BIOS Michael Ingersoll Executive Producer, Artists Lounge Live

Chuck Larkin Piano/Conductor (May 5 - 15)

Michael is an all-around entertainer with experience as a producer, actor, writer, and touring recording artist. Ingersoll is the Executive Producer of Chicago-based production company Artists Lounge Live, creating and presenting concerts nationwide. He co-founded the company with wife Angela Ingersoll. As an actor, he starred as Nick Massi of the Four Seasons in Jersey Boys, originating the Broadway tour productions in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Following his 1300-performance stint in Jersey Boys, Ingersoll created retro-rock vocal group Under the Streetlamp. He toured internationally with the quartet, recording four PBS concert specials and five albums. Other television appearances include The Tonight Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Primetime Emmy Awards, PBS’ Capitol Fourth, Access Hollywood, Chicago Fire, and The Beast; as well as co-producing three Under the Streetlamp PBS specials and executive producing the Emmy-nominated Get Happy: Angela Ingersoll Sings Judy Garland. Chuck is an award-winning pianist, music director, conductor, composer, and cabaret artist. Larkin spent seven years as Associate Conductor and Keyboard player for the Broadway hit Jersey Boys in both the Broadway in Chicago and National Tour companies. Music Director credits include world premieres of Mr Dickens’ Hat, Shining Lives, and River’s End; Chicago productions of Far From Home, Sentimental Journey: A Musical Tale of Love and War, A Civil War Christmas, and At Wit’s End; as well as multiple seasons at American Folklore Theatre in Door County, Wisconsin. A renowned Cabaret artist, Larkin is a regular at Chicago’s Davenport’s, Venus Cabaret, and countless other club venues. He also toured extensively with Franc D’Ambrosio’s Broadway Cabaret series. As a composer and lyricist, his credits include Hen Lake, Sophie’s Masterpiece, and the award-winning River’s End. An evening of his songs, Keep Me In Love, earned an After Dark Award for Chicago’s Number 1 Cabaret Show. Larkin has performed his original work at the Chicago Humanities Festival, New York’s ASCAP/MAC songwriter showcase, and onstage at Carnegie Hall in “Now and Then,” a salute to contemporary songwriters.

Jeremy Kahn Piano/Conductor (May 15 - July 1) Jeremy is a distinguished Chicago pianist, dividing his time between jazz venues, pit orchestras, and recording and teaching studios. He has performed with many musical luminaries including Dizzy Gillespie, Aretha Franklin, Mary Wilson, Madonna, Joni Mitchell, Branford Marsalis, Chet Atkins, Max Roach, Ray Brown, Tito Puente, Barbara Cook, and Leslie Uggams. Theatre credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (w. Donny Osmond), Cinderella (w. Eartha Kitt), Fiddler On the Roof (w. Theodore Bikel), Spamalot (w. He currently teaches and performs for the Milwaukee Jazz Institute. Hamann has been heard by millions over the last twenty years on the National Public Radio Show “Michael Feldman’s Whad’Ya Know?.” He has performed throughout the U.S and toured internationally with a who’s who of jazz legends that include Charles McPherson, Benny Golson, Phil Woods, Ben Sidran, Frank Morgan, Ray Appleton, Peter Bernstein, Brian Lynch, David Hazeltine, Eric Alexander and Cheyenne Jackson. Charles Heath Percussion Charles “Rick” Heath IV is a world renowned drummer, educator, and producer who has toured and recorded with jazz legend Ramsey Lewis, Grammy and Tony Award winning songstress Dee Dee Bridgewater, Phillip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire, and many others. He also served as the resident drummer with the National Tour of Oprah Winfrey and Quincy Jones’ production of The Color Purple. As an educator, Heath is an adjunct professor at Columbia College and the University of Illinois (circle campus), as well as the founder of the Heath School of Music for Chicago’s inner-city students aged 5-18. Charles Heath is constantly breaking barriers as a humanitarian and musician, leading with first class professionalism and style. charlesrickheath.net Ryan Bennett Percussion Alternate As a drummer, percussionist, and teacher in the Chicago area, Ryan Bennett is an in-demand performer in many styles of music. He played drums in the hit Broadway show Jersey Boys, both the Broadway in Chicago production and National Touring company. Other performances of note include shows with pop songstress Tori Amos, trumpeter Randy Brecker, and guitarist John Abercrombie. Bennett has performed at clubs and festival venues at home and abroad and has toured extensively throughout the US. He has appeared on three PBS specials playing drumset, hand percussion, and orchestral percussion. Additionally, Ryan Bennett is an accomplished and sought-after videographer and photographer who specializes in capturing live performance.

