Naval vessels, along with national and international tall ships, character ships and military vessels, set sail June 9 to take part in the parade of sail traveling together along the beaches of Ocean View, passing Naval Station Norfolk, up the Elizabeth River and ended at Town Point Park in downtown Norfolk as part of the

three-day Haborfest 2017. “I want to extend an especially warm welcome to all active duty and retired naval personnel and their families who have come out to enjoy the festivities on the downtown waterfront. The aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) support for Operation Inherent Resolve in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations (AOO) has been “critical” to the efforts to defeat ISIS, shipboard leaders said. “The defeat and destruction of ISIS was our primary concern and our ship-air
