Flying

Editorially Speaking

‘without’ Wings Greetings to all! Just like that, the first quarter of the New Year is already upon us and it looks like the same old story is about to repeat itself in your life. In last years issue, my editorial was on the fact that there is still time for you to make it in life and now I want to assure you that the time has come. All you need do is dust off the dirt on your pathway and start heading to the promise land, whatever or wherever that may be for you this year. I had some time on my own towards the tail end of last year and again, in the very early hours and days of this New Year, I began to reason with God. I asked what and where one should focus his/her energy this year, what makes sense and what exactly does not make sense. I got the most revealing answer ever! The Lord specifically replied “Son, whatever makes sense to you also makes sense to me your father, but you must prove to me that you really, really want and desire that which you seek to have and I will give it to you without a fuss” Do you fully understand or comprehend the true meaning of that statement? If you desire it enough to let God and the forces of life know, then you will surely have it in the very palms of your hands. That is all it is to this year. You must take a step to fly by going to the mountain top and let go of yourself with your wings spread out to fly, knowing that without wings God and the very forces of nature will all work together for you in an amazing way. THE IRON GATES OF THE CITY WILL OPEN TO YOU THIS YEAR OF ITS OWN ACCORD (see Acts 12:10) The scripture talks about the fact that you

7

crossed the first and second post of captivity but now you have arrived at the Iron Gate that opens unto the city and it will open on its own accord. Now I do not know if you really understand what this means in the real sense of it. You have struggled to achieve what you have so far but this is the year where things will begin to happen effortlessly in your life. It is called divine favor. If I were you, I would begin to try out those things that did not work out for me in the past. I would begin to reach out to the very ends of the earth in search of whatever would bring meaning to my life. Do not look back and remember the things of old but rather set your mind on the life ahead of you. You must not use the things that happened in another season to make conclusions on how your life will end in this dispensation. I believe in the power of the word and of due season because all things are possible but in their due season. I am a living witness of how the Almighty One of Israel decides things but only in their due season. Always remember that a word spoken in its season is so powerful and sharper than any obstacle that may be set on its way. (See Proverbs 15:23) I rest my case for this year. I spoke in this season of the need to tap into the anointing of progress without excess labor, open doors without merit and answers to prayers instantly. The flood gates are open for you. All you need do is to go out there in the world and lay your hands on something new, good and exciting. Once again I welcome you on behalf of the Miles organization worldwide to your season of open doors and favor in His mighty name.

PROSTATE CANCER Prostate cancer is a disease which only affects men. Cancer begins to grow in the prostate - a gland in the male reproductive system. The word "prostate" comes from Medieval Latin prostate and Medieval French prostate. The ancient Greek word prostate means "one standing in front", from proistanai meaning "set before". The prostate is so called because of its position - it is at the base of the bladder. What is the prostate? The prostate is an exocrine gland, its secretions ends outside the body and it is located directly under the bladder, in front of the rectum. It is approximately the size of a walnut. The urethra - a tube that goes from the bladder to the end of the penis and carries urine and semen out of the body - goes through the prostate

There are thousands of tiny glands in the prostate - they all produce a fluid that forms part of the semen. This fluid also protects and nourishes the sperm. While the sperm is kept and produced in the testicles, When a male climaxes during sexual intercourse, contractions force the prostate to secrete this fluid into the urethra and leave the body through the penis. Urine control As the urethra goes through the prostate: the prostate gland is also involved in urine control with the use of prostate muscle fibers. These muscle fibers in the prostate contract and release controlling the flow of urine flowing through the urethra.

The Prostate Produces Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) The epithelial cells in the prostate gland produce a protein called PSA (prostatespecific antigen). The PSA helps keep the semen in its liquid state. Some of the PSA

part 1

escapes into the bloodstream. We can measure a man's PSA levels by checking his blood. If a man's levels of PSA are high, it might be an indication of either prostate cancer or some kind of prostate condition. Diagrammatic presentation of the prostate gland and surrounding organs High blood PSA levels, is an indication that something may be wrong in the prostate. Male hormones affect the growth of the prostate, and also how much PSA the prostate produces. Medications aimed at altering male hormone levels may affect PSA blood levels. If male hormones are low during a male's growth and during his adulthood, his prostate gland will not grow to full size. In some older men the prostate may continue to grow, especially the part that is around the urethra. This can make it more difficult for the man to pass urine as the growing prostate gland may be causing the urethra to collapse. When the prostate gland becomes too big in it is called Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). This condition is not a cancer and it can be treated. In most cases, prostate cancer starts in the gland cells - this is called adenocarcinoma. Prostate cancer progresses very slowly. Studies have shown that 80% of men die of old age, without ever knowing they had prostate cancer. Experts say that prostate cancer starts with tiny alterations in the shape and size of the prostate gland cells Prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN). This is further classified as low grade which is normal and or high grade which is abnormal.

38 years ago on August 25, 1976, Bishop Lennox DaCosta Walker gave his life to the Lord after a near death and a life altering incident. For those familiar with Bishop Walker’s ministry and leadership, they know he has served in numerous positions in the Church of God. Under the tutelage of Dr. Lindsey Arscott, Bishop Walker was a student at Bethel Bible College in Jamaica and upon graduation he served as Pastor of Old Harbour and West Prospect New Testament Church of God. Bishop Walker also served as Assistant Pastor and Assistant Superintendent of the Redemption International Faith Ministries for seven (7) years and for two (2) years as Senior Pastor of East Toronto Church of God, now known as Grace Fellowship Church of God Ministries in Scarborough, Ontario.

THE HALLMARK of Bishop Walker’s legacy is not in bricks and stones. His joy is to see lives transformed and unbelievers accepting Jesus Christ as Lord. Bishop Walker’s delight is to empower, rise up and encourage young people to carry the mantle of advancing the work in all areas of ministry to build the Kingdom of God. It is for that reason that Bishop Walker strongly believes that young people should be given second

opportunities. They are not the generation of the future, but the generation of the NOW! A resident of Mississauga, Ontario, Bishop Walker is married to the love of his life, Dorett, for over thirty-three (33) years. He has three sons (Damar, Shamar and Lamar) and two adopted daughters (Shawn and Chaunyce). Elijah, his first grandson, is their pride and joy. A congenial leader with great compassion for others; He cries easily. He loves politics, golfing and the finer things in life. Bishop Walker, no doubt, is building a dynamic spiritual legacy that indeed will impact the church, education and political arenas globally for a long time.

do meetings. How do we save the lost, the single mothers that need help in servicing their car without exploiting them, and the young girl that is in labor, who will go with her to the hospital? We need to help them not just in our church but even in our communities. We need to stop doing church and start meeting some of the social needs in our communities. It is interesting that in John 2, the first miracle done by Jesus Christ was in a social gathering, and he was not even revealed yet. I love to see a bible school for the denomination! In 1960, Kennedy at age 43 was elected president. In 1961, it’s interesting that he said “Ask not what the country can do for you but what you can do for your country”. I find a lot of young men are