Bob is an eclectic pianist, keyboardist, and composer who has appeared with Ravinia Pops Orchestra, Milwaukee Pops Orchestra, Chicago Chamber Musicians, and Metropolitan Jazz Octet. He has worked in pit orchestras for 38 years including Disney’s The Lion King (Associate Conductor), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Associate Conductor), The Color Purple, Cats, Fosse, War Paint, The Ballad of Little Jo and The Visit. Sutter has played with Henry Mancini, Patti LaBelle, Anita Baker, and recorded hundreds of commercial jingles. Film credits include Curly Sue (hand double for Jim Belushi) and My Best Friend’s Wedding. Recordings include his eponymous collection of original compositions and covers which can be streamed at bobsutter.bandcamp.com.

Krista is delighted to return to Milwaukee Rep this season. She is a Milwaukee-based stage manager and 2019 graduate of Marquette University. Josh Hart Production Coordinator Josh is delighted to return to the Milwaukee Rep team! After graduating from the University of Chicago, he moved to Milwaukee and worked at Milwaukee Rep for two seasons as a stage management resident and fellow. Some of his favorite recent shows include Hedwig and the Angry Inch, A Christmas Carol and Piano Men at Milwaukee Rep and Stew at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre. As always, he sends all of his love and gratitude to Amaris, Stephan, Rufio, Zippy and Billina. Aaron Lichamer Lighting Designer Based out of Chicago/Milwaukee, Aaron is the current Lighting & Video Director for Milwaukee Repertory Theater. He has worked extensively throughout the Midwest, and is glad to have had the opportunity to design for Milwaukee Rep. He holds a BFA in Lighting Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 20

Mark Clements Artistic Director Mark is an award-winning international theater director whose work has appeared in over 100 major theaters throughout Europe and the United States. He began his tenure as Artistic Director with the 2010/11 Season by bringing musicals to the mainstage, starting a tradition that is now the highlight of every season. Milwaukee Rep directing credits include the world premieres of One House Over, his own adaptation of the current A Christmas Carol, Five Presidents and American Song. Also directed for Milwaukee Rep: Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol, Things I Know To Be True (American Premiere), Junk, The Glass Menagerie, Of Mice and Men, Othello, Death of a Salesman, The History of Invulnerability, End of the Rainbow, Clybourne Park and Bombshells. Some of his New York and international work includes Speaking in Tongues, The Milliner and Blunt Speaking, in addition to creating and directing the West End and UK National Tour of Soul Train. Prior to joining Milwaukee Rep, Mark served as an Associate Artistic Director for several UK theater companies, most notably, Artistic Director for the award-winning Derby Playhouse in the UK from 1992-2002, where he directed over 40 productions. He has been nominated for an Olivier Award and several UK Theatre Awards, and has


#WeRepMilwaukee won three Barrymore Awards from his time at Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. Mark is currently working with Ayad Akhtar on adapting his critically acclaimed novel American Dervish for the stage to make its world premiere at Milwaukee Rep in an upcoming season. Chad Bauman Executive Director Now in his ninth season at Milwaukee Rep, under Chad’s guidance the theater has grown significantly from a $9M to $14M organization. He’s completed two capital campaigns, one to remodel and expand the Stackner Cabaret and the other to build the endowment, launch the John (Jack) D. Lewis New Play Development Program, create a new A Christmas Carol and deepen the theater’s community engagement programs. Through his efforts, the theater has been awarded UPAF’s Good Steward Award six times and became the only performing arts organization in Wisconsin with a 4-star rating

from Charity Navigator. Previously he was the Associate Executive Director at Arena Stage in Washington, DC, where he was instrumental in opening the Mead Center for American Theater, a 200,000 square feet, performing arts complex dedicated to American voices and playwrights. While at Arena Stage, he worked on the Broadway transfers of Next to Normal (Pulitzer Prize; Tony Award), Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Tony Award), Wishful Drinking starring Carrie Fisher, in addition to the world premieres of Marcus Gardley’s Every Tongue Confess starring Phylicia Rashad and Red Hot Patriot starring Kathleen Turner. He has been named to Milwaukee Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 and a “Friend of the Hispanic Community” by the United Community Center. He currently serves as the President of the Milwaukee Arts Partners, Vice President of the Board of Pathways High School, Treasurer of Imagine MKE and Coordinator for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion for AFS Student Exchange Programs. Bauman is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management program with a Master of Fine Arts in producing from the CalArts. He and his husband Justin live in Whitefish Bay.
