POLITICAL CORRECTNESS Putting America in grave danger By Scott S. Powell American Thinker
I
f Americans were shocked by the recent terrorist massacre in Orlando committed by Omar Mateen in the name of ISIS and other Islamist jihadis, they should be even more alarmed by the Obama administration’s response, which once again sought to obfuscate the role of Islamist ideology in motivating that terrorist attack — the largest on U.S. soil since 9/11. In spite of Islamists having established an unparalleled record of terrorism — some 20,000 assaults globally in the name of Islam since 9/11 — U.S. law enforcement, intelligence and national armed forces have for many years been operating partially blindfolded with one hand tied behind their backs under the heel of the politically correct posture of protecting Islam and Muslims. The tentacles of the Muslim Brotherhood, with its myriad front groups was established in the U.S. long before 9/11. We know this from the successful trial of the Holy Land Foundation in 2008. Uncovered in the discovery treasure-trove for the HLF trial was a 1991 strategy plan of the Muslim Brotherhood to overthrow the U.S. Constitution via stealth “civilization jihad and to “destroy the Western civilization from within, the precondition to establishing a Sharia-ruled Caliphate. The extent of penetration of Muslim influence in the Bush administration can be understood by way of a cursory comparative analysis. The lexicon found in the 2004 9/11 Commission Report, which contained hundreds of instances of the use of words like “Jihad, “Muslim, and “Islam, was basically eliminated by the end of the Bush administration. In 2008 when the FBI published its unclassified Counterterrorism Lexicon, those words are entirely missing. It marked a major step in the post 9/11 world of disconnecting radical Islamist ideology from terrorism and limiting the U.S. in its investigative tools, intelligence collection, law enforcement, and war-fighting capabilities. The process of separating terrorism from its radical Islamist roots took on new momentum in the first year of the Obama administration, simultaneous with the president’s Middle East apology tour in the spring

COULD KOBE BE THE WARRIORS’ NEW SECRET WEAPON? Bring Bryant out of retirement and take on LeBron By Richard T. Matz MilitaryPress
After a disappointing loss in the NBA finals, the Golden State Warriors could look to expand their bench with a single player: Kobe Bryant. Kobe still has game, that’s a fact not fiction. In Kobe’s final game he scored 61 points. That’s more then a point and a half per minute If Kobe only played limited minutes coming off the bench he could easily score 15 points in 15 minutes. Kobe wouldn’t have to play every game, in fact he would only have to play a few games to keep himself in game-time condition. The Warriors won more games this past year than any team in the NBA and will do so again this next season. Kobe can post up any player in the league and score in the low post, or he can get the 3 ball from the perimeter. He could very easily run with Golden State’s small team consisting of Stephan Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and either Andre Iguodala or Harrison Barnes! Kobe would be an

automatic threat the minute he entered the game. He would enable Golden State’s three-point shooters to be open or he
could take the 3-point shot himself. The Warriors lost to Cleveland Cavaliers by only 3 points and Kobe could make up that difference very easily and bring the championship back to Golden State. After spending these past 20 years play-
ing for the Lakers, Kobe like all the other “retired b-ball players will get the itch to continue his remarkable career. This could cement Kobe’s legacy as the greatest basketball player ever to wear a pair of Nike’s. What do you think?

Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier will face interim Champion Jon Jones in a rematch July 9 at UFC 200.
UFC 200: A quick look at the main card By Art Garcia Jr. MilitaryPress
In the second championship fight of the evening the women’s Strawweight Championship will be on the line as Miesha Tate makes the first defense of her title when she faces Amanda Nunes. Tate (18-5-0) won the belt via a technical decision due to a rear-naked choke in the fifth round over then-champion Holly Holm in March of this year. Nunes (12-4-0) is ranked No. 4 in the UFC women’s Strawweight division. The interim UFC Featherweight Championship will be on the line as Brazilian Jose Aldo squares off against Frankie Edgar in the first championship bout of the evening. Aldo (25-2-0) is ranked No. 8 pound-for-pound in the UFC and No. 1 in the UFC Featherweight Division, Edgar (19-4-1) is ranked No. 10 pound-for-pound and No. 2 amongst the UFC Featherweights. Headlining The Ultimate Fighter Finale on Friday, July 8 is Jedrzejczyk vs Gadelha 2 for the World Strawweight Championship. The two coaches from TUF season 23 face off as UFC Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk puts her title on the line against Claudia Gadelha. Jedrzejczyk (11-0-0) ranks No. 12 in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings, Gadelha (13-1-0) ranks No. 1 in UFC women’s Strawweight division. Gadelha’s only loss was to Jedrzejczyk via split decision in December 2014. Kicking off the fight week festivities is UFC Fight Night Dos Anjos vs Alvarez on Thursday, July 7. UFC Lightweight Cham-
For MMA fans out there the upcoming holiday weekend celebrating America’s independence doesn’t end on Monday, July 4. Rather, Dana White and Co. has extended the party through the following weekend as UFC 200 offers up an unprecedented fight card featuring five championship bouts. Topping off the weekend at the new TMobile Arena in Las Vegas is UFC 200 Cormier vs Jones 2 on Saturday, July 9. Three championship bouts and a heavyweight co-main hi-light the 12-round card that many consider the best promotion the UFC has put together in it’s storied history. The event is headlined by the highly anticipated rematch between UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier vs interim Champion Jon Jones. Cormier (17-1-0) is ranked No. 10 pound-forpound, Jones (22-1-0) is the top-rated pound-for-pound fighter ranked in the UFC. Cormier’s lone defeat came via unanimous decision to the then-champion Jones in January 2015. In the co-main event former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar returns to the octagon to face Mark Hunt. This fight will be quite the challenge for the 6-3, 265-pound Lesnar in that his last UFC fight was in 2011 and he’s facing the heavy-handed Hunt after a five-year layoff. Lesnar (5-3-0) is not ranked in the UFC, Hunt (12-10-1) is ranked No. 8 among UFC heavyweights. UFC 200, continued on Page 7 'PS BEWFSUJTJOH JOGPSNBUJPO DBMM t BEWFSUJTJOH!NJMJUBSZQSFTT DPN

PERRYMAN LOOKS TO IMPROVE ON GREAT ROOKIE SEASON CHARGERS REPORT
A
by Art Garcia Jr.
fter an impressive rookie season where he finished second on the team with 73 tackles, Denzel Perryman added a muchneeded spark to the defense when he was named a starter in week six against the Packers. Entering his second season, Perryman is touted as one of the top young defenders in the NFL to keep an eye on. With the Chargers participating in their OTAs (Organized Team Activities), MP reporter Art Garcia Jr. caught up Perryman to ask him a few questions following a recent practice. Art Garcia Jr: So this is your second year practicing in the OTA’s, what is the biggest difference between your rookie year and this year? Denzel Perryman: I kind of have more of a feeling of what’s going on and I have more knowledge of the playbook. We’re getting back into football even though over the offseason there’s no chance of getting away from football. So coming back in it’s more getting into the Chargers playbook and stuff like that. Another big difference is there are a lot of new faces in

the building — I mean we’re all out there day — you can see (that) we’re really goworking just like last year. We are working ing at it. AG: As a rookie last year, how big of a and competing as a team and you can see it’s a lot more competitive out here every challenge was it to learn the playbook? DP: It wasn’t that big of a challenge, I felt the biggest challenge was getting the Chargers terminology down pat. The defense that we ran down in Miami was similar to the one we run here and things were the same only the names were different — so I sometimes confused our plays down in Miami with their plays up here. But now I have a good understanding, not saying that I’m a master of the playbook because I’m still learning every day, but I got it down now. AG: What were goals coming in as a rookie last year? DP: My goals were to get in here, get the terminology down and do what I can to become a starter. AG: You made a pretty big impact as a
rookie, how long were you here before you realized you could start for this team? DP: I would say after a couple of games. I mean in preseason you’re playing against veteran guys but you’re really not playing against veteran guys. So during the season it was against the Packers, where I had my very first start. I’m playing against Aaron Rogers and all these great Pro Bowl guys and I was like, “I can do this. AG: Describe what it was like walking into Lambau Field not only for the first time, but as a starter no less? DP: I remember it like it was just yesterday. I remember getting in there — and I usually warm up before the game — but I started talking to a former teammate at Miami. He’s a cornerback (for the Packers) and we sat there and just talked about how crazy it was to be in the NFL, how we PERRYMAN, continued on Page 10

