Scott Cook Musician
Scott is excited to return to Milwaukee Rep for his third production. He has worked internationally, playing eighteen seasons and as a member of the AIMS Orchestra in Graz, Austria and in concerts and recordings in England with members of the Swingle Singers. In Milwaukee he has played dozens of national Broadway show tours as well as tours with The Who, Rod Stewart, Kansas, The Eagles and Mannheim Steamroller, among many others. Scott is currently the director of the Cello Institute of Milwaukee and was a longtime faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His former students can be found in orchestras and teaching positions throughout the world.

Jason Robert Brown Book, Music & Lyrics
Jason is best known for his scores to several of the most renowned musicals of our time including the 1995 song cycle Songs For A New World and the generation-defining The Last Five Years. Jason has written nine full-length musicals including Parade, written with Alfred Uhry and directed by Harold Prince, which garnered Jason the Tony Award for Original Score; and The Bridges of Madison County, a musical adapted with Marsha Norman from the bestselling novel, for which Jason received two Tony Awards (for Best Score and Orchestrations). His other musicals are Honeymoon in Vegas, 13 (which became a Netflix film in 2022), and Mr. Saturday Night, written with Amanda Green and starring Billy Crystal and most recently The Connector. Richard LaGravenese’s film of The Last Five Years was released in 2015. Parade has been the subject of two major revivals: the first, directed by Rob Ashford, at London’s Donmar Warehouse and then at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles; and the second, Michael Arden’s acclaimed Tony
Award-winning Best Revival of a Musical, starring Ben Platt and Micaela Diamond. In 2017, Jason was the arranger and music supervisor for “Prince of Broadway,” a celebration of the work of his mentor, Harold Prince. He has contributed music to the hit Nickelodeon television series, “The Wonder Pets,” as well as “Sesame Street.” Jason spent ten years teaching at the USC School of Dramatic Arts, and has also taught at Harvard University, Princeton University and Emerson College. Future projects include an adaptation of Lilian Lee’s “Farewell My Concubine,” created with Kenneth Lin and Moisés Kaufman; and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, a new musical written with Taylor Mac based on John Berendt’s book and directed by Rob Ashford, which premiered last summer at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre. Jason is the winner of the 2018 Louis Auchincloss Prize, the 2002 Kleban Award for Outstanding Lyrics and the 1996 Gilman & Gonzalez-Falla Foundation Award for Musical Theatre. Jason’s songs, including the cabaret standard “Stars and the Moon,” have been performed and recorded by Ariana Grande, Jennifer Nettles, Brandi Carlile, Audra McDonald, Kristin Chenoweth, Billy Porter, Betty Buckley, Renée Fleming, Jon Hendricks and many others. Jason studied composition at the Eastman School of Music. He lives with his wife, composer Georgia Stitt, and their daughters in Nyack, New York. Kelley is jazzed to be back directing in the Stackner Cabaret! She has directed/choreographed several productions in the Stackner Cabaret and was most recently seen in The Coast Starlight earlier this season. Nicholas comes from Chicago and Florida but now calls Milwaukee home. He is the former Costume Director at Milwaukee Rep. Nicholas had spent the past 15 years living in sunny southwest Florida at Venice Theatre as resident designer/shop manager. He was previously the resident designer/ shop manager with the Manatee Players at Riverfront Theatre in Bradenton, FL, as well as resident designer for RWS & Associates in NYC. Nicholas holds an associate degree from International Fine Arts College in Miami, FL and a BFA from Illinois State University. He holds numerous awards in costume design and construction at national and state levels including National Outstanding Best Costume Designer at the AACT. Artistic Director
Mark is an award-winning international theater director whose work has appeared in over 100 major theaters throughout Europe and the United States. He began his tenure as Artistic Director with the 2010/11
Season by bringing musicals to the mainstage, starting a tradition that is now the highlight of every season. Mark has directed over 30 productions at Milwaukee Rep including World and American Premieres, his own adaptation of the current A Christmas Carol and all but two mainstage musicals including Run Bambi Run, Titanic the Musical, West Side Story and Dreamgirls. Prior to joining Milwaukee Rep, Mark served as an Associate Artistic Director for several UK theater companies, most notably, Artistic Director for the award-winning Derby Playhouse in the UK where he directed over 40 productions. He has been nominated for an Olivier Award and several UK Theatre Awards, and has won three Barrymore Awards in Philadelphia. He created and directed the West End and UK National Tour of Soul Train. Mark is currently working with Ayad Akhtar on adapting his critically acclaimed novel American Dervish for the stage to make its World Premiere in an upcoming season.

Chad joined Milwaukee Rep in 2013. Since, the theater has produced more than 130 productions, raised nearly $100 million through 3 capital campaigns, launched a new A Christmas Carol and the Jack Lewis New Play Development Program, began construction on the Associated Bank Theater Center and quadrupled net assets operating without a deficit for 11 years. Bauman has been named Top 40 under 40 by the Milwaukee Business Journal, a Champion of the Hispanic Community by the United Community Center, and a notable LGBTQ Executive and NonProfit CEO of the Year by Milwaukee BizTimes. He is a doctoral student in Organizational Leadership at UNC Chapel Hill and a graduate of Brown University’s Leadership Coaching Program, Harvard Business School’s Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management Program, and CalArt’s MFA Producing Program.
