AUT UMN
"Is not this a true autumn day? Just the still melancholy that I love—that makes life and nature harmonise. The birds are consulting about their migrations; the trees are putting on the hectic or the pallid hues of decay and begin to strew the ground, that one’s very footsteps may not disturb the repose of earth and air, while they give us a scent that is a perfect anodyne to the restless spirit.” ~ George Eliot

"Chopard's Ice Cube Collection: Icy Glamour with Bella Hadid"
Chopard has turned up the cool factor with its latest Ice Cube jewellerycampaign, andwhobettertofrontitthan BellaHadid.
The iconic supermodel brings her undeniable star power to the brand’s Ice Cube collection, and the result is nothing short of icy perfection.
By Marcella Martinelli
In this new campaign, Bella embodies the effortless, chic vibe that the Ice Cube collection represents, with sleek lines, geometric brilliance, and the ultimate “cool girl” aesthetic, all with a touch of luxury. Bella is decked out in Chopard’s signature cubeshaped jewellery, looking like she just stepped off a futuristic runway where minimalism meets glamour. Whether it is stacking rings, layering necklaces, or rocking statement earrings, Chopard channels the vibe of the modern woman.
The pieces, crafted in ethical Fairmined gold and available in yellow, white, and rose gold—are a nod to the future of fashion and responsible luxury.
What makes this campaign so exciting is the versatility of the collection.
Chopard showcases how Ice Cube pieces can go from day to night, stacked or solo, and how they add that final “wow” factor to any outfit. Whether you are layering delicate rings, flaunting a bold bracelet, or letting the shimmer of a diamond-studded necklace catch the light, this collection is all about blending minimalism with a statement.
Chopard’s decision to pair Bella Hadid with the Ice Cube collection couldn’t be more perfect. She is the embodiment of the modern, empowered woman that Chopard’s cool, geometric designs speak to. This campaign makes one thing crystal clear: the Ice Cube collection isn’t just about wearing jewellery, it’s about owning your style and making a statement, whether you are at an A-list event or simply out and about.
So, get ready to stack, layer, and shine like Bella in Chopard’s Ice Cube collection. It’s the cool, contemporary twist on luxury that we didn’t know we needed but now can’t live without!
Stephen Jones
The Master of Modern Millinery and Avant-Garde Elegance
By Marcella Martinelli
Stephen Jones, one of the most visionary milliners of the 21st century, has redefined the art of hat-making by blending fashion with sculpture, transforming headwear into bold, wearable statements. Known for his daring and inventive designs, Jones draws inspiration from a range of artistic and fashion icons. Among these influences, the work of Romanianborn modernist sculptor Constantin Brâncuși stands out, most recently shaping Jones’s stunning new collection, 'Curve' , a tribute to Brâncuși’s timelesselegance.
In this collection the influence of Brâncuși is palpable: sleek lines, harmonious proportions, and a sense of movement all combine to create headpieces that are more than mere accessories—they are works of art. Jones, like Brâncuși, explores the tension between simplicity and depth, where clean, graceful contours evoke a feeling of both naturaleaseandelevatedsophistication.
Some of Jones's most avant-garde designs, reminiscent of Brâncuși’s abstract creations, play with the idea of structure versus abstraction, creating pieces that appear effortlessly simple yet are deeply complex in their execution. Jones’s ability to translate Brâncuși’s modernist aesthetic into millinery demonstrates his genius for turning everyday objects into high art, much as Brâncuși did with his sculptures.
Jones’s work is also shaped by his collaborations with fashion legends Azzedine Alaïa,Thierry Mugler and Claude Montana, whose dramatic, theatrical designs have left an indelible mark on his creative process. Mugler, known for his futuristic silhouettes and fearless extravagance, inspired Jones to create hats thatarebold,fantastical,andavant-garde.Thefantasy and spectacle of Mugler’s work resonate in Jones’s millinery, where hats often take on exaggerated, otherworldly shapes that push the boundaries of fashion.
Similarly, Claude Montana’s architectural precision and strong, geometric silhouettes deeply influenced Jones.Montana’swork, characterizedbysleektailoring and structural elegance, finds echoes in Jones’s hats, which often mimic the sharp lines and bold forms of Montana’s garments. The result is a fusion of fashion andartthatisbothpowerfulandrefined.
What makes Stephen Jones truly remarkable is his ability to blend these diverse influences;Brâncuși’s modernist purity, Alaïa deep commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and timeless beauty and his sculptural,body-huggingdesigns,Mugler’sflamboyant fantasy, andMontana’sarchitecturalrigor.Hishatsdo more than adorn; they transform the wearer, acting as extensions of personal and artistic expression. Each piece bridges the gap between the avant-garde and the everyday, between the worlds of contemporaryartandcouturefashion.
Through his masterful designs, Jones turns heads into canvases, creating wearable works of art that challenge conventions, redefine elegance, and push the boundaries of both fashion and form. In his hands, the millinery is not just an accessory but a medium for storytelling, creativity, and transformation. With his latest collection 'Curve' Stephen Jones once again demonstrates his ability to take inspiration from the greatest artists and designers, weaving together their legacies to create something entirely new, utterly modern, anduniquelyhisown.

