a message from MICHAEL BALLAM Dear Members of Our Festival Family, Welcome to the beginning of our second quarter-century! For me, personally, producing Amazing Grace is one of the most exciting offerings upon which we have ever embarked. We are the first company to be given the rights to produce this noble work since its Broadway premiere in 2015, and its subsequent limited tour. It is based on the life story of John Newton (1725-1807), who created the most beloved hymn of all time. Amazing Grace has been recorded over 6,500 times and is sung over 10 million times a year. Newton’s life is a perfect example of the power of redemption. He turned from being an “enemy of God” to a veritable saint. You will leave the theatre resolved to lean on the amazing grace afforded us by our Creator as never before. One of the most beloved works of children’s literature, The Secret Garden, enchanted the entire world in a very short period of time. Utah Festival has a special relationship with the family of author Frances Hodgson Burnett. The insights of granddaughter Keri Wilt have made this production come alive as though newly born. When the musical debuted on Broadway in 1991, the entire creative staff was women, making it a landmark production, and ours is as well. Reprising our runaway success 10 years ago is Stephen Sondheim’s effervescent Into the Woods. Our production plays to the light and charm of the immortal folk tales and summons up smiles and laughter. This uniquely clever work of Sondheim and James Lapine in telling classic bedtime stories is at its best. Premiering in 1816 in Rome, Il Barbiere di Siviglia has become the most performed comic Italian opera in history. What’s not to love? Glorious bel canto singing, virtuosic orchestrations, hilarious hijinks together with sweet love stories! Based on the first in the trilogy about Figaro by Beaumarchais, we are preparing for Mozart’s setting of this series next season with Le Nozze di Figaro. In 1967, my father took me to see the original You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. We chuckled, laughed and guffawed and left the theater whistling its tunes. It took our minds away from the challenges of the day. We need that now more than ever. Anyone who has ever loved the Peanuts gang will adore it. This season marks our first foray into creating an original commissioned work: The Violet Hour, to be fully produced in 2019. We have great confidence in the creative team of Eric Price (lyrics) and Will Reynolds (music), whose work, Around the World, we presented in 2011. This musical is based on the 2003 Broadway play written by award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg. We will workshop The Violet Hour and present a staged reading for audience reactions and revisions. Utah Festival’s 2018 season presents a smorgasbord of delights. Don’t miss a single offering!

YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN SYNOPSIS ACT I Charlie Brown starts his day as usual, with thoughts of his friends swirling in his mind. He resolves to have a great day, but is already running late. Today everyone is calling him a “good man.” Charlie Brown is happy and hopeful as usual, but he nevertheless wonders if he really is what they say. He decides to find out how he can really become a good person. Lucy expresses her deep infatuation with Schroeder and asks him what he thinks of the idea of marriage. Schroeder is aware of her feelings, but remains aloof and focused as he plays his piano. Snoopy is lying on top of his doghouse, relaxing. He begins to daydream about being a wild jungle beast. Linus enters, holding his blanket and sucking his thumb. Lucy and Sally show up and mock him. Linus decides to abandon his blanket and move on, only to come running back to it in desperation. Charlie Brown appears, trying to get his unusually stubborn kite to soar in the air. He enjoys a few minutes of triumph before the notorious Kite-Eating Tree eats it up. After this trauma, Charlie Brown tries to find consolation in Valentine’s Day preparations, but of course that goes awry as well. He goes to see Lucy, who is at her psychiatrist booth. He tells her all the things he thinks of himself. Lucy clears it up by saying that Charlie Brown is unique the way he is.

It’s a beautiful day and Sally recruits Snoopy to chase rabbits. Coincidentally, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder and Charlie Brown are working on their Peter Rabbit book reports, each in his or her own way. Lucy is simply babbling to fit the 100-word requirement, Schroeder is doing a “comparison” between the book and Robin Hood, Linus is doing an over-complicated psychological analysis and Charlie Brown hasn’t even started out of worry. 15-minute intermission