THE INTERVIEW Miles: Bishop, where are you taking this whole church to as the administrative head of the church? BW: One, I want the church to return to the Acts church because I find that we have departed from that. We must go back to the Act 2 church. In Acts 4:13 when they were before the Sanhedrin council, Peter and John were basically at the end. They testified that they had been with Jesus because Jesus spent three years transforming ignorant and illiterate men to men of knowledge and wisdom. I want the knowledge of the Word to be brought back into the pulpit. I want the power and grace of the Word to return to our pulpits and that’s one. Two, I want to empower men in terms of getting ready for ministry in the area of academic achievement. It’s not just to take up the bible and preach. Men need to go to school because the paradigm has shifted. It’s no longer uneducated people running after the truth but scholars want the truth and we are not prepared to give them the truth. I want to leave a legacy not in buildings but in human beings, a legacy of truth and the Acts church. Therefore, I want to mentor young men and women. Hence every year at Praise cathedral I give out scholarships, as well as opening an RESP account for any baby born and dedicated in our church. Three, the church is having light being shone in light. We need to go out there and

12

coming to church and asking what the church can do for them, but the key to progressing the gospel is for us to come with the mentality of what we can as ministers do to make the church beautiful and great. One of the things that bothers me moving forward is that we have spiritualized everything in the kingdom and that is so wrong. Not everything needs to be spiritualized, even wealth. Peter asked Jesus a question, what am I going to get for all these and he answered “no man who leaves all to follow him that will not gain it a hundred fold in this life and in the life to come, eternal life.” Now, my question is why would God who owns the whole earth and everything in it, who gives out so liberally, turn around and punish his faithful’s

with lack and want? Miles: What advice do you have for young and upcoming pastors? BW: I want to tell them to be patient, be teachable and find a mentor who can guide them through the journey of church building. You must become very relevant not just in the church but also in their communities because the world is evolving into a full service entity that doesn’t just preach the word but also bring the word to light in the society. They also need a lot of patience because the church with teenagers today, if nurtured and kept together, the same teenagers will become adults one day and move the church to the next level. It’s all about believing and trusting that what God has begun through them, He will surely also bring to pass. Miles: Thank you so much Bishop, we want you to know that the Miles magazine appreciates you very much for making out time to share your vision with us.

DIVINE TRANSFORMATION 14

From booze, gambling and girls to a total devotion to Jesus Christ

THE MANY PACQUIAO STORY Born Emmanuel Dapidran ‘Manny’ Pacquiao is perhaps the greatest boxer to have ever come out of the Asian continent. He is a Filipino world champion professional boxer with a net worth of almost of over $250 million. At the age of 32 he was elected to the Philippine House of Representatives. But it's not his favourite topic of conversation. Pacquiao is well known for his frequent references to Jesus. At the pre-fight press conference, he told reporters: "Everything I have accomplished, God has given me this strength. I used to sleep in the street, hungry, and I cannot imagine that the Lord raised me to this level of life." Manny's rags to riches story have made the boxer a national hero in his native Philippines, and he rubs shoulders with celebs and politicians regularly. He was named 'fighter of the decade' for the noughties. But despite all this success, several years ago he found himself on his knees and begging God for forgiveness, declaring 'I am not worthy in your sight'. Crying and feeling as though he wanted to die: he said, "Lord just guide me. I am not a talented person". Though he started life as a Catholic,

attended church, and referred to God often - it was after this dramatic encounter with God over four years ago that his life really changed. He describes his previous life as filled with "women, drinking and gambling" though he has been married for nearly 15 years. He says that he thinks he was headed for Hell. But when he was converted, he described a "conviction from the Holy Spirit" and a vision from God. "I heard the voice of God and I saw two angels," he said of his conversion experience. "When I heard the voice of God I felt like I died. ... I was in the middle of the forest and I was kneeling and praying with my face on the ground and then I saw a light, a very white light and I heard the voice." Now he preaches regularly on the importance of being born again and believing and obeying Christ for salvation. He talks of God whenever he has a public platform. On Twitter and Facebook, he frequently thanks God and quotes Bible verses. At the National Prayer breakfast in Washington in February this year, he spoke to Fox News about his faith. "I hate to do [drinking, women and gambling] any more, my heart is to read the Bible, to obey God, that is my heart," he said. "That is how God changed my life.

15

"When you have Jesus in your life, when you have God in your life, the things in this world are not important to your heart. The most important is God in your heart. When asked if he saw a conflict between boxing and his faith, he said: "God has a purpose, he bought me back in his kingdom to use me to glorify his name, to let the people know that there is God, who can raise people from nothing into something".

FINANCIAL COLUMN

CONVERTING YOUR DESIRES FOR RICHES INTO ITS FINANCIAL EQUIVALENT ‘Practical dreamers DO NOT QUIT’ In life everything is very possible as long as one desires it enough; I had to break from the supposed article in the financial column to address this very important topic with you. You can turn your desires into its financial equivalent but to do that, you must apply some standard principles and those are what I want to teach you: 1. Fix Your Mind On the Exact Amount Of Money You Desire – The first step in the pursuit of success and financial breakthrough in life is determining what amount exactly you desire and then backing it up with a very strong commitment to achieving it. Always remember that everyone

can desire and dream but very few are always able to bring to realization their desire. 2. Determine Exactly What You Intend To Give In Return For The Success You Desire – There is no such thing as something for nothing! You must be willing to pay the price required for the price you desire. “For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish itlest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,” Luke 14:28 - 29 (NKJV) 3. Establish A Date When You Intend To

17

Possess The Money – There must be a time frame for you to obtain your intended financial success, always remember that all desires and visions are time sensitive. “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV) After you have paid the price then sit back and know that God will surely honor you with the right answer. 4. Create A Definite Plan For Carrying Out Your Desire And Begin At Once – It does not matter whether you are ready or not to put this into action, always have it in the back of your mind that no time is the right

or wrong time.

‘Even a broken clock is right twice every day.’ 5. Finally Write Out A Clear, Concise Statement Of The Amount Of Money You Intend To Acquire – A vision must be written because the key to success is goal-setting. A vision in your mind is not really a goal but nothing more than just a dream. “Then the Lord answered me and said: "Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.” Habakkuk 2:2 (NKJV) God wrote His vision down for us in the form of the Bible. He does not only rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us rather He puts his direction on paper. The key is making it plain so that the vision is clear and he may run that reads it, endeavoring to be bold and precise enough to name the time limit for its acquisition, stating what you intend to give in return for the money, and describing clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.