By choosing to support these fabulous brands, you can help fight back against the unsustainable practices of mainstream fashion while giving a high-five to Mother Earth! We’ve rounded up a list of these ethical champions, so if you want to strut your stuff in style while being a planet-saving superstar, keep reading!

Our story starts with you, our Pearly Queens. Without you, we can’t continue to improve. So thank you for being here, and if you shop with us, we’re eternally grateful. Improving its operations could make a truly positive difference to the future of our planet and global community.
OMNES means ‘all’. It’s our name because we are all in this together. We created OMNES to help change how you shop, wear and think about clothing and encourage the rest of the industry to change.
We want to do fashion differently. We want to make it better. Together.

As one of four brothers who trained as ballet dancers, where did your love for ballet originate? How did it all begin, and what inspired you to pursue ballet as a career?
Growing up, my brothers and I were heavily involved in sports, participating in every team and activity available. Dance was just another after-school option my parents enrolled us in to help us burn off energy—I've heard having fourboyswasquiteachallengeforthem!

What strategies do you use to maintain your physical and mental health as a dancer? How do you stay calm, composed, anddisciplined?

‘BRAZIL CREATING FASHION FOR TOMORROW’ FASHION OPENS LONDON FASHION WEEK WITH OPENS SUSTAINABILITY AND EMPOWERMENT
In an inspiring opening to London Fashion Week, the Brazilian Embassy in London unveiled A Chain of Women, as part of the ongoing initiative Brazil Creating Fashion for Tomorrow. This year’s edition, curated by the visionary trio of Camila Villas, Lilian Pacce, and Marilia Biasi, shines a spotlight on the socio-environmental values guiding Brazil’s most talented creators.
Through the exhibition’s meticulously designed spaces by Gigi Colagrossi, Helena Cebrian, and Luiza Chara, visitors were invited to witness the seamless blending of Brazil’s rich materials, exceptional craftsmanship, and forward-thinking design, whilst preserving traditional manual techniques that without the support of such designers can easily be lost due to the acceleration of consume and the ever growing fast fashion industry.
The exhibition highlights the essential role of women in the fashion industry—women who not only lead creative brands but also inspire meaningful change through their commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
Sustainability as a Central Theme
In collaboration with APEX, A Chain of Women highlighted innovative materials and production methods developed by Brazilian women, with each brand aligning with the UnitedNations’SustainableDevelopmentGoals(SDGs).
From reducing poverty and hunger to promoting education and gender equality, the exhibition underscored the significant role fashion can play in addressing global challenges. By focusing on material sustainability and responsible production processes, A Chain of Women positions itself as a powerful advocate for fashion’s potentialtocreatelastingchange.
Empowering Women Through Fashion
A wide range of brands took center stage in this exhibition, each bringing a unique story of empowerment and community engagement. CATARINA MINA showcased its partnership with local communities in Ceará, while FARM RIO exhibited pieces crafted by Yawanawá indigenous artisans. LENNY NIEMEYER also stood out with its collaboration with the Barreirinhas Craftswomen’s Association in Maranhão, highlighting the role of traditional craftsmanship in modern design.
CLARA WATANABE, creative mind behind WTNB was one of speakers during the event showcased their Tarsila Amarela, promoting a dialogue between the rural and the industrial whilst exploring the use VICUNHA denim, which is produced with regenerative cotton, a technique that reduces the use of chemicals and helps regenerating the health of the soil.
Other notable brands include NERIAGE in partnership with PROJETO AKRA representing the pivotal role of female craftsmanship through the materialisation of their Itaka line, and NALIMO by DAYANA MOLINA, a brand at the forefront of indigenous representation in Brazil’s fashion landscape.
The exhibition also spotlighted PATBO, a brand known for its embroiderers' school, which has empowered countless women in Brazil, and the visionary designers RENATA BRENHA and FLAVIA ARANHA, who have made significant strides in sustainable and ethical fashion production.

