NICHOLAS DUNN (Richard Hannay) is jubilant to be back at the Grand Theatre after appearing last season in Noises Off, and in Inherit the Wind a really, really long time ago. Other Utah credits include Pioneer Theatre Company (Romeo & Juliet, Othello, 42nd Street) The Lyric Rep Company (Amadeus, Big River, Private Lives, Mousetrap, Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged), Pinnacle Acting Company (Mauritius, The Beauty Queen of Lenane), Wasatch Theatre Company (Wit, Dinner) and the SimonFest (Come Blow Your Horn). Nick has also appeared on screen with Hallmark, Magnolia Pictures, the WB, KUED-PBS, and in a number of commercials, including Verizon, Microsoft, and the Utah Jazz. He holds a BFA from the U of U and an MFA from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Nick teaches in the theatre department at the University of Utah.
MAX HUFTALIN (Clown Two) is delighted to be returning to The Grand, and to be working with such a talented group of artists. Max is a graduate of Westminster College with a BFA in Theatre Performance and has performed with various companies across the valley,
including Company of Cohorts, a company he built with his college classmates and friends, for which he wrote several short plays. Previous credits at The Grand include To Kill a Mockingbird (Jem), A Streetcar Named Desire (Doctor), and Oliver! (the Artful Dodger); Mercury (Nick) at the Salt Lake Acting Company; The Importance of Being Earnest (Algernon) and Mauritius (Dennis) with Pinnacle Acting Company; and The Byron Five (Kipling) and With You (Nick) with Company of Cohorts.
MARA LEFLER (Woman) has an MFA in Acting from Indiana University. She teaches acting, audition technique, Shakespeare, and devised theatre. Her most recent roles include work with SONDERimmersive as Martha Gellhorn in Hemingway and the Byrd and Maria in Through Yonder Window; Colleen/Bart in Mr. Burns: A post-electric play; and Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing. She has worked at multiple theatres in Utah, Indiana, and California. Utah credits include The Ziegfeld’s A Comedy of Errors (Adriana), Utah Shakespeare Festival’s educational tour of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania) and HCT’s A Bundle of Trouble (Maggie). Indiana

ELLIE OTIS (Swing) is overjoyed to be working with The Grand and Jamie again after assistant directing for him in Head Over Heels. You may also have seen her recently in the world premiere of Dead Certain (ensemble/Adele) at The Grand. She’s performed and directed for several Salt Lake companies, including AnOther Theatre (Sind of Self Love), Seen and Heard Productions (The Mandela Project), and Chronicle Theatre (King Lear). Ellie is grateful for the artistic platform The Grand has given her and hopes to become a stage director while continuing her acting career.
JADEN RICHARDS (Swing) graduated with his BFA in theatre performance from Westminster College. Some of his memorable performances include: As You Like It (Orlando), The Thanksgiving Play (Jaxton), and Gaslight (Mr. Manningham) on the Westminster College stage, or in Our Town (George), Measure for Measure (Pompey), and The Rivals (Faulkland) at Snow College.
MICHELLE LYNN THOMPSON (Clown One) is charmed to return for her eleventh production at The Grand! Michelle holds a BFA in Acting with an emphasis in Musical Theatre
from Cornish College of the Arts in 2015. JAMIE ROCHA ALLAN (Director) is a Freelance Theatre Director specializing in the Classics and New writing. He completed his MFA in Theatre Directing at Birkbeck College London. Born and raised in London, Jamie is now based in the US. Alongside Freelance directing, he is also Artistic Director of Umbrella Theatre Company.
CAMDEN BARRETT (Assoc. Director) is a theatre-maker based in Salt Lake and a student in the Actor Training Program at the University of Utah. Pursuing her passion for directing and teaching theatre, Camden served as asst. director at the University for The Old Man and the Old Moon (dir. Jamie Rocha Allan), Matilda Jr. (dir. Alicia Washington), and Storm Still (dir. Alexandra Harbold). Additionally, Camden and Niko Krieger formed KID SISTER, a movement-based theatrical collaboration dedicated to devising new work with emerging professional theatre makers. This past July, KID SISTER premiered its inaugural piece, Kite Flyer, at Memory Grove Park, and in December, KID SISTER produced a second successful piece on the University of Utah campus, Everything is About Something. Most recently, Camden
worked as the assistant director for A Year With Frog and Toad at SLAC(dir. Penny Caywood), as part of their Pre-Professional Training Program and Mentorship.
KYLE BECKER (Set Design) has been teaching design and production for the University of Utah’s Department of Theatre since 2007. Kyle has also designed and constructed projects in California, Oklahoma and Florida. He received his MFA from the University of California-Irvine with an emphasis in Scene Design. Locally, he has designed for the Grand Theatre at Salt Lake Community College and Youth Theatre at the University of Utah. Kyle loves to empower students with many skills to make their design visions come to life, from hand carving to 3D printing.