Thomas Edison dreamed of a lamp that could be operated by electricity, began where he stood to put his dream into action, and despite more than ten thousand failures, he stood by that dream until he made it a physical reality. Also know that if you do not see your great riches in your imagination, you will never see them in your bank balance!!! Every great leader from the dawn of civilization to the present was a great dreamer. Joseph dreamt from obscurity to superiority. Ford dreamt of a horseless carriage,

went to work with what tools he possessed without waiting for opportunity to favor him and now evidence of his dream belts the entire earth. He has put more wheels in operation than any man who ever lived because he was not afraid to back away from his dreams!!!

Beyond The Pulpit- Be Inspired To Do Kevin Mullins

People ask me all the time… What is it going to take to become successful? OR What is it going to take to reach a certain income or success level? The bottom line is that it’s different for everybody. Building a successful business or life is not the same for everybody. No matter the strategy or plan of action, none of it will matter unless you're committed to relentless pursuit. Here is what it is going to take; "WHATEVER IT TAKES!" Your attitude has to be “I’m going to do whatever it takes” for "as long as it takes." Many enter their journey already defeated by saying I’m going to make this work "if" I can do it a few hours a week or I’m going to make this happen big time if I can get help from this person or that person. Your goals have no chance of materializing until you approach them with an “I’m going to do whatever it takes,” attitude! Now I'm not talking about doing stuff unethically to get what you want. I'm talking about having that unusual determination to get things regardless of the circumstances. Would you do WHATEVER IT TAKES such as: Sell stuff to keep your dream afloat Lose a lot of sleep doing things few would ever do Risk losing some shallow friends who will be offended by your ambition You must be FULLY COMMITTED to being successful. People that are successful are "COMMITTED" to success. People that struggle and get no results only WANT success. There’s a HUGE difference. When someone is committed to success, they’ll do "whatever it takes."

Book Review

Abandon Yourself to Destiny

This is the fourth book by Bishop Don Ifepe, an accomplished author, preacher, international conference speaker and the publisher of Canada’s No. 1 Christian and Inspirational magazine (Miles Magazine). “Abandon Yourself To Destiny” is about the life experiences Bishop Don went through and how God, in his infinite mercy and power, brought him through all those trials.

In this book, you will see how the power of the Lord brings everyone that truly trust in Him to a place of fulfillment. There is something that you have begun in this life which only you can accomplish on this earth. You are truly the head of your destiny and no matter how much the devil will challenge your destiny, as long as you believe and follow the direction of the Spirit, you must arrive at your destination designed for you by destiny. In this book you will learn what is destiny, the power behind it and the principles that guide the wind of life. Extract from Bishop Don’s Latest Book – ‘Abandon Yourself To Destiny’

Except a seed dies it cannot reproduce “For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives.” Hebrews 9:16 & 17 (NKJV) As our model for this study, let us follow this principle or process of reproduction in the life of plants. When a farmer harvests his crops, he must, as a principle of harvest and reproduction, keep a portion as seed for planting in the next season. Now this seed as it were, must be buried into the ground for it to die, decay, and then begin to live again. When you are born by your parents they take care of you until the appropriate age when you become an adult. It is at that point, that you assume a life of your own based on the choices you decide to make. A person is not an adult simply by age, for that is a chance that everyone is often privileged to have but you are truly an adult by the choices you decide to make. At the point of becoming an adult by choice, you are aware of your destiny in life. You now can see and you now know God’s divine will for your life. You then decide to die in order to establish that which you have seen and

believe in as your divine purpose in life. But, there comes the biggest test of your life, you will then notice that along the path to fulfilling that divine purpose lies a lot of obstacles that you must confront and rise above. If you cannot rise above them then you are not yet ready to become who God say’s you are. ‘Only True Happiness Comes From Squandering Ourselves For A Purpose. Whatever Your Plan Is Just Know That Nothing Else Will Satisfy You’ My Ordeal, My Story… Whenever I look back on my journey in Canada, I smile, while tears simply run down my cheek. I cannot really say what tears they are but I am very sure that they are not tears of pain and sadness. I came to Canada in late 1997. I answered the call of God right before coming into this country so I was already a determined believer before I stepped my foot on the soils of Canada. It was not long before I started my own ministry after graduating from the Rhema Bible Institute and serving in two other ministries as an associate pastor. I knew early enough that my purpose in this life was to preach the gospel through every

means available, so I started the ministry known as Believers Full Gospel Vineyard, The Miles Magazine, and The Hour of Divine Wisdom Telecast on Vision T.V and C.T.S.

that was the last I ever saw of her in this life. Many years later when I saw her very close friend, she informed me that the lady in question slumped and died suddenly one day.

All these arms of the ministry were well received I must confess or so it seemed until the third year into this great work. We were receiving cheques, cash, and other various donations from the public. It was going very well as the popularity was growing at an alarming pace. I would say tentatively that our ministry and I were one of the first, if not the very first Nigerian-Canadian indigenous ministries to be on such great platform, and with this of course came the attacks from all over the place. I remember coming to church, only to be confronted by this lady who demanded that since I was not going to follow her instructions in the direction the ministry should go that she wants me to return all her tithes and offerings to her. I first refused and got the police to take her away from the door of the church but later the LORD asked that I return it to her as her giving was also rejected by the heavens. I did as the LORD commanded, and

I remember on another occasion when I arrived at the church for the New Year Eve’s service, the doors could not open; indeed our keys could not enter the lock because it was blocked. We called the lock smiths and no one was available because it was the last night of the year. So we had to go to a member’s house in the basement to hold our service. A few days later when the door was finally removed, they brought out about six nails that were used to block the lock so that it would not open for us. On another occasion, while returning from a missionary trip that took me from Canada through South Africa, Nigeria and back to Canada, I had an encounter at the Pearson Airport. I was confronted by an immigration officer who for some reason was upset that I had a good life (in his opinion) of travelling around the world, all in the name of speaking at conventions. There was another day that I woke up and was on my way to the studio to record our

program for airing on television. I suddenly blacked out and could not see a thing! Thank God I was with my wife who grabbed the steering and helped me to steer the car to a safe place. It continued for almost the whole day, the doctors could not find out why that incident happened to date. Should I talk about the jealousy, back-biting, name scandalizing and other means employed by some colleagues in the ministry? I can tell you that it is not my thing to gossip about any man or woman of God. I rather use my time to find out what is wrong and see how I can help them because I know my calling is to build a bridge across ministries, countries, companies and networks worldwide. However, that is not the case for so many who do not know their purpose in life and often feel that the downfall of one is an opportunity for them to rise up. THEN CAME THE BIGGEST OF THEM ALL… To get the full gist, join me at the book launch or call 416.576.3775 to grab your own copy of “Abandon Yourself To Destiny”