Thepiecesmadefromthismaterialwerenotonly integrated into the exhibition’s scenography but alsohighlightedthroughthedesignsshowcasedby the Elas Fazem Nós collective, a group of skilled artisans trained in traditional techniques such as macramé and crochet. These artisans have been instrumental in giving new life to textile waste, creating garments that not only reduce environmental impact but also generate income formarginalizedwomen.
A New Model for Circular Fashion
Speaking on the significance of circular fashion, Malwee CEO Gabriela Rizzo emphasized the urgent need for change in the industry:
"We are proud to introduce a Brazilian innovation that addresses one of fashion’s biggest challenges— the circular economy. The world produces 92 million tons of textile waste annually, and by 2030, this number could rise to over 130 million tons. Right now, only 12% of this waste is recycled, and a mere 1% is turned back into fibers for new clothing. Thread of the Future represents a revolutionary material that tackles this challenge head-on."
“We really tried to bring to the exhibition the most amazing pieces, showcasing these unique handmade creations on walls as works of art you see in a gallery, combining designs from people in different states of Brazil, showcasing the richness of Brazilian culture, allowing different points of view and perspectives to permeate the observe’s eyes whilst raising awareness to the over consumption issues and damage caused by the growing fashion landfill waste sent from the global north to the global south particularly in regions like the Atacama esert”

MaisonAzzura, foundedby designerEsmaAzzouz, sets thestandardforcoutureand ready-to-wearcraftsmanship. Esma and her team of artisans craft innovative, wearable art that reflects her Moroccan heritage and cultural richness. Maison Azzura’s ready-towear collections maintain the same high-quality craftsmanship as their couturepieces, embodyingthebrand's dedication to excellence in every garment.
Perhaps we could start with a little intro about your background and whatinspiredyoutocreatethebrand.
EA: It might sound like a cliché, but I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer from a young age. I turned that dream into reality by studying bothbusinessandfashion, andeven spentsometimeinParis.
Immersed in the city's worldrenowned fashion scene, I drew inspiration for my first collection, which pays homage to my Parisian experience. This collection features exceptional fabrics, many sourced from France, including classic tweeds—an essential element of my brand.
I am deeply committed to quality and have high standards for everything I create. I am often described as a perfectionist, I consider this a compliment, as I believe that attention to detail is crucial in fashion. After all, it’s the detailsthattrulymakeadifference.
Maison Azzura caters to women with a refined taste for luxury. How do you design for a clientele that seeksbotheleganceandtimelessness?
EA: It feels incredibly personal and rewarding for me to design for women who love what I make. For me, its about creating pieces that not only look stunning but also feel effortlessly beautiful on you. I blend classic and modern elements to make sure each design is perfect. When it comes to the fine details —like delicate embroidery and refined finishes - I believe it makes my designs trulyspecial.
Ialsobelievethattrueeleganceispersonal.Itake the time to understand what women want and create pieces that reflect that. At Maison Azzura, every garment is designed to be more than just fashion—it’satimelessreflectionoftheirpersonal grace.
Maison Azzura’s collections, both couture and ready-to-wear, exude a sense of cultural richness. How does your Moroccan heritage influence your designprocessandaesthetic?
EA: My Moroccan heritage deeply influences the design process and aesthetic at Maison Azzura. It infuses my collections with a unique blend of elegance and artistic flair. Moroccan fashion is renowned for its richness and detailed craftsmanship, and these qualities are centraltohowIapproachmydesigns.
Growing up, I loved the way my mother would wear the most beautiful Moroccan dresses. Each piece seemed to tell a story of its own, making a blend of tradition and beauty that left a lasting impression and fueled me to pursue fashion. This early exposure inspired me and becametheheartofMaisonAzzura.
I draw inspiration from Morocco’s rich fashion tradition and art, focusing on luxurious fabrics, intricate embroidery, and graceful silhouettes. These elements are woven into both my couture and ready-to-wear pieces, reflecting the sophisticated essence of Moroccan style while embracing modern design, offering our clients a distinctive and sophisticated experience.
Your work features intricate detailing and a deep connection to artisanal craftsmanship. Can you share a bit about the creative and technical collaborationwithyourteamofartisans?
EA: I work closely with the artisans to ensure that every piece reflects both my brand design and their exceptional skills. We begin by exploring concepts and sketching designs, focusing on how traditional techniques can be blended with contemporary fashion. I value their input and expertise, as they bring a deep understanding of their craft, which often leads to innovative approachesanduniquesolutions.
We engage in mindful planning and hands-on collaboration. Our artisans and I go through detailed discussions about fabric choices, embroidery patterns, and construction methods. This involves several iterations and adjustments to ensure that each detail meets our high standards of quality and precision. I have a passion for working with crystals, which is a signature element in my collections. From intricately beaded dresses to elegant gloves, each piece is crafted by the artisans by hand and can takemonthstocomplete.
Thecollaborationbetweenourcreative vision and artisanal expertise is what allows us to producepiecesthatarenotonlyvisuallystunning but also embody a high quality. This collaborative approach ensures that every collection we create is a true reflection of our commitment and love forcraftsmanshipanddesign.
Whathavebeensomeoftheproudestmomentsinyourcareeras adesignersofar?
EA: There have been several proud moments in my career that truly stand out. Presenting my spring/summer collection at Paris Fashion Week was a significant milestone, as was the opportunity to dress international celebrities at the Cannes Film Festival. I also had a memorable pop-up experience at the Hama Gallery in Amsterdam, showcasing my couture pieces. Another highlight was Olympian Anastasia Gertz wearingMaisonAzzurainL’OfficielMonaco.
How do you see the role of a Creative Director evolving in the luxury fashion industry? What challenges and opportunities do youanticipateinthecomingyears?