PECHANGA: Jewel of the Temecula Valley TRAVELS WITH HIAN
by Howard Hian
My wife and I decided on a quick getaway to Temecula, California, to try out a spot getting good buzz, Pechanga Resort & Casino. After a speedy check-in, we headed to Kelsey’s, one of 11 restaurants. It’s a sleek American pub specializing in handcut, barbecued meats and craft beer. It was our first of three “wowâ€? food experiences. Let me recommend a meal: Start with the award-winning chili and an order of cornbread; next, order any dish that features the smoked tri-tip; finish with freshly made churros. Good food, good service ‌ enough said! We ended the afternoon at Spa Pechanga. In its calm atmosphere, one can unwind with a steam, lounge in the “quiet roomâ€? and then get pampered with your choice of a broad range of massages, body treatments, skin care or salon services. Evening found us at the award-winning Great Oak Steakhouse. Perfectly prepared prime Black Angus beef is king here and,
We ended the night at the Pechanga Cabaret, one of five bars/lounges, and listened to live music while enjoying a nightcap. After a good night’s sleep in our comfortable, quiet room and a quick breakfast at the Pechanga Cafe, I was off to a morning Hold ’em tournament. I was surprised to see about 100 players. Although knocked out 1.5 hours later, it was satisfying to compete. Surprising note: the casino is as big as the MGM Grand’s in Las Vegas and the largest in California! Bingo? Yes, we attended the matinee session (free popcorn and soda) and soon realized “This is not your grandmother’s game. It’s speedy and hi-tech, including the option to play multiple games with an iPad keeping score. Fox News host lists virtues that made U.S. great By Elise Cooper MilitaryPress
player to being drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates, then success as a New York Mercantile Exchange trader, and now his daily role on Fox News Channel. The book begins with a dedication to President Obama, “If it weren’t for your announced goal of ‘fundamentally transforming the United States of America,’ I wouldn’t have been to exceedingly motivated to write this book to stop you and your liberal pals from achieving that goal. America will survive your agenda.â€? One group that exemplifies these virtues is the U.S. military. In the “Gritâ€? chapter he wrote, “There are a few major exceptions to today’s ‘softness indoctrination.’ The biggest and by far most important is the U.S. military. Our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines are among the toughest, grittiest folks to ever walk the planet.â€? Bolling circles back to the Obama dedication as he blames this administration for “questioning the actions of our forces, which has allowed us to go from a winning strategy to a losing one.â€? How many people have been frustrated with political correctness? Bolling shows his exasperation calling it “defeatist crap ‌ a huge number of Americans think trying to make everyone equal is the right thing to do. For example, a school board’s decision in North Carolina to stop naming valedictorians over the ‘unhealthy
“Wake Up America should be the rallying cry for everyone who wants the United States to be great again. It is also the name of “The Five co-host Eric Bolling’s book. This July 4th, Independence Day, Americans can reflect on the clear vision Bolling puts forth for this nation, which has gone adrift over the last seven years from what the Founding Fathers intended. The book starts off powerfully with a dedication to President Obama and takes off from there as he explains why there is a need to return to the nine virtues of America’s past. The qualities he writes about are grit, manliness, individualism, merit, profit and providence, dominion over our environment, thrift, and above all pride in this country. Bolling speaks of his background, raised in a struggling blue-collar family in Chicago, where he learned from his parents that hard work and firm values will allow someone to get ahead in life. Those values drove him as a young baseball BOLLING, continued on Page 13 'PS BEWFSUJTJOH JOGPSNBUJPO DBMM t BEWFSUJTJOH!NJMJUBSZQSFTT DPN

Pentagon to end ban on transgender Americans
PERRYMAN Continued from Page 4
Announcement expected soon
Pentagon officials may soon announce an end to the military’s longtime ban on transgender Americans, multiple news outlets are reporting. Officials are expected to formally lift the ban in July. Citing an anonymous Defense Department official, USA Today reports that each branch of the military will have one year “to implement new policies affecting recruiting, housing and uniforms for transgender troops. That paper cites July 1 as the target announcement date, but Washington Post sources at the Pentagon weren’t so precise. A working group had been assessing a policy switch for months. But disagreement led to officials missing their deadline in early 2016, The Washington Post reported last month. “We do things in a careful, thoughtful manner, and I’m confident we’re going to get to the right place, Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said in May.
Transgender U.S. Army Reseve Captain Sage Fox speaks during a conference titled “Perspectives on Transgender Military Service from Around the Globe in Washington on October 20, 2014.
The prohibition has had serious implications for transgender men and women, thousands of whom are already serving in the armed forces. As New York magazine reported back in 2014: “Thanks to an outdated web of military regulations, transgender service members who come out are processed for separation,

either medical (the military still considers transgender identity a form of sexual deviance) or for violating a conduct regulation (forbidding cross-dressing or taking medication not prescribed by a military doctor), often with a less than honorable discharge that makes it difficult for them to access veterans’ benefits.â€? The Pentagon had been tight-lipped about what aspects of the policy change were holding them up. But the Air Force Times had some suspicions: “The Pentagon may also have to sort out other, military-specific questions, such as when transgender troops begin adhering to a new dress code and grooming standards, how their fitness standards would change, and whether the military health care system would provide them with hormone replacement therapy or gender reassignment surgery.â€? In May, the Pentagon acting personnel chief Peter Levine anticipated it would take months for officials to wrap up their discussions “We’re going to work through that ‌ and we’re going to do it expeditiously so that we can do it in this administration,â€? Levine said. “But it’s important that we not only do it, but do it right.â€?

