The MDSO will feature principal players Amanda Pond on flute and harpist Julia Jamieson in Mozart’s Concerto for Flute and Harp, followed by Symphony No.1 in C Minor by Johannes Brahms. Truly a labor of love, Brahms worked on his first symphony for more than 20 years. The result was one of the great jewels in the orchestral repertoire. We also welcome guest conductor Gregory Pritchard to the stage for Beethoven’s Egmont Overture.
