WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST DIRECTOR’S NOTE “When sorrows come, they come not single spies. But in battalions!” — William Shakespeare, from Hamlet Shakespeare certainly knew what he was talking about—there have been battalions of sorrow, difficulties, and challenges in the past couple of years. Throughout all of them, I have looked forward to bringing this valentine to musical theatre onto our stage. PTC obtained the rights to Something Rotten! in the spring of 2019 and planned to present it in 2020. Well, here we are, 2022! Along with our patrons, much of this cast has waited two years to come here and be a part of this production; it is a tribute to everyone’s fortitude that we are here now to enjoy it. I think it is no less appropriate, worthy, and welcome now than it was then. —Karen Azenberg