With a strong commitment to equality and sustainability, how does ALEGRA COLLECTIVE support independent and conscious entrepreneurs in the fashion industry, and what impact do you hope this will have on the broader market?
BR: Curation is key. Many Europeans still associate Latin American craftsmanship with souvenirs from tourist markets. What we are introducing is exceptional design often mistaken for 'European design. Repeatedly, people have asked, "Is this a Jill Sander, Prada, or Malene Birger piece?" I love proudly replying, "This is made by artisans in Latin America." The look of surprise on their faces is always gratifying. ALEGRA's mission is for Latin American design to be valued just as highly as European design, with people willing to invest in it justasenthusiastically.
As the founder of ALEGRA COLLECTIVE, I believe that by supporting independent and conscious entrepreneurs in the fashion industry, we can create a ripple effect that transforms the fashion ecosystem. We provide Latin American entrepreneurs with access to resources, consultancy, and platforms that help them gain exposure and scale their businesses while remainingtruetotheirvaluesofethicalproduction, fairwages, andenvironmentallyfriendlypractices.

What inspired your decision to move from working with luxury fashion conglomerates to focusing on sustainability, and how has your Brazilian heritage shaped your approach to this new direction?
RR: After years of working within powerful luxury fashion conglomerates, I felt a deep desire to realign my career with values that resonate with my roots. As a proud Brazilian, I’ve always admired the rich cultural heritage and unparalleled craftsmanship found in Latin America, particularly within indigenous communities and female-led ventures. This shift toward sustainability isnotjustabouttransformingfashion;it’s abouthonouringthelegacyofthepeople andtraditionsthatinspireme.

How did the Dunesi label come about, andwhatwasyourjourney?
This current version of the brand results from a re-launch that I did 1.5 years ago. TheoriginalDunesiwasaresort-wearbrand trying (and struggling) to be sustainable where possible. Because I couldn’t figure out a way to turn that style of label into a fully sustainable business I did not want to continue working on something that I could not fully stand behind personally, so I decided to put everything on pause for about three years until the upcycled denim conceptwasreadytobelaunched.

Post-Fashion Week Beauty Regime
An Expert's Guide to Winding Down and Revitalising Your Skin
With Ruby Hammer MBE
Fashion Week can be a whirlwind—a spectacular blend of artistry, creativity, and chaos. From pre-dawn call times to endless runway shows, the demands on models, designers, and makeup artists are immense. For many of us in the beauty industry, Fashion Week is the epitome of excitement and exhaustion rolled into one. Once the final catwalk has been walked, it’s essential to wind down, rejuvenate, and recalibrate your beauty routine to restore your skin and spirit. Here’s how to transition from the high-octane energy to a more serene, restorative beauty regime.
Detox Your Skin
After days of heavy makeup, constant touch-ups, and long hours under harsh lighting, your skin deserves a break. Begin your post-Fashion Week routine with a thorough detox. Opt for a gentle yet effective double-cleansing method. Start with an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup, SPF, and impurities. Follow up with a water-based cleanser todeepcleanyourpores.
Incorporate a detoxifying mask into your routine—look for ingredients like activated charcoal or kaolin clay, which are excellent for drawing out impurities without stripping theskinofitsnaturaloils.Usethismasktwiceweeklytohelpyourskinrecoverfromthe heavymakeupload.
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Dehydration is a common issue, especially after exposure to artificial lighting and long hours in dry environments. Rehydrateyourskinwithahydratingserumrichinhyaluronic acid, which can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Pair this with a nourishing moisturiser to lock in hydration andrestoreyourskin'smoisturebarrier.

Pamper with Facial Treatments
This is the perfect time to indulge in facial treatments that focus on repair and rejuvenation. A lymphatic drainage massage can work wonders for reducing puffiness and promoting circulation, giving your complexion a fresh, revitalized look. Consider booking a professional facial that includes LED light therapy to stimulate collagen productionandaddressanypost-FashionWeekbreakoutsorredness.
At home, invest in a high-quality jade roller or gua sha tool. These tools, when used correctly, can enhance lymphatic drainage, reduce puffiness, and improve skin texture. Usetheminyoureveningroutinetosootheyourskinandmind.

