The Round Square Conference is an extension to the Milton Abbey School philosophy. We recognise that each student is an individual. Therefore, our mission is to develop active and creative minds, who have a sense of understanding and compassion for others. Our conference programme does not shy away from this and through the encouragement of dedicated teachers, coaches and pastoral staff we will seek to make your time with us a fulfilling and above all an enjoyable experience. Milton Abbey School's Round Square conference for 12-14 year-olds offers a week-long experience aimed at developing young leaders through activities like sailing, mountain biking, and farming. Students will enjoy team sports, beach and water sports, and evening events such as a music competition and a disco. Creative projects in farming, fashion, and design workshops focus on sustainability The programme fosters teamwork and leadership in an idyllic, rural setting, with trips to London to see the Science Museum and the London Eye.

Milton Abbey School has a range of activities for children ranging from arts and crafts to sport. It is very structured in parts and very free in others. We try to blend education based learning in outdoor leadership during the day with extra curricular activities in the evening.
The venue is located just outside the picturesque village of Milton Abbas in Dorset, approximately 30 miles south west of Salisbury, midway between the towns of Blandford and Dorchester.
The nearest train stations include Dorchester, Salisbury and Gillingham and trains from these stations travel direct to London Waterloo, where connections are available to Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
Nearer airports in the South West include Bournemouth, Southampton, Bristol and Exeter.
Extensive free parking for cars, coaches or other large vehicles is available on site.

Residential Houses
New Barn Theatre
With seating for up to 300 people, our modern auditorium has a data projector, wi-fi and toilet facilities. The theatre is an appropriate space for converting into a cinema for films, sporting events and pupil shows and assemblies.
Each house can accommodate students in single and shared dorms and will be run by Milton Abbey staff. Each house comes complete with a common room for relaxation during down time and a kitchen facility.
Specialist Classrooms
Sport Facilities
Our indoor sports facilities include a swimming pool, fitness gym, sports hall, golf simulator room and indoor turbo zone for indoor bike riding. You will have the opportunity to use the tennis courts, football pitches and golf course as part of our evening activities programme. Our school has one of the best maintained and visually stunning outdoor facilities in the South West of England.
We have a wide range of specialist classrooms and workshops onsite including:
Hospitality kitchens - learn to bake, create your own pizza and three course meal
Design and Technology - learn to make furniture and solve problems using modern technology and machines
Fashion - learn to design, create and wear your own pieces.
Meals
While you are with us, you will have access to an excellent range of delicious food. Breakfast, lunch and supper are served in the school’s Abbot’s Hall. There are also snacks available in our tuck shop in addition to refreshment available in the house kitchens.
You will be provided with packed lunches when you travel offsite on day trips.
OUR ACTIVITIES
Adventure
You will have the opportunity to take part in a range of outdoor sports activities during the day. Each activity will teach you about the environment and help to overcome fears while learning something new.
Creative
Discover your creative side by getting involved in art workshops including watercolours and sketching, fashion design, film and TV, design technology and much more.
Evening Fun
Evening activities start at 19:00 after supper. We have organised activities available every evening including quizzes, games of golf, swimming, movie nights, gym sessions and much more.
House Music
House music is a great tradition at Milton Abbey School All houses are given a film from ‘Disney’ and are encouraged to practice and perform one of their songs at the end of the week.
SHAPEOFTHEDAY
Experience the ultimate learning adventure at the Milton Abbey Round Square Conference! Our program blends engaging educational sessions with thrilling excursions to iconic English landmarks. Enjoy a variety of fun evening and weekend activities, creating the perfect balance of education and entertainment.
Tripsand Excursions
Students will have the opportunity to go and visit London to explore famous attractions including the London Eye and one of our wonderful museums.
You will also have the chance to visit the famous Jurassic coast with a trip to the beach for water sports!
