Obituary

Syphrona“Frona” Kane was born on June 15, 1921

in Verona, Mississippi to the union of Eddie and Eliza Bartlett. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Center Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Frona was united in holy matrimony to James Kane. She was a homemaker and mother for the rest of her life. She became a founding member of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Fred L. Crouther. Syphrona Kane departed this life on March 29, 2016 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kane and her only son, Troy Jarrett. Frona leaves to cherish her memory: five daughters, Wanda McCain, Stephanie Kane, Linzy “Ruth” Dorsey, Latonja (Richard) Davis and Peal Mays; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two nieces, Lisa Williamson and Linda Bramlett; two special nieces, Annette Connors and Bennie Johnson; four nephews and a host of other family and friends.