ACT II Snoopy, in his World War I flying ace uniform climbs atop his doghouse. In his imagination, he is defeated by the Red Baron and returns to the aerodrome in France. Sally is clearly cross about a D her teacher gave her on her homework assignment. Charlie Brown returns, and, with his friends, plays the Little League Baseball Championship. Charlie Brown steps up to the plate, strikes out and loses the game. Lucy takes a crabbiness survey and Linus says her crabbiness rating is 95. After punching him, she realizes she is actually very crabby. That night, Charlie Brown is still sad he has not discovered what it means to be a “good man.” Then he discovers a pencil dropped by the Little Red-Haired Girl (his perennial crush). As he examines it, he discovers that “there are teeth-marks all over it… she nibbles her pencil…she’s HUMAN!” With that realization, he concludes that today hasn’t been so bad after all, and he’s done a lot of things that make him happy. As Charlie Brown expresses what makes him happy, everyone, touched by his love of life, begins to say what makes them happy as well. He realizes being a “good man” means trying your best and making the most of the things you’ve been given.

THE BARBER OF SEVILLE SYNOPSIS ACT I Count Almaviva, a nobleman, is in love with Rosina, the rich ward of Dr. Bartolo, a physician who plans to marry her himself. Almaviva, disguised as a poor student called Lindoro, serenades Rosina, assisted by a group of actors and musicians. Almaviva enlists the help of Figaro, a barber, who prides himself on his ability to manage the affairs of the city. They realize that they have, in fact, met before, and Almaviva explains why he is in Seville incognito. He is delighted to discover that Figaro is a general employee of the Bartolo family and enjoys easy access to the house. Rumors of Almaviva’s interest in Rosina have reached Bartolo’s ears and he decides he must waste no time in marrying her himself. He gives strict instructions to Berta, his maid, that while he is out no one should gain admittance to the house. Figaro persuades Almaviva to answer Rosina’s note, but she is interrupted before she can respond. Lured by the promise of money, Figaro devises a plan whereby Almaviva can gain access to the Bartolo household: he must pretend to be a drunken soldier lodging with Dr Bartolo. Figaro has finagled his way into Dr Bartolo’s home and managed a brief meeting with Rosina before Bartolo appears and expresses his annoyance at Figaro’s constant disrespect toward him. He questions Rosina about her meeting with Figaro and interrogates the servants. When Rosina’s singing teacher Don Basilio arrives, Bartolo brings him up to date on the situation with Rosina. Meanwhile, Figaro has overheard Bartolo and Basilio’s conversation. He starts to prepare the ground for Lindoro, but soon realizes that the wily Rosina is already ahead of him. Bartolo suspects Rosina of writing a letter to Lindoro. When she protests her innocence, he warns her not to trifle with him, advising her to find more plausible excuses for a man of his standing. Almaviva, now disguised as a soldier, arrives to take up his residence in Bartolo’s house. Rosina is of course delighted when he reveals that he is really her secret admirer. Bartolo’s annoyance at Almaviva’s drunken behavior causes such a row that the neighbors call the militia. The Count, however, narrowly escapes arrest, much to Bartolo’s annoyance.

20-minute intermission

ACT II Almaviva enters the house as Don Alonso, a music teacher who says he has come to give Rosina her music lesson in place of Don Basilio, who, he claims, has suddenly fallen ill. Don Alonso reveals that he has intercepted a note from Almaviva to Rosina. Bartolo fetches Rosina for her lesson. While Bartolo dozes, Rosina and Lindoro express their love and make plans to elope that night. Figaro arrives to shave Bartolo and manages to steal the key to Rosina’s balcony, luring Bartolo away from the music room by smashing a pile of crockery. Don Basilio unexpectedly appears, but Figaro quickly pays him off and Basilio withdraws. Figaro resumes shaving Bartolo, and tells Rosina of his plan for the lovers to make their escape. Bartolo, however, has not been entirely duped, and penetrates Almaviva’s disguise. The game is up for the lovers—albeit temporarily. When Bartolo discovers Basilio has never heard of Alonso, he decides to marry Rosina without delay. He confronts Rosina with a letter she addressed to Lindoro and catches her by surprise when he realizes Lindoro is clearly acting on Almaviva’s behalf. Berta, Bartolo’s servant, ruefully comments on the foolishness of old men wanting to marry young wives. Following a violent thunderstorm, Figaro and Almaviva climb into the house by way of a ladder and an open window. They are confronted by Rosina who is angry at being “used” by Lindoro—until she learns that he is in fact Almaviva and falls willingly into his arms. The three discover they are unable make their escape because Bartolo has removed the ladder. Basilio returns with the notary who is ready to marry Rosina to her guardian, but a bribe and threats easily persuade Basilio to witness instead the marriage of Rosina to Almaviva. Bartolo and the magistrate appear too late and he is obliged to acknowledge he has lost Rosina.