Perspective of Faith

Breakthroughs and Fortune Favor The Brave Definitions: Breakthrough is an event that causes or marks the breaking down of a barrier to progress. While Fortune is a chance or the personification of chance regarded as affecting human activities (One’s personal Destiny) 1. When Things Get Tough, the Tough Gets Going 2 Kings 7:3-8 “Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, "Why are we sitting here until we die? 4 If we say, We will enter the city, the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die." 5 And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there. 6 For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses-the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, "Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!" 7 Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact-their tents, their horses, and their donkeys-and they fled for their lives. 8 And when these lepers came to the outskirts of the camp, they went into one tent and ate and drank, and carried from it silver and gold and clothing, and

23

went and hid them; then they came back and entered another tent, and carried some from there also, and went and hid it.” (NKJV) In life there are always chances for all. Everyone is given the same chances to make it but the irony is that not all will begin from the same spot and time. What do I really mean by that? Some will be born into a home that already is very rich and so the opportunities will already be there. Some will be born at a time of war and so all things are not there and either they have to wait or they have to struggle harder to find a way through. Some are born into very poor and disadvantaged home where they have to struggle through what seems like much more troubles and negativities to make it in life. No matter the starting point of our life in which we find ourselves, we are still in the same range of victory as any other person in life no matter their own starting point. I want to look at one of my very favorite messages over the years, hopefully one that would one day turn to a book. I have a scripture that is an introduction to this already! It’s about four Lepers who happened to start life at the very end of the tunnel. They are diseased, broke and rejected during a time of total famine in the land of Israel because their enemies have decided to besiege them - none went in or out of the city. In addition to that, these four men were cast out of the city. According to the tradition, when a person is leprous, they must be quarantined outside of the city. So there they were, in their darkest moment but ironically they found themselves more advantaged than the socalled clean ones who were now eating their own children because of hunger and famine in the land. The Lepers decided to take a risk with their life. They considered which way gave them any chance of survival in an already very bad state of things. In their thoughts, the only way forward was forward. They took a bold chance by deciding to continue forward into the camp of their enemies while the rest of Israel chose to die, eating the flesh of their own children. Fortune and breakthroughs only favor the brave at heart. I do not know what or where you may find yourself today but

remember that you can arise from that situation, take a leap of faith today and tell yourself “I can at least try and take my chances”. Always remember that there is no harm in trying! God is fully in control and He honors those who will trust in His word and act upon it.

2. It’s Your Decision To Believe & Then Act On God’s Promises 2 Kings 7:1-2 “Then Elisha said,

"Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria. " 2 So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, "Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?" And he said, "In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it." (NKJV) I take you back to the word of God that came before the Lepers decided to take their chances. Note that the scriptures did not link their action to this prophesy from the man of God who declared that God will surely intervene on that particular day, salvation will come to all because the famine will end miraculously and food will be in abundance. Many doubted while a few believed and these Lepers where one of the very few that decided to act on the word of God. The word of the Lord is coming to you right now as you read this article. This is your season for super-natural open doors in high, mighty and influential places but you must rise to the occasion. You must act out of your nature and damn the consequences while taking your chance in life. When the atmosphere is right in the spirit realm and the word is released from God then be brave and act. Your family and generation both born and unborn are waiting for you to arise and shine for your light (which is the word of God) has risen. 3. The Destiny of the Fearful 2 Kings 7:17-20 “Now the king had appointed the officer on whose hand he leaned to have charge of the gate. But the

24

people trampled him in the gate, and he died, just as the man of God had said, who spoke when the king came down to him. 18 So it happened just as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, "Two seahs of barley for a shekel, and a seah of fine flour for a shekel, shall be sold tomorrow about this time in the gate of Samaria." 19 Then that officer had answered the man of God, and said, "Now look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could such a thing be?" And he had said, "In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it." 20 And so it happened to him, for the people trampled him in the gate, and he died.” (NKJV) You see, there are always two sides to every coin on earth. On the one hand are the Lepers who believed and acted. They saw victory, wealth, and deliverance for the whole nation of Israel, but on the other hand was a particular aid to the King who stood and mocked the word of God spoken through the man of God. You cannot do that and expect any miracle or breakthrough to happen in your life forever. We all can see that even though the word of God came to pass and the nation received their deliverance, the King’s aid died. He allowed his unbelief to suffocated the word of God. You are now positioned in divine place of honor and glory, use it well or lose it. 4. Some Examples: A. Jephtah – Judges 11:1 B. David before Goliath – 1 Samuel 17:1011, 32-37 C. POSSESSING THE PROMISES

Believers have been promised spiritual power, but there are two parts to every promise of God: The promise: The content, the actual words and meaning of the promise. The possession of that promise: You cannot use that which you do not possess. You must claim the promises of God in order for them to become a reality in your life. How do you claim the promises of God? Here are the steps: 1. YOU MUST CHOOSE TO DO SO You have the power to accept the promise of God, reject it, or ignore it. Many people have rejected the promise of spiritual power. They believe it was only for the early Church. Others have ignored it. They read the promises in the Bible, but do not act upon them. These people do not have the demonstration of God's power in their lives because they have exercised their own power of choice and failed to claim the promise. Whenever there is a promise in God's Word that is not fulfilled in your life it does not mean it is not true or not for you. Do not interpret the Bible on the basis of your own experience. Just because you have not experienced a promise of God does not mean it is not a true and valid promise. The promise of power is a gift from God, but you must choose to accept that gift. 2. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THE PRINCIPLES To possess any biblical promise, you must understand the principles upon which it is based. Promises of God are always based on certain principles which always involve a response from man. For example, many promises of God are

based on the "if/then" principle. God says “If you will do this certain thing, then you will receive the promise." (See Deuteronomy 28 for an example of this principle). To experience the promise of spiritual power, you must understand the biblical principles of power. In the natural world, it is similar to reading the instructions that come with a product to learn how to operate it properly or like using a recipe to learn how to prepare a certain food. 3. YOU MUST APPLY THE PRINCIPLES Someone can give you a lovely gift in the natural world. You can choose to accept it. It comes with instructions. You can read the instructions and understand them thoroughly, but unless you use the instructions to operate the gift, the product is still useless to you. Mere understanding of biblical power principles taught in the previous issue is not enough. You must apply these principles to your own life and ministry.