A SANCTUARY OF SERENITY
By Melanie Burnett
Carol ventured through various industries during her career, including the fashion and international corporate sectors. These experiences introduced her to a range of roles that sparked both admiration and despair. Her journey encompassed everything from collaborating with fashion photographers to designingathleticapparelandexploringhumanresourcesinvariouscapacities.
Yet, it was within the corporate realm that she encountered her most challenging times. Overwhelmed by anxiety and stress, her mental health took a significant toll. Despite these hardships, she was driven to conquer her obstacles; she set out on a mission to find a solution. Committed to reclaiming her sense of control and peace, she searched for natural alternatives to enhance her mental wellbeing.

A friend introduced me to high-quality essential oils, and the moment I inhaled them, something shifted—it was like a glimpse of calm breaking through the chaos. FACIAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
Dina El Adlani is the pioneering London-based psychologist and psychodermatology expert curing skin conditions while treating the mind
Words by Juliet Herd
Dina El Adlani is not your usual beauty expert. By day, she works as a psychologist in the criminal justice system. At weekends, she combines her passion for skincare with her knowledge of therapy to deliver highly bespoke facials that address skin issuescausedbyfactorssuchasstress, anxietyandhormonalimbalance.
It is a unique approach that has gained her a growing following among TV personalities and business leaders looking to improve their skin as well as their overall well-being. As one of a handful of pyschodermatology experts in the UK, Dina is on a mission to treat both the skin and the mind, aware that any stress we feel mentally can often manifest itself physically. “Psychodermatology combines psychology and dermatology to address skinconcernsthatarebeyondtheepidermis,”shetellsMillionair, listingrosacea,
eczema, acne and psoriasis as some ofthepersistentskinconditionsthat can be caused by stress, anxiety or depression. “An increase in cortisol can stimulate the sebaceous oil glands, leadingtocloggedporesand acne. Cortisol can also break down collagen as well as cause hyperpigmentation due to the overproductionofmelanin.”
Built on the foundations of psychodermatologyisDina’sluxury brand ESPÉRER Skincare, which she founded in 2019 after many years of dedicated researchinbotanicalscience, dermatologyandthehumannervoussystem.Asaformer makeup artist, she was also inspired by the experiences of her clients, who shared how much their skin concerns impacted their self-esteem, affecting their quality of life as a whole.Itwassomethingshecouldrelatetoherself, havingsufferedfromhormonalacne asateenager,whichledtofeelingsoflowself-esteemandalackofconfidence.
“I spent a considerable amount of time trying to find myself and accept myself, and like many of us, I had an unrealistic perception of beauty that was highly influenced by the mediaandpeopleIhaveencounteredinmylife,”revealsDina.
“This led to self-esteem issues, anxiety and at times, an unhealthy need for validationfromthosewhoseopinionsIvalued.”
She found herself spending her pay checks on skincare brands that, in hindsight, werenotsuitableforherageorskintype.“Ididn'tunderstandmyskin'sneeds, nor was I aware of how closely mental health and skin health are connected. I never leftthehousewithoutapplyinglayersoffoundationandpowdertocovermyspots orthescarsfrompickingatthem.”
Billedasthefirstpsychodermatologicalskincarerange,ESPÉRER(thenamemeans ‘hope’ in French) products are designed to improve the skin while benefiting the mind, supporting the release of positive neurotransmitters and bringing the skin and psyche into balance using NeuroPlant™ technology. “Neuroplant™ Technology is a proprietary complex of bioactives and plant compounds that have been proventoworkeffectivelyataneuro-cellularlevel,influencingthenervoussystem,” says Dina, who is based in London and holds a master’s degree in psychoanalytic psychology from University College London. “Skin is permeable and absorbs substances applied to it, which is why we believe it is very important what you put onyourskin.”
Originally from Morocco, she set out to learn about natural and traditional skincare in her home country, working with herbalists and agriculturalists – as well as dermatologists - to create botanical products that resulted in healthy, radiant skin while contributing to overall mental well-being. Concentrations of ingredients such as blue tansy, sandalwood and pomegranate, along with other botanical actives, work to boost mental health by promoting the release of positive neurotransmitters. “Pomegranate compounds not only reduce oxidative stress but also have been found to play a role in influencing serotonin, which is responsible for mood regulation,” says Dina, whose hero products include a cell-renewing night oil, which helps to fade hyperpigmentation and uplift the senses through the release of dopamine, and a calming antioxidant face creamthatsmellslikeaMoroccangardeninspring.
“I started this skincare line to provide effective solutions for skin affected by emotional states,” Dina says. “My years of research have shown a deep connection between the mind and the skin – an important link that wasn’t recognised by the beauty industry when I first embarked on this journey. The unfortunate reality is that unrealistic depictionsofbeautycontinuetobeafactorinexacerbatingpeople’sskinissues, asthey struggle with low self-esteem and confidence due to constant comparisons with society's‘ideal’beautystandards.Thiscanleadtomentalhealthproblemsthataffectthe skin and vice versa. That’s why I believe in offering skincare that promotes healthy skin, not unattainable perfection. I haven’t worn foundation in years and now feel a sense of freedomandemotionalwell-being.”
A visit to Dina’s top-floor clinic in Manchester Square in the heart of the Harley Street district is like combining a therapy session with a relaxing facial. Indeed, her facials combine talk therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), somatic breathwork, lymphatic drainage andAImachinefacialanalysis.
After being invited to take a seat on a reclining armchair with footstool – her version of a psychiatrist’s couch – she takes me through a psychodermatology questionnaire to establish my skincare concerns. This includes questions about how I feel about my skin’s appearance, whether I’ve experienced any mood changes relating to my skin, whether my skin impacts my confidence or ever leads me to avoid social situations, what my daily stress levels are, how receptive I am to compliments, and how critical I am of my appearancewhenIlookinthemirror.
“OurversionofTalktherapyisamuchmore modern, humanistic approach than traditional psychology, which is more detached,” explains Dina. “You can explore issues like anxiety in a collaborative and compassionateway.”
Admittedly, it’s the first time I’ve thought about my skin in such a holistic way, but I readily acknowledge that, yes, it can be affected by things like stress or tiredness. Dina quickly establishes that my skin is seriouslydehydrated
(the AI analysis shows I have a worryingly lowmoisturecontentof27percent),which can be caused by increased cortisol production due to stress or anxiety. Elevated cortisol levels can cause the body to retain more salt, leading to water retention and swelling in various parts of the body, notably under the eyes. Caffeine and alcohol, as well as foods high in salt, canalsobecontributingfactors.
At this point, I move to the therapy bed, where she begins by cleansing my face with ESPÉRER Oil-to-Milk cleanser, which contains a blend of grapeseed, fig and sandalwood as well as a fusion of antioxidants and vitamins to deeply nourish the face and promote the release of positive neurotransmitters. This is followed by exfoliation using a hydrafacial machine, targeting congested pores and delivering much-needed hydration. I’m then treated to a facial massage and lymphatic drainage (to reduce the fluid undermyeyes!)whilebeingencouragedto practice somatic breathwork, a form of conscious breathing that teaches you how to breathe fully and promotes the flow of oxygen to your brain and body. For the massage, Dina uses the soothing AntiAgeing Night Repair Face Oil, a heavenly blend of argan oil, squalane and rose and vitamins E and K, along with omegas 3, 6 and 9, to boost elasticity and engender a senseofcalm.
Depending on the client’s need, it’s during the next stage - when the relaxing Clarifying Clay Mask is applied - that Dina will employ CBT to address any issues raised during the initial armchair consultation, aimed at giving clients a deeper understanding of their skin and the root causes of any problems they may have. She describes it as a “unique and revolutionary idea that could change the way we view skin wellness”. If the client requires more intense therapy, then the facials will be adjusted accordingly and follow-up treatments arranged.
The final phase involves ultrasound treatment to stimulate all-important collagen production. The vibrations from the ultrasound waves stimulate blood flow and circulation within the skin, which helps to deliver more oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells, promoting a healthier, more radiant complexion. This treatment can also help to reduce puffiness and swelling by improving lymphatic drainage as well as promote skin tightening and lifting by targeting the deeper layers of the skin. Next, Dina applies her uplifting Rejuvenating Serum with a cold hammer device to enable deeper penetration, followed by the calming Antioxidant FaceCreamtohelpreducecortisol.
We finish with some light breathwork and my therapeutic facial is complete, leaving me feeling replenishedbothinsideandout!