INTO THE WOODS SYNOPSIS ACT I Once upon a time, in a far-off kingdom, Cinderella wishes to attend the King’s Festival; Jack, a lonely and impoverished young man wishes his beloved cow, Milky-White, would give milk; the Baker and his Wife wish they could have a child and Little Red Riding Hood buys some bread from the Baker to take to her grandmother. An ugly old Witch visits the Baker and his Wife, revealing that the Baker’s father had stolen from the Witch’s garden to feed his pregnant wife, taking some of her magic beans. The Witch cursed the family, making them unable to have children, and imprisoned their daughter Rapunzel, the Baker’s sister. The Witch explains the spell may be reversed if the Baker and his Wife can find the four ingredients she needs for a certain potion within three days: “the cow as white as milk, the cape as red as blood, the hair as yellow as corn and the slipper pure as gold.” All begin journeys into the woods: Jack’s mother sends a reluctant Jack to the market to sell his beloved Milky-White; and Cinderella visits her mother’s grave and is given a beautiful dress and shoes to wear to the Festival. Little Red Riding Hood goes to her grandmother’s house and is stalked by a hungry wolf. The Baker’s Wife helps the Baker con the sad Jack into selling MilkyWhite for five beans, telling Jack that they’re magic. The Witch has locked Rapunzel, who has hair “as yellow as corn,” in a tower. When Little Red Riding Hood arrives at her grandmother’s house, she is swallowed by the Wolf. The Baker slays the Wolf, saving Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother, and she rewards him with the red cape. Jack’s mother is angry that Jack was duped and tosses the beans aside, not knowing they really are magic and will grow into a beanstalk that will reach the heavens. Meanwhile, Jack returns from the Giant’s home with five gold coins, hoping to repurchase MilkyWhite back from the Baker. Cinderella’s Prince and Rapunzel’s Prince sing of their endless longing for two unreachable women. The Wife overhears the Princes talk of Rapunzel’s hair and goes to the tower to steal a piece. Jack arrives with a hen that lays golden eggs and attempts to buy Milky-White, but she has died. The Baker’s Wife meets Cinderella running from the Prince, and almost succeeds in getting one of her golden shoes. As the second midnight begins, the Witch discovers that the Prince is visiting Rapunzel. The Witch angrily cuts off Rapunzel’s hair and banishes her to a desert, and her Prince is blinded while trying to escape. The Baker’s Wife runs into Cinderella again and attempts to trade her remaining bean for Cinderella’s one remaining slipper; Cinderella throws the bean aside but the Baker’s Wife succeeds in obtaining a slipper. They have now met all the Witch’s demands before the end of the third day. Jack’s mother reports that a dead Giant has fallen from the beanstalk. As the third midnight approaches, the Witch discovers the cow is not pure white—it had only been covered with flour. However, the Witch revives Milky-White, and the items are fed to her by the Baker and Wife. The curse is reversed, also breaking a spell that had afflicted the Witch, and she becomes youthful and beautiful, although she loses her magical powers. Cinderella’s Prince searches for the maiden whose foot will fit the golden slipper. Cinderella appears and becomes the Prince’s bride. Rapunzel finds her Prince and restores his vision with her tears. A beanstalk grows in the background. 20-minute intermission

ACT II Once upon a time, later, in the same far-off kingdom, everyone is living happily despite some minor inconveniences: the Baker and his Wife have their precious baby boy, Jack and his mother are rich and well-fed and Cinderella is living with Prince in the Palace.