BEYOND BLESSING TO POWER Many believers do not experience power because they never get beyond the point of spiritual blessing. The Holy Spirit begins to move upon them and they feel great joy. They may express it in singing, shouting, dancing, or crying. They are blessed by God and respond emotionally. There is nothing wrong with this. The Bible is filled with such spiritual experiences. God wants to move His people beyond the point of blessing into the realm of spiritual power; beyond emotion to demonstration. There is a story in the Old Testament which illustrates this truth. It also illustrates the link between a promise and possessing that promise. The nation of Israel

25

traveled for many months from Egypt through the desert to the land God promised them. When they reached the edge of this Promised Land, Moses sent in spies to check out the land. Ten of the spies brought back a negative report. They said there were giants in the land and there was no way Israel could go in to possess the land. Only two spies urged the people to enter the land and possess it as God had promised. Israel chose to listen to the negative report. As a result, although it was only an eleven day journey from where they were camped to the Promised Land, it took Israel forty years to make the journey (Deuteronomy 1:2). God brought Israel to the point of blessing. They were at the edge of the Promised Land. God's power was available to conquer the enemy but Israel refused to move forward in God's power. There was nothing wrong with the promise. The problem was Israel's refusal to possess it. You must not stop when you get to a point of blessing in your life. You must break through into the spiritual realm of power. If you do not do so, you will continue to wander in a spiritual wilderness of dry, powerless existence. You must move beyond the point of blessing into the realm of power. You must become a demonstrator instead of a spectator; a doer instead of only a hearer. When you do so, you will experience the true flow of God's power. You will experience a life force and an anointing within you which you have never known before. You will experience life after religion. Join me in the next issue to learn more about the power principles‌

People in Politics and Power

ONE ON ONE WITH

HON. CHIEF DR. PETE C. IBIDA

(Ide-Onyeonadilinma of Nimo) KSJI

The Advocate & Facilitator Of Quality Governance Politics has to do with power and we know that power can easily be abused if not well managed. We at Miles magazine try to seek out those individuals who are in power and making a positive impact at all levels of government and countries of the world. Miles magazine was recently in Nigeria and were privileged to meet up with an honorable member of the Anambra State House of Assembly representing Njikoka 2 zone. This person is also the chairman of the House Committee on Trade, Commerce and Industry. He is none other than the amiable soft spoken gentleman, Chief Dr. Pete Chima Ibida. This is my interview with him. Miles: Sir, may we know what drove you into being the people’s representative? PI: Yes, what drove me is the passion I have for quality representation and advocacy, also being a practical manager I like to demonstrate it so seeing that a lot of the politicians of today are more interested in their selfish ends, I became uncomfortable

so I came to help correct the wrongs as well as to help strengthen the democratic process in my state. Miles: Sir, I have been around in Anambra state house and everybody when you are mentioned talks about your boldness and stand for equality, justice and quality governance, so I ask, what helped form this in your life? PI: My motor is advocate and facilitator of quality governance because if you want good life, you must provide the people with their own share of good life, also bear in mind that I have been well grounded and tutored in the area of management while I was in the insurance industry. I received three levels of promotion because of my effectiveness in the area of management. I moved from the ranks of a staff to personal manger and on immediately to becoming the company secretary as well as personnel manager. Of course there were a lot of executive politics and blackmail trying to run me down. They wanted me to bend and fall into selling company certificates for the purpose of making

26

money which of course I vehemently refused. Some wanted the company policies to be thwarted for the purpose of making quick money. As a result, some people saw me as being too conservative which I am not. What drove me into politics is my passion for good and quality governance, I have a passion for doing things right, and that is why today in the house of Assembly. I am a vanguard for good governance. Miles: What is your message to the world and especially the political class? PI: My simple message is that we in politics and power should avoid any form of hypocrisy, mendacity and corruption. That makes you a true and real leader. You cannot be known as a two-tongued leader. Avoid lies because when we lie, we hurt the system. Miles: What is your vision and where are you taking your constituency to? PI: I am taking them to the gains of democracy; the democratic dividends which must get to the people because the

tree that the people planted must yield not just fruits but very good fruits. The destination is for my people to have fulfilment, sense of belonging and be recognized in terms of employment, education (which I presently have a scholarship scheme), infrastructure and above all quality living. I believe that if we put the right indices in place then these dreams can be actualized. Miles: How did you overcome the obstacles of life? PI: I have a very stable woman, Lady Nneka Ibida who is a chartered accountant and rose to the position of a bank manager before I asked her to resign. Her parents are very seasoned civil servants. Her dad was the National Secretary of the National Population Commission and he did the job with much humility and dignity. Her mother retired as the Deputy Director of the Federal Ministry of Finance and she overwhelmed people with her professionalism and integrity in the work place. Today, their first daughter is my wife. She imbibed this same ethics into our home so she would not tolerate me being a corrupt, hypocrite of a politician because she was never brought up that way. She is a big part of my strength in the workplace because she contributes in one way or the other to my job. So in summary my family is the first church and my house is like heaven to me. That is my strength and secret to success. Miles: How would you describe yourself? PI: I am a very confident man, predicated on my fear of God and I have a passion for a better tomorrow. I love to see people smiling. I love to see a working system and I cannot associate with a docile system; it makes me sick.

I do not want anything that would stop me from getting to heaven because I rather die now than become an enemy of God.

From The Pulpit of Believers Full Gospel Vineyard

The Triple ‘G’ Formula

God Gave To Gain "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17 (NKJV) The first thing to learn about God is that He always leads His children by example. It is very ironic to note this truth and bring to light this revelation. It is very important to have a proper understanding of the mysteries of the God-Head. Do you know that God was in this same situation as many Christians are today? At the beginning, from the first chapter in the book of Genesis, God created the world and its inhabitants including man who is his most prized asset because He invested His word and His breath in man. His image was man and His authority on earth was placed in man. Man was given the power to dominate and replenish the earth. Disaster struck in chapters two and three. Satan showed up and man fell from grace to grass by the reason of treason. Now I know that it has been a topic for hot discussion especially in the secular world. People often suggest that Adam and Eve did something worst than just eat a common fruit. I hate to burst your bubble but it was a fruit that they truly ate, however, it is not the fruit in itself that caused their problem but the significance and principle behind their action (but I would get back to this in a later chapter, I promise). Now after Adam and Eve had eaten the forbidden fruit, they died spiritually (Separated from God). When you disobey any covenant requirement of God, you are separated from a true fellowship divine with the Trinity, but your relationship as a child of God remains. That was why even though Adam and Eve were chased out of the Garden of Eden, God still provided them with clothing.

The main eternal consequence of the action of Adam and Eve was that man lost his right to be the authority on earth because he lost his fellowship with God. Man could no longer claim to have any right to approach the King of Kings. There was a break in communication or there was now a gap which became a 'Missing Link' between the Creator and the created. God had to do something and fast so He acted upon the power of the word and made a decree in Genesis 3:15 "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.” (NKJV) This was the only way back; the heavens could not stand by and watch Satan ruin the whole work that God had taken his precious time to put together but there was a problem still, a sacrifice had to be made. This seed of a woman that would bruise the head of the serpent was not going to be any seed or else the whole spiritual exercise will not be worth it. It had to be 'The Sinless-Seed' pure and holy, not from a lineage of men who are conceived and born in sin as written in Psalm 51. This was going to be none other than the Son of God Himself but could God afford to make that ultimate sacrifice for humanity? The answer lies in the depth of His love for mankind. If He loves humanity enough then He would pay the price to gain humanity back!!! The rest as they say is now history. You ought to know the rest of the story being that God gave up his only begotten Son as a lamb for a sacrifice that all mankind can be set free again. The sacrifice was perfect, the price was paid in full and the promise

37

of liberty to all mankind was achieved. Yet, there remains another very critical part to the whole equation; 'Choice'. Everyone is given the right to accept this great gift of a new lease to life by accepting that Jesus Christ had done all that is needed and therefore we should not live under the bondage of Satan anymore. You live under the bondage of Satan when you keep manifesting the works of evil. That is why a believer should never make the excuse that he/she cannot help but remain a sinner, for to say that is to deny the finished work of God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son on the cross of Calvary. The Lord in the bible continues to mention that we must pursue holiness as He is holy. We can attain perfection although it requires a lot of hard work on our part if we try to do it alone. If we willingly employ the help of the Holy Spirit, the helper, then we will achieve perfection with relative ease.