Canyousharethestorybehindyourjourneyincreatingyourstrikingart?
My combined love for visual art and philosophy took me on an exhilarating and adventurous journey. That very journey was kick-started by my wife Tessa, who, during Covid, reminded me of my skills and talents of years long gone. Her subjective and biased approach found grateful ears. It wasn’t easy to get back into it; the muscle memory of my fingers had better days, and my eyes seemed to be more relaxed than theyshouldhavebeen, butacoupleofweeksintothejourney, myhandcouldn’twaitfor what my brain was going to produce. It felt like a calvary one moment and a dopamine rush the next. Re-studying the old masters, from Caravaggio through Ribera and Velasquez to the modern pop world of Liechtenstein and Warhol. The visual dichotomy between the old and the new became symbiotic to me. The oneness of it all. Why segregate?Whydivide?
As Heraclitus said, everything is in flux, and our species' evolution is just at its beginnings. Being me, I still needed some added sugar, and yes, it was given to me by my second big love: philosophy. From a young boy, I was fascinated, attracted, and almost obsessively strangled by the great philosophers of our planet. My philosophical journey started with Camus, through Heidegger via Kierkegaard, to finish with the master itself, Nietzsche. Everything was re-evaluated on the cards, from metaphysics andethicstoepistemology.Onehastodoubtthestandardsofourstatusand, inshort, questioneverythingtoseetheworldinadifferentlight.Pleasedon’tgetmewrong;what I tell you is entirely subjective. A subjectivity that works for my mind, not necessarily solipsistic, butyetassubjectiveasitgets.Wittgensteinisprobablylaughinginthehigher spheres of the celestial frequencies. So here you have it: my art is a melting pot of provokingideasandunansweredphilosophicalquestions, neverpoliticalbutcarryingan ontological DNA that should make us think differently about our lives, our approach towards the concept of time and ultimately towards us. My art is nothing but existential food in colours. We shouldn’t be afraid to find ourselves, we shouldn’t be frightened to question life, and we shouldn’t be scared to be creative. It doesn’t matter if it’s good or not if your creation is a success. What counts is that you squeeze your cerebral juices and re-discover your synaptic athleticism. Maybe Nietzsche was right after all; my wife certainlywas.
We admire your philosophy of drawing inspiration from your heritage, career, and culture to craft vibrant designs that enhance storytelling. Could you share moreaboutthisprocess?
Thankyouverymuch;itmeansalottome. Well, my process is quite eclectic, if not chaotic. Nevertheless, most of my paintings start with a question—mostly an existential one. The result is always the same: a monolithic period of insomnia. If one brain hemisphere wants to go for a snooze, but the other has got other ideas, that is the moment that memory goes amok. I start seeing snap-shots of paintings from Caravaggio, Correggio and Tintoretto to Rubens, Ingres and so on until the journey slows down on Jasper Johns, Manga Art and Lichtenstein before being prodded by Montaigne, Pascal and Sartre. Quite exhausting, to say the least. As frenzied the thinking process it, is the artistic execution. All the sketches and composition are done alla prima. I try not to change anything afterwards. Now starts the laborious fleshing out, detailing and colouring. It is during these weeks that my brain can recharge again and take a sabbatical.

