face your trials. Do you know that when a person lacks a heart of appreciation it can lead them to giving up on the worship of God? You must never ever lose sight of the goodness of the Lord in your life daily, but your question might then be, what do I have to thank God for, when my bills are mounting by the day? You are alive at least, and that is why you are able to see the bills right? Thank Him for the life you have and for the sound mind that allowed you to know the challenges you

PRAYERS DO WORK This issuesâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; testimonial comes from me (Bishop Don Ifepe). It was one Sunday in the middle of the month of July as we finished having a wonderful service in which I preached on the need for believers to raise their spiritual standard through fasting and prayers especially in this time and age when the enemy has come like a flood. As we departed from service I, my wife and son, we dropped off some people and got back on the road heading east when suddenly there was a very loud bang from the back of the car, at this time we had no clue what it was but on absorbing the pressure, and finally coming to a halt a few meters away, we discovered that a motorcycle had slammed into our rear and badly damaged the vehicle I was driving. I rushed backwards to attend to the motorcycle driver fearing the worst that he might be dead, on reaching him other pedestrians and drivers had also pulled over and rushed to the scene of the accident, one pastor on recognizing me knelt over the injured man and invited me to start praying for the man that was by now still lying motionless. As I bent over to pray other people joined us in praying that God revive and preserve the life of the young man. Eventually the ambulance arrived at the scene and he was taken away to the hospital, the police on the scene later informed us that he was not dead but expected to make a full recovery. I and my family thank the Lord for saving the life of the young man because even though he was at fault as well as driving under the influence of alcohol (According to the police man investigating), we believed in the power of prayers and the grace of God to have mercy on him and save his life. ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE The bible declares that the just shall live by faith, but I often wonder if you know what has been and can still be achieved when you have faith? Well, here is a list of just a few of them as taken from the book of Hebrews chapter 11: 1. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. 2. By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. 3. By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him"; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 4. By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly
fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