“For God so loved the world that He Gave His Only Begotten Son” There is a second part to this statement of intent but I would leave it for a later chapter, for now let us continue to look at God in action. He wants us back so He makes a sacrifice as a ransom to break the barrier or to bridge the missing-link. He is the Almighty God and yet He obeys the law of sowing in tears to reap in joy; why? He could have simply commanded legions of angels and they would come down and overtake the earth, bringing victory and deliverance to mankind, but no, that would

be against God's principles. He would be going against the one thing that He respects, His own word. It would mean the neutralization of the word of God which is also 'The Sword of the Spirit'. God cannot afford to do that. The power of sacrifice as exemplified by the Calvary experience of Jesus Christ is of great significance if one is to breakthrough in life. If God Almighty could bridge the gap of loss by making a sacrifice then perhaps we as mere mortals should start thinking seriously about doing the same. God gave or sacrificed to gain us and it is then meet that we must also live a life of sacrifice to maintain a relationship and fellowship with this God of sacrifice. No wonder when Abraham was experiencing barrenness in his marriage, God instructed him to make a sacrifice of his only begotten son whom he loved dearly. As soon as he obeyed, a voice came forth saying "Now I Know", the connection is in

the fact that he was willing to make the sacrifice. If we truly believe in God, we must be willing to do as He did to gain what He gained. You want the riches of this world then you must be ready to pay your dues by proving that you are worth it. Genesis 8:22 states “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease. (NKJV) The formula of sowing and reaping is the evidence of a covenant relationship between God and man. When you see a man or woman complaining about giving to God then you immediately know that they do not have a covenant relationship with God. They lack a fellowship with God Almighty. The act of return and investment in the kingdom of God is only known to those who have a healthy relationship in fellowship with the heavens. Always remember that God gave his only begotten Son so He could gain the whole world and

38

by so doing, He has set a standard and a perimeter by which the faithfulness of all true covenant-keepers are measured. I have been in the ministry for a while now and must confess that I have observed that sowing in form of tithes, offerings and other charitable works has been the bedrock of the few elite that have been privileged to prosper divinely. God surely does reward those who sow sacrificially into His kingdom because they acknowledge Him as their God through their act of giving. I end by reminding you once again that the reason God gave his only begotten son is to have a divine connection with man who lost that link in the Garden of Eden. I believe that Jesus Christ is Eden in substance and as such, for anyone to establish that divine connection to open heavens, they must definitely do that which God did to establish the link to ownership.

Leadership Column

The Super‑ Ability To Bring Divine Transformation Leadership is inherent in the nature of humans. Sometimes we find rare individuals that are simply born to be leaders and they just flourish in that arena. In most cases, individuals find themselves in a circumstance that requires them to become leaders automatically and in that case, some simply again find a way to pull it from within. Others invest in studying, either through formal training or an apprentice to a leader that could inculcate this into them. The way that I reckon it, all these various channels can and do really produce a true leader at the end of the day. I believe that true heroes are made and not born no matter what qualities and super-abilities that you are endowed with, you must need to accept it, exhibit it and nurture it to greatness before you can ever be great in truth. What I want to concentrate on in this article is not on how a leader is made but I want to look at one of the most distinct quality that makes one a great leader. I believe that anyone can claim to be a leader but how many are truely great leaders?

molded Joshua into becoming a great leader and Elijah delivered sound tutelage to Elisha that transformed him into a greater prophet. Let’s come down to our world of today. In my opinion, Nelson Mandela did what no other African President has and will ever do; step down and turn down the opportunity to rule South Africa for a second term even when we knew that he would returned unopposed. I am a Christian and one that has followers so I am careful not to bring them to a state of hopeless and confusion by my actions in life. It is no longer about how I feel or what I go through personally but I now make decisions based on the fact that many have put their eyes and in some cases, their hope on me. When I fail or seem down, obviously they go down in spirit as well so I must be upbeat irrespective of what I am personally going through.

A True Leader Is One Who Truly Brings Divine Transformation To His Followers!!!

The Secret is simply in your ability to make your followers to see the overall picture as well as where their personal life picture is going. Once they see that, then you must get them to begin to confess that over and over until they believe it and then others around them will equally begin to believe it.

I remember back in school, the school authority looks at the track records of the students and from there a short list is developed. The ability to be great is founded on your ability to make others great as well. I believe that Moses in his days

All Conditions Are Reversible when a person begins to confess the destination rather than the situation, they are poised for divine change in their life. I believe that Obama was in a situation where it has never been done or thought of that a

39

black man will rule America but as a great leader he managed to take his followers from the situation on ground to the destination ahead. That, in my opinion is what great leaders do. They bring the impossible to you and show you the road map to getting there. They Diligently Train Their Followers To Perfection – The hallmark of great leaders is that they concentrate on the training and impartation of their followers to a level where they are totally aligned in vision and spirit. I believe that this principle is the real key behind the successful spreading and popularity of the Christian faith on earth. Jesus Christ spent just three years in active ministry on earth but I can tell you that 95% of his ministry time was spent on training, development and forming an ideology in the minds of his disciples. The true followers of any leader are often more loyal to him than even his own family can ever be. Ever been in a position where there seems to be conflict between your immediate family and your faithful followers? Well that is simply because you have your family by chance (Nature gave them to you and you had no choice), but your disciples made a calculated choice to follow you. You are a leader because you have definitely touched somebody’s life somewhere and in due course they are transformed so much that you can sit back and watch the seed you planted begin to bear numerous fruits. That is what a true leader is truly made of. l

BE INSPIRED

Garden of the Mind “THE PRINCIPLE OF AUTO-SUGGESTION”

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he."Eat and drink!" he says to you, But his heart is not with you.” Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV) “Nature has built man so that he has ABSOLUTE CONTROL over the material which reaches his subconscious mind, through his five senses”. You are the captain of your own destiny, the one that would personally decide where and what you want your life to be. I want you to guide your garden very well with passion, strong positive emotions and believe that all things are and will only take a matter of time to come to full manifestation. The principle of auto-suggestion is simply the principle of positive confession. You see, our mind only feeds on that which we plant in. This happens through the form of words that go on to form seeds in our mind where they are planted. In due season, we reap the fruit of whatever it bears or produces. So go on, plant good seeds into your mind by speaking life and positive thoughts upon yourself. Do not keep waiting for someone to prophesy to you, rather begin now to prophesy upon your own life! Sooner than later, I guarantee you that you will see the fruit of your confession or auto-suggestion.