ONE OF THE NEW DISCOVERIES IN THE ART WORLDHARTI, IS SET TO LAUNCH AN EXCLUSIVE FURNITURE & HOMEWARES RANGE FOR 2025.
Thelimited-editionfurniturecollection,FeaturingHarti’soriginal paintings, will include luxe velvet armchairs, dining chairs, and deckchairs, as well as homewares such as cushions and tablecloths. This new exclusive furniture collection will be availabletoorderonlineatHarti-Art.comfromNovember2024. Celebratingthelinkbetweenartanddesign, thisnewcollection of furniture and homewares recognises that art is an essential component of the modern home. Artistic movements have always influenced interior design, both avenues highlighting personal and aesthetic connections. For this collection, Harti’s post-modernist pop art movement-inspired artwork has been reproduced onto luxe velvets and rich linens, a collection of bold, thought-provoking, statement pieces of furniture and accessoriesforthehome.
Sascha Hartmann of Harti Art comments: “Why should my art be confined to canvas? Essentially, this is functional art that brings a new dynamic to furniture. There is no eye so discerningastheeyeofanartist.
The objects we live with, be it furniture, ceramics, rugs or art, are meticulously considered and chosen to reflect our character and personal tastes. When people sit on the Harti armordiningchairs,Iwantthemtoquestiontheirownselfand thepolitical, historicalandreligiousdoctrinesthatfeatureinmy paintings. I’m a storyteller, and this unique piece of furniture allows one to immerse oneself not only through my painting perception but through tactility, experiencing a new philosophical reality. My paintings capture and question belief systems, societal anxieties, political oppression, love, hate, and desire - of course, some will find it controversial. Each dining chair features a ‘commentary pop art’ face, our ‘collective subconscious’ if you will. The aim? To stimulate, engage and challenge one to peel back layers of their own mind through dramatic artistic commentaries. Eco friendly travel to Olbia, Sardinia
Hotel Cala Cuncheddi.
By Davina Catt
Meander your way down the winding roads from Olbia airport, off the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, surrounded by the mountainous landscape true to a coastal city, which overlooks the gulf enclosing Tavolara and Molaraislands, andyouwillreachHotelCalaCuncheddi.
Fifteen minutes from the airport by car, routed deep in its own verdant and hilly enclave, is the four-and-half star hotel, which embodies the very essence of the beloved Sardinian isles: slow (sustainable) living, turquoise seas so clear they become crystalline, and unspoilt views directly across the bayontothecoastalterritoryofPortoCervo.
Yet the ravishing settings and vivid atmospherics of Cala Cuncheddi can’t be found in any luxury Sardinian stay. Cala Cuncheddi was built in the late 1970’s reflectedinthetraditionalpastel-coloured hotel building façade: this architectural stylewasdreamtupinthecreativetimeof the 70’s, when a handful of Italian architects, includingMolteni&CandLuigi Vietti, invented a style from nothing, to integrate into the breathtaking landscape, stretching along the twenty kilometres of Costa Smeralda coastline. Influenced by Brutalist purity, this simple architecture wascreatedasa‘camouflage’soasnotto distract from the striking beauty of the Sardinian red rock formation and pristine turquoiseseas.WhilstCalaCuncheddihas undergone several interior renovations to evolve with the times of stylish urban renewal, the original architecture built facing onto the sea – new build hotel regulationsnowonlyallowbuildingstobe 2-3mbackfromtheseafront–makesthis dreamsettingauniqueproposition.
From the moment one steps into the openplan,minimalistreceptionofthe80room hotel is to be immersed into a luxurygetawaythatdoesn’tneedtoshout
about sustainable concepts because the essence of eco, nature friendly is embedded into the experience. Upon arrivaloneisstruckbyviews, envelopedin shades of blue on blue from every angle: the hotel Cala Cuncheddi has its own heartshapedinfinitypoolwithcobaltblue water resemblant of a David Hockney artwork, which looks towards Li Cuncheddi, the hotel’s private, neighbouringpureshorebeachfront. The enshrouding natural sunlight looms from the bright blue skies as if in a JM Turner painting, sinkingintotheturquoisemeets emerald-green seas, so clear, you can detect the sea bream swimming around you.
The charm and idyllic, back-to-simplicite style of living synonymous with the Sardinian isles, lies at the heart of the Cala Cuncheddi experience: infact the original family still ran the hotel until 2022.Withinthethree-floorlayout,there are two main restaurants, Asarena for breakfast and lunch, Asumari for dinner, which offer alfresco dining with vistas straightacrosstherockycoastsandlush vegetation of the local hillsides. Both have a laissez-faire ambiance offering a daily menu full of Italian classics, signaturepastacombinationsandlocally caughtfreshfish, withsetmenusalsoat reasonable price points. This editor enjoyed a seaview room – a minimalist designed double – with a small terrace overlooking the six-acre garden full of centuries old myrtle and olive trees. Small measures have been made to integrate more eco-friendly options: the marble fitted bathrooms feature new ‘hemp care’ utilities by Allegriniandanosingleplasticpolicyhas been adopted throughout the hotel offering.
Forthoselookingformodernluxuries,a highlight of the Cala Cuncheddi experience is the advanced Spa and symposium treatment area: fitted by luxury Italian interior designers, Gessi. Hotel Cala Cuncheddi is one of those rare gems that is formatively a luxury hotel but still has an informality that suitssolotravellers, honeymoonersand familyholidays.
Ultimately the Cala Cuncheddi hotel experience is a relationship of architecture and nature, effortlessness and elegance. And whilst the hotel celebrates the slow living traditions of Sardinia, sustaining the nature friendly values of its people, it doesn’t fall into nostalgia but looks forward to all the offeringsofmodernluxurytravel.

