Eugene attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and he sincerely enjoyed studying the bible up until his last day of life. Eugene was a hardworking man. He worked at Zelma Redd Lumber Yard in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, and he also worked at Swift chemical company in Skokie, Illinois. He retired and enjoyed his final days of living with his daughter, Gail Cuffie and his granddaughter, Areehma Daniels. Eugene enjoyed spending time with his family, and with his friends at the Alexian Village adult center. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, listening to the Blues and picnics in the park. He lived the simple life. Eugene Bishop departed this life on January 23, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Fannie Bishop; brother, Leroy Bishop; sister, Flora Mae Hanes; Rosemary Williams, Lena Mae Daniels and Viola Stallings. Eugene leaves to cherish his memory: his ex-wife, Earnestine Thompson; daughters, Gail Cuffie, Amanda Hogans, Jessie Martin, Sheila Thompson and Dedre Bishop; brothers, Walter, David and Ray Bishop, all of Mississippi; sisters, Helen Wilson of Texas and Betsy Bishop of Mississippi; 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
