Cardinal Stritch University announces new show to promote local entrepreneurs
On Thursday, December 15, 2016 Cardinal Stritch University announced the premier of "Project Pitch It," a show that will promote entrepreneurship in Wisconsin. The first episode will air on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. on WISN-TV (Channel 12). For many, finishing their education is a common New Year's resolution. On Friday, December 16, 2016, Doris Newby Armstrong fulfilled her lifelong dream of finishing her education. Not only did she graduate in the first class, but she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major. On Wednesday, December 14, 2016 African American Ladies Empowered to Grow Opportunities (A-LEGO) hosted its second annual Madame C.J. Walker Savings Club for Children. The event was hosted at Holy Redeemer Institutional Church of God in Christ, 3500 West Mother Daniels Way. This unique holiday event was co-sponsored by several banks, credit unions and saving institutions to assist children in the city on how to open savings accounts and save money for future education and endeavors. As the children save, the founds will be matched. As a special surprise Santa Claus made an appearance to visit with all the children at the event.