FUSSY
Why do we LOVE this brand...
As seen on Dragons' Den. Fussy is the UK's highest rated refillable natural deodorant with plastic-free refills and clean effective ingredients that actually work. Backed by science it will keep you smelling fresh forover24hours.
Fussy is a natural, sustainable deodorant. To begin with, you buy a starter set with a refillable case and as many refills as you like. When your refill runs out, you remove the empty refill (which is made of biodegradable card) and simply pop in a new refill. It’s very simple to replace the refills, and you can even getthemonsubscriptiontosavetime.
The deodorant itself is packed with loads of fab ingredients to keep you feeling fresh and to care for the planet too. Tapioca keeps you dry, sunflower wax, coconut oil and shea butter help the deodorant go on smoothly, and sodium bicarbonate and magnesium hydroxide are there to keep odour away. However the thing I love most of all is that Fussy contains a probiotic called Lactobacillus which keeps the smelly bacteria at bay whilst keeping your underarm healthy. And most importantly, Fussy is free of pthalates, aluminium, parabens and any other nasties you might find in other deodorants.
The different scents contain varying amounts of additional ingredients, but all are natural. Unlike manyotherdeodorantbrands, whouseartificial scents, Fussy uses natural fragrances that are approved by the International Fragrance RegulatoryAssociation(IFRA)