I always tell myself that something must happen for something to happen and my life will then be catapulted to the top. Every day I see this coming to pass and I can testify that my God is a very big God, who is always by my side. Speak it and it will come to pass in your life because God is able and abundantly able to make all things work for good.

3. Your subconscious mind will act ONLY upon instructions which are emotionalized and handed over to that desire with feeling.

Tips For Planting Good Seed In Your Garden

4. Skepticism, in connection with ALL new ideas, is the characteristic of all human beings: If you follow the instructions outlined here, your skepticism will soon be replaced by belief. This, in turn, will soon become crystallized into ABSOLUTE FAITH, then you would have arrived at the point where you may truly say "I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul!”

1. A real opportunity will not offer SOMETHING FOR NOTHING: The ability to reach and influence your subconscious mind has its price and you MUST PAY THAT PRICE. You cannot cheat, even if you desire to do so. The price for the ability to influence your subconscious mind is everlasting PERSISTENCE. 2. Your ability to use the principle of auto-suggestion will depend on you: It is based very largely upon your capacity to CONCENTRATE upon a given DESIRE until that desire becomes a BURNING OBSESSION.

40

FAITH is the strongest, and the most productive of the emotions.”

5. Man can become the master of himself and of his environment because he has the POWER TO INFLUENCE HIS OWN SUBCONSCIOUS MIND. Through it, man gains the cooperation of Infinite Intelligence.

Consider This

The Mouth of The Righteous Utters Wisdom… A very good friend of mine once said and I quote “Life is fair because it is unfair to everyone” and this is so true of the life we all find ourselves. In my short journey so far in life, I can tell you that the rich and poor cry alike, the White, the Black, the Asian, everyone cries at some point in their life. Why am I bringing this up? It’s because often we err in our thoughts which is echoed in the very words that we say to people or into our own lives. The righteous know this and they are very careful and calculative when they speak especially in times of severe trauma in their live.

much people with no money to train their children but ended up having an excess of them? These are the mysteries and wisdoms of life. As a Christian, we must learn to speak in wisdom, truth and knowledge because God is the one that sees and knows it all.

I must quote one thing that my dad told me before I left the shores of Nigeria very long time ago. He said “Son, do not be too afraid of the four walls of a prison cell because most times, everyone at one point or the other, whether guilty or not guilty, will pass through that phase of life.” It baffled me to the very cores of my bone! How can this be, especially coming from a man I have so much regard and respect for because of the very high standard of life he lived? Alas, he is so true and over the years I find wisdom in the fact that life is fair because it remains unfair to everyone. Do you know that there are many people with all the money in the world but cannot have a child of their own and there is just as

I am approaching this topic from this angle just to encourage and warn Christians that our situation does not warrant us to bring down one another or our God and His sovereignty. We must, in all spheres of life, speak wisdom and justice because our God has set laws and principles which can never be changed or bent by the world and its wickedness. We must not be seen to use our pulpits as a gaming center where innocent victims are attacked with fear and intimidation while exploiting the very fabrics of their hearts and emotions.

“The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, And his tongue talks of justice. The law of his God is in his heart; None of his steps shall slide.” Psalm 37:30-31 (NKJV)

People of God, we are in the 21st century and as such, we must move with the

42

times. In the sense of education, our people focus on the intricacies of life but we cannot deviate or water down the old time religion of salvation, holiness, peace and above all contentment in the Lord. Your mouth must speak the wisdom of God at all times; you must watch how you speak, where you speak and who you speak to because some people will never hear you. No, they are just not programmed to hear you speak. Funny enough, I went to see this man that used to be an official in one of the state governments. Can you believe that he spent about four (4) good and wasted hours blowing his own trumpet? It was so torturing for me and I’m sure one or two others. He just got lost in foolish talk about himself and how great he thinks he is in the world. We must be wise and speak with wisdom. The less you talk, the more effective you are. Take it from me. I leave you with this, you must hear twice and speak once. Anyone that rushes to answer eventually regrets their haste because they were quick to comment. Be wise and speak with wisdom…

The Shepherds Heart

Purpose Demands Motivation According to Webster’s Dictionary, motivation means: (1) to impel, inspire, stimulate, propel, spur, move, arouse, instigate, fire up, trigger, drive, and provoke into action. Have you ever seen someone attempting to drive a car in which there is no fuel? Have you ever seen a mother trying to cook her meal with a stove in which there is no gas? Have you ever seen a farmer trying to grow crops in his farm without seeds in his hands? So is everyone who attempts goals without motivation within his heart or mind. Most people are simply observing life today because they lack the motivation for living. Many talk about the achievements of their colleagues when they themselves have nothing to show because of lack of motivation. Some have made cemetery of their potentials, skill and opportunities because they lack motivation. Countless number of precious people are surrounded by opportunities but they sit back wasting away by the day, all because they lack motivation within. May I remind you again that if wishes were horses, beggars would ride, they say? Motivation is a propelling force; it compels achievers to attain their aspirations and goals. Never say “what can I do?” Say “I can do something” because the law of life says: if you don’t try it, you won’t do it. If you know your purpose, if you see your goal, if you believe in God and in His hand upon you, if you trust the efficacy of the

word and His promises over your life, no matter how big the odds against you may seem, no matter the dark clouds you may behold above your head, your purpose of existence will always give you hope and motivation to carry on while others are quitting, surrendering and discontinuing. Those who know me have heard me say time after time about what God told me in my hour of Separation in Prayer. Let me share it with you. God said to me, “Son, if you can continue to continue, you will contact what you are trusting me for.” So many great dreams that started out very well were abandoned and consequently aborted because of the lack of motivation. Several individuals dropped out of universities after series of low academic performances because they lacked motivation. Some precious young people live as puppets today because they have no drive for honor. Do you know that there are people who are just roaming about today with no real purpose? You do not need a prophet to tell you who a purposeless individual is. When you see someone who is always glued to his bed from 9 p.m. to 11 a.m. you have seen one. Maybe you know someone who is not bothered about anything, can’t change his clothes and can’t change his shoes. Can’t even buy food without depending on relatives, brothers and sisters, and yet is happy, quoting scripture like

