Steve Koehler, Lloyd Steve returns to The Rep as Lloyd: a role he has performed with his buddy Doug over 1000 times all over the Midwest since 2003 including for Wisconsin Public Television. Other credits include The Other Place (Ian) with Forward Theatre; Pump Boys and Dinettes (Jackson) with The Fireside; Lend Me A Tenor (Tito Merelli) with Milwaukee Chamber Theatre; The Sound of Music (Captain Von Trapp) with Skylight Music Theatre; and Victory Farm (Wolfgang) with Northern Sky Theatre. Steve teaches physics and acting at Milwaukee High School of the Arts. He and his wife Julie-Honey have been blessed with two boys—Alexander Steven (20) and Austin Max (18).

Doug Mancheski, Marvin Doug is delighted to return to the Stackner Cabaret for this run of Guys on Ice. It was back in the 1998/99 Rep season, that Guys on Ice premiered at the Stackner Cabaret. He co-starred then with Fred Alley, the book and lyric writer for the show. He has performed with many theaters in Wisconsin, including Northern Sky Theatre, a theater he has been with for several years. Favorite shows there include Lumberjacks in Love, The Bachelors, Loose Lips Sink Ships, Windjammers, and many others. He trained with the maestros of improvisation, Paul Sills and Mike Nichols; and graduated from NYU’s MFA professional actor training program. Doug and his co-star, Steve Koehler, have formed Go Fish Productions (guysonice.net), producing Guys On Ice around the state.
- Guys On Ice5 Bo Johnson, Ernie Guys on Ice is Bo’s second appearance as an actor for The Rep. He was here last year as part of The Doyle & Debbie Show. But you may have seen him on the stages of many of Milwaukee’s other professional theatres. Over the course of many years, he has worked as an actor and technician for Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Next Act Theatre, Skylight Music Theatre, ComedySportz, First Stage Children’s Theater, The Dead Alewives, Theatre X, Theatre Gigante, Milwaukee Public Theatre, In Tandem Theater, Alchemist Theatre, and American Folklore Theatre. Recently he cofounded a new company, Umbrella Group Milwaukee. This spring he will be back at First Stage in Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse. Bring the kids.

James Maronek, Scenic Designer James has designed scenery for many Northern Sky productions, as well as their new permanent stage. Also in Fish Creek, he has designed numerous sets for the Peninsula Players, helped to replace their theatre, and he is on their Board of Directors. Otherwise, he operates his fine art gallery at Silver Poplar Studios in Ellison Bay, as well as, with his wife Carole, cottage rentals on their Russian estate and gardens. His credits, including The Goodman Theatre in Chicago, number over 250 designs, across the USA and internationally. He is Professor Emeritus of The Theatre School of DePaul University. Neen Rock, Costume Designer For Northern Sky Theater, previously known as American Folklore Theatre, Neen has designed and constructed costumes, sets and props for numerous shows, including Guys on Ice and Lumberjacks in Love. She has served as Northern Sky’s Production Stage Manager for their summer and fall seasons since that position was created. In Northern Sky’s offseason, Neen resides in Madison where she works as a freelance stage manager and a member of IATSE Local 251. Neen wishes to thank her parents, family and Brian for their constant love and support.
Over the last decade, Mr. Fassl has consumed mass quantities of electricity at The Milwaukee Ballet, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, First Stage Children’s Theatre, American Players Theatre, Peninsula Players, Door Shakespeare, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Skylight Music Theatre, Renaissance Theaterworks, Next Act Theatre, American Folklore Theatre, Forward Theatre Company, Children’s Theatre of Madison, The Pearl Theatre Company and many others.

James Kaplan, Composer/Music Director James is thrilled to return to the Milwaukee Rep stage, where he has appeared in Lumberjacks in Love, The Bachelors, and The One That Got Away, along with several iterations of Guys on Ice. Besides these collaborations with the late Fred Alley, James also endeavored with Jacinda Duffin and Laurie Flanigan-Hegge to create Loose Lips Sink Ships, which just completed a run at Marquette University. With Laurie Flanigan-Hegge, James co-authored See Jane Vote, for Door County’s Northern Sky Theater. His music has been heard in Belgians in Heaven, Bone Dance, Northern Lights, Fool Me Once, and Packer Fans from Outer Space. He also conceived and created musical arrangements for two other Stackner shows, Old Friends: The Music of Paul Simon, and Goodnight Irene: The Music of the Weavers.
Jeffrey first worked with The Rep as a performer in Shine on Harvest Moon and A Woman in Mind before directing Goodnight Irene, Guys on Ice, Old Friends, Lumberjacks in Love, The Bachelors, and The One That Got Away. He has been Artistic Director for Northern Sky Theater since 1993. He has worked on over fifty original productions with Northern Sky since 1991, including the collaboration with The Rep on Guys on Ice, first presented in 1998. Mr. Herbst has an MFA in Acting from the Asolo Conservatory and has performed on and off Broadway, as well as at regional theaters throughout the United States.

Christian Gero, Sound Designer Milwaukee: Boeing Boeing (Milw. Chamber Theatre). JC Clementz, Casting Director JC is The Rep’s Artistic Associate: Casting Director & Director of the Emerging Professional Residency now in his fifth season with Milwaukee Repertory Theater. In addition to casting over 25 productions here, JC has directed The Doyle and Debbie Show and Forever Plaid in the Stackner Cabaret where he will direct The Devil’s Music: The Life and Blues of Bessie Smith later this season. Prior to his time in Milwaukee, JC traveled throughout Europe as the Assistant Stage Manager for New York Harlem Productions’ international tour of Porgy and Bess, and spent four summers working at Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts in the mountains of Colorado. JC holds an MFA in Directing from Western Illinois University. Daniel J. Hanson, Stage Manager Dan is thrilled to be making his Milwaukee Rep debut. Recent stage management credits include: Tosca (Skylight Music Theatre); The Addams Family, Avenue Q, The Color Purple Chicago, IL).