talked about this in college, what’s it like over here and what’s it like over there. For me, during the opening kickoff I’m just looking around at all the Packers fans and the stadium just reminded me of college — it reminded me of a college atmosphere. I was pretty confident but at the same time, it was my first game starting. AG: Speaking of that, how nervous were you making your first start against an Aaron Rodgers-led Packers team? DP: No I wasn’t nervous, I wasn’t nervous at all. After that first play, whatever jitters you have they come out and you kind of go “it’s time to play ball now. AG: Many rookies say the speed of the game is the biggest issue for them, did the speed at this level effect you at all? DP: Yeah it is a little faster but I would say the biggest difference between college and the NFL is with these guys it’s all mental. Everybody is a great athlete (at this level) but it’s literally all mental. There’s a lot of information you get on the daily and you just have to contain that information. AG: Describe the feeling you had when you opened up the envelope and saw your first NFL paycheck with the name Denzel Perryman on it? DP: It felt good, it felt real good but when I looked at it I felt like they taxed me a little bit too much though. But it felt good because of all the hard work you put in from the time you start playing football to all the sacrifices you put in and now it’s right here. The Endzone: By signing wide receiver Keenan Allen to a reported four-year contract worth more than $11 million per season (San Diego Union Tribune), the Chargers put Allen along side of some elite company. According to overthecap.com, Allen is now on par with former Chargers’ wide receiver Vincent Jackson at No. 7 for the highest-paid receivers in the NFL. The Bengals’ A.J. Green tops the list, followed by Alshon Jeffery (Bears), Julio Jones (Falcons), Demaryius Thomas (Broncos), Dez Bryant (Cowboys) and T.Y. Hilton (Colts). How much of a difference did Allen make last season for quarterback Philip Rivers and the offense? The UnionTribune points out that with Allen in the lineup, the Chargers were the No. 1 offense in yards per game. Without Allen, they dropped to 24.

he stays the same. Finally in number “Kung Fu Panda 3 he gets a bigger role following Po and watching over him. It is very endearing and Mr. Ping makes sure he is safe and eating correctly. All of that is close to my heart and I pour it all into the role of Mr. Ping. It is very easy for me to do that. DreamWorks is a great bunch to work for. JJ: In “Kung Fu Panda 3 you were saying Mr. Ping gets more play, even though Po finds his birth father your character never gives up or changes. No matter what anyone says Ping is going to protect Po. JH: Of course, to me as Mr. Ping, Po is part of me therefore how can you cut that out or make it any different. It is a part of your soul, your being and you treat it as it’s a part of you by protecting it. That’s the way I treat Po, he is really part of me. 12 +VMZ
Forget this father thing, it doesn’t matter if he’s his real father or adopted father, Po is part of Ping. JJ: That’s what makes the film so special, you show how it is about heart and soul. As Ping you let us know that in your own unique way. You have had such an amazing career, how did you start? JH: Believe it or not I came here one summer as part of a comedy team called Hong & Parker and that summer we thought we would break in show business. Finally I got on Groucho Marx’s television show You Bet Your Life (1950) and somebody said, “There is this Chinese kid who does impressions and he does one of you Groucho and he said, “Put him on! I got the second biggest fan mail ever on his program. That opened all doors and I decided to stay in Hollywood. Movies came rather easily for me with the first with Clark Gable, the second one with John Wayne and the third one with William Holden.

of 2009. According to Philip Haney — a founder of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in 2003, established in response to 9/11 — DHS superiors brought in by the Obama administration ordered him in November 2009 to scrub and delete hundreds of records of individuals tied to designated Islamist terror groups affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, such as Hamas, from the Treasury Enforcement Communications System database. Donald Trump’s candidacy for president raises uncertain-

But there should be considerable certainty that Mr. Trump won’t be easily snookered on many of the key challenges facing the United States nor will his resolve to win in the cause of patriotism be easily shaken.