24

utahfestival.org

Suddenly, everyone in the Kingdom is knocked over by an enormous crash, and enormous footprints have destroyed the Baker’s Home and the Witch’s Garden, leaving her only a few beans spared. The Baker and his Wife decide they must tell the Royal Family, and safely escort Little Red Riding Hood to her grandmother’s house after her mother was killed by the Giant. Jack decides that he must slay the Giant and Cinderella learns from her bird friends that her mother’s grave was disturbed and decides to investigate. While everyone else is drawn back into the woods for various reasons, the two Princes have grown bored with their marriages and now lust after two new princesses: Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. The Baker, his Wife and Little Red Riding Hood get lost in the woods and find the Witch, the Royal Family and the Steward, who reveal that the castle was destroyed by the Giant. The Giant wants to kill Jack in revenge for the death of the first Giant. Jack’s mother finds the group and defends her son, angering the Giant, and Cinderella’s Prince’s steward clubs Jack’s mother to make her be quiet, inadvertently killing her. The Royal Family leaves to hide in a hidden kingdom, the Witch decides to sacrifice Jack to the Widow and the Baker and his Wife decide they must find him first and split up to search. While Cinderella’s Prince seduces the Baker’s Wife, the Baker finds Cinderella and convinces her to join their group for safety. The Baker’s Wife realizes her error and decides to return to her happy life with the Baker and their son just moments before being accidentally crushed by the angry Giant. The Witch finds Jack, who had found the Baker’s Wife’s body, and wants to give him to the Giant’s widow. In his grief, the Baker leaves his child with the others. He is then visited by his father’s spirit, who convinces him to face his responsibilities. Everyone helps the Giant, and each of the previously deceased characters returns to describe the lesson they learned.

AMAZING GRACE: THE MUSICAL SYNOPSIS ACT I It is nearly Christmas, 1743, and John Newton returns to England after abandoning his education to seek adventure at sea. His childhood friend, Mary Catlett, is ecstatic about John’s return but also angry with him for running away with no word for 11 months. John’s father, Captain Newton, a wealthy slave-trader and head of the Royal Africa Company, arrives to hold an auction for the new slave cargo that has just arrived. Upon seeing his son on the docks, Captain Newton admonishes his son, takes away his mariner license, and orders his servant Thomas to take John home. Captain Newton is called away before he is able to hold the auction. In his absence, John begins the day’s auction, much to the chagrin of his friend and father’s assistant, Mr. Haweis. During the auction, an abolitionist group, determined to end slavery in England, begins a violent riot in order to free Captain Newton’s newly acquired slaves. One female slave is rescued with the help of Mary Catlett. John is humiliated at the failed auction and is tasked by Major Gray to find and retrieve the rescued slave. Later that day, John is denied entry to Mary’s home and sneaks in the back entrance to speak with her. Mary, disappointed by John’s behavior and bitter attitude, reminds him of who he was before his mother’s death: a composer, musician, and someone with a warm human heart. During John’s visit, Mary’s maidservant, Nanna, brings Mary a letter inviting Mary to join an abolitionist group fighting for freedom. Mary, wondering where her own maidservant is from, encourages Nanna to tell her how she became a slave. That night, at the Chatham Christmas Ball, Mary is romantically pursued by the aristocratic Major Gray. John, in his drunken and jealous state, causes a scene after one of Major Gray’s men did what John could not: find the lost slave from the auction earlier that day. After the ball, Mary meets with the abolitionists and agrees to help them in their plans to undermine the slave trade. She decides to begin a relationship with Major Gray to act as their spy. Meanwhile, John is kidnapped and forced into the Navy aboard the H.M.S. Harwich. When his father refuses to help him, John breaks all ties with him. Thomas attempts to intercede on John’s behalf, and Captain Newton sends him on the Navy ship as well. After courting Mary for three months, Major Gray proposes to her, promising her a life singing for the highest of English society, including his cousin Prince Frederick. Meanwhile, on the Harwich, John’s carelessness allows a French warship to attack and sink the ship. The crew is killed. Thomas and John are thrown from the ship and Thomas attempts to save his young charge. 20-minute intermission

ACT II John and Thomas are captured in Sierra Leone by African warriors and their Princess Peyai, a ruthless slave trader, who threatens to kill John. When John defies her he is punished with no food or water. Thankfully, John is saved from starvation by a young girl who is slave to the Princess, Yema. Once the Princess finds out who John’s father is, John strikes a deal with her to give her inside information about the slave trade and helps her to capture and sell rival tribes to slave traders. In England, Mary learns from Captain Newton that the Harwich has been lost with no survivors. Soon after, Princess Peyai sends a letter to Captain Newton, telling him that his son is alive and demanding a hefty ransom. Captain Newton prepares to sail to Sierra Leone to save his son and make amends. Before he takes leave, Mary gives him a letter to deliver to John. Back in Africa, the Princess pressures John to show his loyalty to her by forcing him to sell Thomas to a slave ship bound for Barbados. Thomas, forever loyal to John, confronts him and questions his abhorrent behavior, forcing him to look at the person he has become.