ADAM DAY (Sound Design) has a BFA in Performing Arts Design from the University of Utah. He works as the Technical Director at The Grand Theatre after serving as their Resident Sound Designer for four years. Some of his recent credits include sound design and live mix for Monty Python’s Spamalot, Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, & Hairspray (The Grand Theatre); Steel Pier, American Idiot (U of U Theatre Department) and Climbing With Tigers (Salt Lake Acting Company).
RACHAEL HARNED (Lighting Design) holds a degree in Performing Arts Design from The U of U. Her most recent lighting design credits include Noises Off (The Grand), Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: A Rock Experience (Babcock Theatre), Crazy for You (Bonneville High School) and White Savior, Flying, and WAIT! (PYGmalion Theatre Company), and Night Witches (U of U Theatre Department). She has had the opportunity to design and assistant design at many of the professional venues in Salt Lake Valley over the last 6 years for
both theatre and dance. Most recently, she assisted on Rocky Horror Picture Show (The Grand) and Once on This Island, and La Cage aux Folles (Pioneer Theatre).
STACEY JENSON (Dialect Coach) is an Adjunct Professor in the University of Utah’s BFA Actor Training Program and SLCC’s Theatre Department. In SLC, Stacey has served as Dialect Coach for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the NightTime and Cabaret (SLCC); A View from the Bridge and Noises Off (The Grand); Dracula, Eclipsed, and The Rivals (U of U); and Mary Poppins (Sandy Arts Guild). In London, she served as Dialect Consultant for Angels in America (The National Theatre); Instructions for American Servicemen in Britain (Fol Espoir Theatre Company); and Simpatico (The Tabard Theatre). Stacey holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Utah’s Actor Training Program, an MFA in Acting from American Conservatory Theatre, and an MFA with Distinction in Voice Studies from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (London).
SHANNON MCCULLOCK (Costume Design) is a Utah based costume designer residing in Salt Lake City. She received her BFA in Performing Arts Design from the University of Utah in 2010. Shannon began designing for The Grand Theatre as Resident Costume Designer in 2016. Though her body of work emphasis is musical theater, she has also designed for opera, classical Greek theater, American classic theater, children’s theater, and music video. Her resident designer position finds her primarily designing for The Grand, however, she has also been fortunate to design for SLAC, the Utah Classical Greek Theater Festival, Westminster College Opera Studio, the U of U, and the Utah Museum of Natural History Children’s Theater Program.
ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM
MÁIRE NELLIGAN (Props Design) received her degrees in theater eons ago and spent some time directing with HerVoice, a feminist theater troupe in Kent, Ohio. Moving West, she worked with local and semi-professional theaters in Arizona. During the Arizona years, she also spent time as a firewatch and a ranch hand, as well as an adjunct professor at Cochise Community College. After moving to Utah, Máire worked for SLCC’s Fine Arts department before coming to work for The Grand. She loves being the prop master, and generally considers whichever show she’s currently working on to be her favorite. She will admit, however, that the two “most fun ever” were La Cage aux Folles and Spamalot.
KALISTA VORDOS (Stage Manager) is pleased to be stage managing her first show at the Grand Theatre. She has previously worked as an assistant stage manager on The Rocky Horror Show (2021) and Head Over Heels and has loved every second. Other favorite productions she has worked on include Something Rotten (PTC), the world premiere of A Night to Dismember (The Great Salt Lake Fringe, 2022), The Night Witches (U Theatre, Online), and She Kills Monsters (Kingsbury Hall). She holds a B.A. in Theatre Studies and a certificate in Stage Management from the University of Utah.

Audio Enhancement Equipment – is available for theatre patrons who are hearing-impaired. The Box Office has Comtex wireless personal receivers which allow a patron to sit anywhere in the theatre and receive high fidelity audio. Because there is no charge for this service, you will be requested to leave your driver’s license with the cashier until the equipment is returned.
Babies and Small Children – often make it uncomfortable for other theatre patrons. Therefore, no children under 5 are allowed. Small children must have their own seat.
Disabled Patrons – may use wheelchair seating areas in the theatre. Each area can accommodate four wheelchair patrons and companion chairs. Ticket prices vary for each section. Aisle seats may be requested by patrons who can be assisted in the transfer from wheelchairs to theatre seats.
Box Office Hours – are 12 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. On performance days, the box office is open from 12 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Latecomers – will not be seated in their reserved seats until the end of a scene. Latecomers will be seated somewhere that will not disturb punctual theatre patrons.
Lost and Found – will be held by the head usher until the end of the performance. Thereafter, please contact the Box Office at 801. 957.3322. All items, after a period of 24 hours, will be taken to Administrative Services in Rm N121. They may be contacted at 801.957.3301.
Photography, Sound Recording or Videotaping – of any performance or the possession of any such device inside this theatre without the written permission of management is prohibited. Offenders may be requested to leave and may be liable for damages and other lawful remedies.
Theatre Parking – is available at no charge in areas on the East and North side of the building. Patrons who are unable to walk from the parking area to the theatre may be dropped off and picked up at the building doors on the North side of the College. Ticketing will occur when parked in the disabled parking