46

Apostle Moses N. Grandeur

Philippians 4:6, which says, “Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God.” (KJV) That’s the true picture of the man without motivation. I can tell by the movement and step of men and women who have purpose. I can tell by just sitting around them. I can tell by the company they keep. I can tell by the zeal I see within them. I can tell when they pray and praise God in church. There is something about them, which is common to all purpose driven human beings; their motivation. You will hardly see them discouraged about life. They are hardly beaten down, complaining, depressed or dejected. You can see such men and women relegated to the background by situations, conditions and circumstances of life. For the motivated, better is not good enough, failure is a better opportunity to start again in a better form. For them, oppositions are divine mechanisms put in place to move them into their place of destiny. The motivated don’t count on men; they count on God. The motivated don’t feed their fear; they feed their faith. The motivated don’t live in their past; they live in their future, they don’t talk of yesterday; they speak of the future. God Bless, join me in the next issue as we continue on this great discussion

Prayer for Relief from Adversaries Psalm 70 1. Make haste, O God, to deliver me! Make haste to help me, O Lord! 2. Let them be ashamed and confounded Who seek my life; Let them be turned back and confused Who desire my hurt. 3. Let them be turned back because of their shame, Who say, "Aha, aha!" 4. Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; And let those who love Your salvation say continually, "Let God be magnified!" 5. But I am poor and needy; Make haste to me, O God! Bishop Don Ifepe was with us in Awka town the capital of Anambra State, during this period I was privileged to serve him both in the ministry of Believers Full Gospel Vineyard and in the Miles magazine. He is an outstanding leader, teacher and father in the Lord; the whole team misses his fatherly advice as well as his leadership skills. I have believed God for a breakthrough in a particular area of my life, I can testify that working with Bishop for a very short period of time granted me the grace to seeing the fulfilment of my heart desires. I look forward to many more opportunities to be part of this amazing man of God’s ministry. Ugochukwu – Awka

Financial Breakthrough My family and I have been suffering from serious lack in the area of finance in our lives until a friend of ours introduced us to Bishop Don Ifepe. We met with him and he led us through some series of prayers and teachings about how and why our situation has remained the way it is. I want to testify on behalf of my family that since our divine appointment with the man of God, things has drastically improved for the better. The most amazing part of this testimony is that when we came to the man of God, he told us right away the source of our problems. It was unbelievable how he got to know the facts that he shared with us. God is indeed using His servant to do great and mighty things around the world and we are most grateful that we could meet this great servant of God. Joe & Lilian – Ottawa, Canada Pains In My Leg Gone My name is Mercy and for a very long time I have been suffering from severe pains in my left leg. One day in Port Harcourt Nigeria, a friend invited me to attend the Keys of The Kingdom Crusade hosted by Believers Full Gospel Vineyard Toronto Canada. I must confess that because it was a foreign ministry it made me to attend as I was already tired of going from one church or program to the other without results. I want thank God for my decision to attend because as the man of God, Bishop Don Ifepe was speaking he announced that he was not going to touch anybody today but that whatever we were believing God for that as he speaks the power of the Lord will hit us and bring to pass our heart desires. I quickly keyed into that and to my surprise by the time I got home, the pain disappeared and to date I am totally free from the pains. This is a mighty miracle and testimony. I want to encourage everyone that God is still in the business of healing as He demonstrated through the man of God in my life. Sister Uju - Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Bishop Don Ifepe and the Miles team were at my church in Nnewi for a powerful and impacting service. The man of God from Canada was indeed loaded with the power and anointing of the Most High God. The church continues to testify of the marvelous miracles and testimonies that abound from his visit and ministration in our church – Rhema Deliverance Mission. In addition, I was introduced to the Miles magazine and I immediately saw the vision, insight and educative outstanding qualities in this publication. I want to congratulate Bishop Don Ifepe for making himself available in the hands of God. It may look easy and simple but trust me when I say that it is hard and takes a lot of sleepless nights to birth, maintain and continue to run a huge international magazine such as this. I am Dr. Ejike Nwachukwu and I endorse the Miles magazine. Pastor Dr. Ejike Nwachukwu, – Senior Pastor Rhema Deliverance Mission Nigeria.

These are some of the testimonies that happen on a daily basis in and around the ministry of Bishop Don Ifepe. If you or your loved ones are ever in need of God’s divine intervention then do not hesitate to call us at 416.576.3775

The Last Word

A Place Inside The Dreamer I will end this issue of the Miles by talking about a special place that only dreamers have in them. This place is never visible to doubters, people that live in fear or are dominated by negativities in life. Ever wondered what made men like Martin Luther King Jr., Barak Obama, Moses, King David, Ford of Ford motors and even Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau? There must be something that makes them dare to dream when everyone saw hopelessness and impossibilities. They saw an opportunity to create and make history.

ignorant of the fact about life. I want to believe that great men always see beyond the realm of the physical into the higher platoon of glory. They also do not allow themselves to be distracted by the noise makers of this world. Making decisions that are vital to life is often very tough and carries consequences that can either make you look like a genius or condemn you to public attack, but again, great men and women are not afraid to boldly confront life with an attitude way beyond the comprehension of the simple and feeble minded.

There is a place inside every dreamer that makes them to overcome all obstacles and become who they determined to be. You cannot win without having your place of refuge inside you, beyond what the world says, the negativities around you, and beyond the fact that public opinion believes that you will not nor can ever succeed. I remember a man spoken about in the bible, this man was so much against the norm that a conspiracy was plotted against him and eventually they stoned him to death. This man was not Jesus nor was he one of the prominent bible disciples; he was simply called Deacon Stephen. The amazing thing about the life of this man is that while he was being stoned to death. The bible describes him as seeing the glory of the Lord above and subsequently praying for his killers to be forgiven because they were

A dreamer is like Joseph who dreamt he was going to be a king. He found a place inside himself to get excited in the face of the negativities around him. Now, his brothers in their narrow mindedness tried to stop this great dream but the truth remains that only the dreamer can stop his own dreams by disconnecting from the source. The source is the key to the fulfillment of any dream. You can recall most recently how a young man came out with a slogan that simply said “Yes, We Can”, he was up against the favorite, Hilary Clinton. Many said it was not going to be possible but the young man already had a place inside him where the results were already very positive. His motivation became an inspiration to the whole world that gingered the power to pull through this dream.

53

My question to you today is this, are you a true dreamer that is ever ready to build your secret place of strength by connecting to the source of your dream? You know, some people are very lucky to have spouses that can understand and support their dream but most are not and you cannot blame any spouse that does not understand. The dream is not visible to them, nor is it ever reasonable for them to declare the impossible and believe it enough to bring it to reality. You are the carrier of the dream and as such only you can birth it. My last word to you is find that place in you where you got that dream from and use it to establish the future. Every dream is for an appointed time and cannot be killed as long as the dreamer is original and well connected to the source of his/her dream. The Miles Magazine is my dream. I know that as life continues to allow me to exist, my dream is coming to pass on a daily basis. Someone very close to me went to tell another individual that I should quit this dream because it is not making enough money presently. Well, my answer was quite simple, “Let me worry about that!” I will let you worry about your dream because I know that dreams are very personal. Remain Blessed…