AMAZING GRACE: THE MUSICAL Major Gray, having learned that Mary plans to speak against slavery in front of Prince Frederick at the Christmas concert at court, imprisons Nanna and threatens to harm her if Mary does anything foolish. Nanna tells Mary to speak up against slavery in front of the Prince regardless of the consequences. Captain Newton reaches Africa to pay the ransom for John, but a gunfight erupts. Peyai is killed and Captain Newton is gravely wounded. Before his death, Captain Newton gives his son the letter that Mary has written and passes the ship into his care. John assumes the role of Captain of his father’s ship and reads Mary’s letter. His burdened heart is confronted by visions of the many lives he has destroyed. Upon asking for God’s forgiveness the ship is thrown into a terrible storm. The ship miraculously survives the night and John orders the ship be turned toward Barbados to find and free Thomas and as many slaves as he can in the process. Upon finding Thomas, whose real name is Pakuteh, John begs forgiveness and asks Pakuteh to help him in fighting to end slavery. Pakuteh agrees and he and John head back to England. At the Christmas Ball, Mary delivers her impassioned speech to a shocked Major Gray. The Prince, however, is compassionate and when John arrives to support her, he demotes Major Gray and allows John and Mary to continue their fight for freedom. Yema, the young slave girl John has brought with him to England, is reunited with her mother, Mary’s maidservant Nanna. Mary and John eventually marry and John goes on to write hundreds of hymns about his change of heart, including the beloved Amazing Grace.

THE SECRET GARDEN SYNOPSIS ACT I Mary Lennox, a 10-year-old English girl living in India, dreams of English nursery rhymes and Hindi chants. She awakens to learn that her parents and nearly everyone she knew in India have died of cholera. Found by survivors of the epidemic, Mary is sent to England to live with her only remaining relation, her uncle, Archibald Craven. The housekeeper, Mrs. Medlock, coldly delivers Mary to Yorkshire and her uncle’s imposing and secluded manor house, Misselthwaite. (Throughout the show, the spirits of characters past, known as “the dreamers,” serve as narrators and Greek chorus for the action.) Archibald Craven, a hunchback, is still overcome by grief surrounding the tragic death of his young wife, Lily. The management of the haunted household is largely left to Archibald’s brother, Doctor Neville Craven. Mary has difficulty sleeping and wanders the halls as she and Archibald both mourn their losses. The next morning, Mary meets Martha, a young Yorkshire chambermaid who encourages Mary to go play outside by telling her about the surrounding moorland and grounds, in particular, a secret (hidden) garden. Meanwhile, Archibald remains submerged in his memories of Lily, while ghosts waltz to Lily and Archibald’s serenading. Mary explores the garden, laid out in mazelike Victorian fashion, as do Ben Weatherstaff, an old gardener, Martha, and Martha’s brother Dickon, each with a different agenda. Ben tells Mary the secret garden has been locked since Lily’s death because of its painful reminders of the tragedy. Dickon invokes the spring in a rustic, druid-like fashion; he claims to converse with animals and teaches Mary to speak the Yorkshire dialect to a magical English robin. Mary explains to Dickon her need for a place of her own and the Robin leads Mary to find the key to the garden, but does not show Mary the door. Archibald has a formal meeting with his niece, who asks him for a bit of earth to plant a garden of her own. He is startled and compares her to Lily for their shared horticultural interests. Archibald and his brother Neville both notice that Mary also physically resembles her aunt, with whom both men were in love. Mary again hears someone crying, but this time she locates the source: her cousin Colin, who has been confined to bed since his birth when his mother Lily died. He has been in bed almost his entire life because his father feared Colin was also cursed to become a hunchback. Colin confides in his cousin his dreams of a round-shouldered man who comes to him at night and reads to him from his book of all that’s good and true. However, just as it seems they have become friends, Neville and Mrs. Medlock burst in and dismiss Mary angrily, telling her she is never to see Colin again. As the accompanying storm reaches its peak, Mary runs outside and finds the door to the garden. 20-minute intermission

THE SECRET GARDEN ACT II Archibald relates a dream to Neville about seeing Lily and Mary together in the garden. Neville’s dreams are darker: Recalling his unrequited love for Lily, Neville believes Archibald should leave Misselthwaite entirely to him. The two brothers’ musings are interwoven with ghostly echoes of old arguments between Lily and her sister Rose (Mary’s mother) about Archibald’s suitability as a prospective husband and father. At Neville’s urging, Archibald leaves for Paris, pausing only to read a fairytale to Colin as the boy sleeps. The garden is much like Archibald and Mary herself, neglected and half-wild. Mary asks Dickon for help with the garden, which appears dead. Dickon explains it is probably just dormant and that “somewhere there’s a single streak of green inside it.” Inside the Manor, Colin throws a tantrum out of fear for his future. Mary enters and reveals that Colin’s spine is perfectly fine and tells Colin about the discovered garden. Colin is scared to go outside until encouraged by a vision of his mother. At night, Mary, Dickon, and Martha clandestinely bring Colin to the garden in a wheelchair. The charms of the garden, the exercise, and fresh air begin to make Colin well. Back in the house, Mary faces Neville as he threatens to send her away to boarding school. Martha tells Mary she must hold on. Mary writes to Archibald urging him to come home. In Paris, Archibald feels tortured and on the brink of despair. At a pivotal moment, Lily’s ghost appears, offers Archibald redemption and invites his return to the garden at Misselthwaite. Upon entering the garden, Archibald finds Colin completely healthy and pushing Mary in the wheelchair as he walks through the door. Archibald, a changed man, accepts Mary as his own, and the healing of the world (as well as the beings in it), is complete.

oh BEHAVE Utah Festival Etiquette and Policies We want every guest to have the best time ever. To make sure we’re one big happy family, please obey these golden rules: 1. No crinkling. We know those hidden Bluebird chocolates are calling your name, but please don’t open the bag during the performance. If you might possibly need a lozenge, breath mint, or whatever, please unwrap it before the show begins. 2. Cell phones. Please turn them off. Even on silent, they will interfere with the sound system. 3. Texting. Your phone does not possess secret powers that make the screen invisible to everyone but you. Please don’t annoy or distract your neighbors. Feel free to tweet the universe about your amazing Utah Festival experience, but please do it during intermission or after the show. 4. Talking. This theatre has amazing acoustics and 1,106 other people can hear every word you say. The performance begins when the music starts, not when the curtain goes up. Show the orchestra some love—the overture is their time to shine. 5. Kids. We love them, but babes-in-arms and children under 5 are not allowed. This stuff is just too cool for them. Also, take your other youngsters (or spouse, etc.) out if they disturb the peace. 6. Tardiness. We’d love to hold the curtain for you, but if you’re late, we will seat you at intermission or at the first appropriate interval. In the meantime, relax and watch the show on the TV in the lobby, which is better than missing the whole thing. Policies: Boring but Necessary Backstage. Don’t go backstage, on stage, or in the theatre annex. Blankets. Because of our innovative cooling system we cannot precisely control the

temperature, so you might want to dress in layers. Light blankets are available free of charge on a first-come basis in the theatre lobby. Cameras and Recorders. Both are strictly prohibited without written permission. Exchange Policy. Tickets may be exchanged at least 48 hours in advance for another performance of the same production. No exchanges for a different production or if the performance date has passed. Exchanges are free for series subscribers; non-subscribers pay $2 per ticket. Free Parking is available at Logan High School (on 100 South between 100 and 200 West) and on the corner of Center Street and 100 West. Greet the Artists. Meet our company members after each performance outside at the Café des Artistes, on the south side of the theatre (when you’re facing the stage, head out the left-hand door). Hearing Devices. Borrow a sound enhancement headset free of charge on a first-come basis in the theatre lobby. Informances. Informal discussions take place in the theatre one hour before every performance. Learn plot and background details about each production. Refreshments. No refreshments are allowed in the theatre except bottled water, which you should be careful not to drop, slurp, or slosh. Refund Policy. There are no refunds. Smoking. No smoking. Wheelchair Seating is available. When ordering tickets, please advise the box office that you have a wheelchair. Arrive 30 minutes before curtain time to obtain assistance from the House Manager. Easy access is on the south side of the theatre (out the left door if you’re inside facing the stage). Drop off by the Café des Artistes and head to your left between the mansion and the theatre. An usher will be waiting at the door to help you.
