Christina’s plays have been produced both nationally and internationally at the Kennedy Center, Arena Stage, South Coast Repertory, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Tokyo International Arts Festival, and The Market Theatre in South Africa to name a few. She is a two-time recipient of a McKnight Fellowship in Playwriting and a Jerome Fellowship from the Playwrights’ Center. She has received commissions from The Guthrie Theater, Ensemble Studio Theatre/Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, and the Kennedy Center among many others. Her plays are published by Dramatic Publishing, PlayScripts, Inc., and Oberon Books. She was a writer/producer on HBO’s Emmy- Award winning series Westworld and was nominated for the 2021 Writer’s Guild of America Award for her work on the critically acclaimed, Amazon series Them and was a nominee for an Emmy Award on the Netflix series Sweet Tooth. A graduate of the University of Southern California and MFA in Playwriting from The UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, she is currently a member

Malkia Stampley Director/Co-Music Director

Malkia is from Milwaukee, attended Marquette University for Theater Arts, and was a Milwaukee Rep Acting Intern during the 2005/2006 Season. Previous Milwaukee Rep credits: directing Nunsense and acting in The Color Purple, Dreamgirls, A Christmas Carol and Sueno. Malkia has been Goodman Theatre’s BOLD Artistic Producer since 2021. Awards: Ms. Watson (co-librettist, comp./arr, primary lyricist, orchestrator, MD) and Ms. Nedra Dixon (co-librettists) are recipients of the Opera America New Works IDEA Grant 2021-22 for folk opera entitled A God*Sib’s Tale. The Black Repertory Theater of KC was awarded an NEA grant to aid in an eight-show fully staged production of the work.

She is the Producing Artistic Director of Tradewind Arts, a boutique arts organization devoted to illuminating, motivating, and amplifying the voice of Native Hawaiian, Oceanic, and Asian American artists. Andi was a 2017-18 Charlotte Street Foundation (CSF) Studio Resident. Her work has been recognized with support from ArtsKC, TCG, Asian Arts Initiative, The Kauffman Foundation, Charlotte Street Foundation, JOCO libraries, InterUrban ArtHouse, and the Dramatists Guild Fund, as well as two NEA award winning projects in partnership with The Coterie Theatre including Hana’s Suitcase and Justice at War. Jordan is excited to be working at Milwaukee Rep for the first time! Recent stage management credits include A Christmas Carol, Cyrano de Bergerac, Peter Pan and Wendy, Flood, Twelfth Night, and The Royale with Kansas City Rep; Doctor Dolittle at The Coterie Theatre; and Noir, 1984, Quixote Nuevo, Quack, Skeleton Crew, and Describe the Night at Alley Theatre in Houston. Jordan has a BA in Theatre Arts from New Mexico State University and an MFA in Theatre Design and Technology from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Jade is excited to be back at Milwaukee Rep! Previously she was the Stage Manager for The Heart Sellers, Dad’s Season Tickets, and Wife of a Salesman and the Assistant Stage Manager for God of Carnage, The Nativity Variations, Two Trains Running and Titanic the Musical. This season you can see her work on Dial M for Murder, The Chosen, and Nina Simone: Four Women. NINA SIMONE: FOUR WOMEN 19

Mark is an award-winning international theater director whose work has appeared in over 100 major theaters throughout Europe and the United States. He began his tenure as Artistic Director with the 2010/11 Season by bringing musicals to the mainstage, starting a tradition that is now the highlight of every season. Mark has directed over 30 productions at Milwaukee Rep including World and American Premieres, his own adaptation of the current A Christmas Carol and all but one mainstage musical including Titanic the Musical, West Side Story and Dreamgirls. Prior to joining Milwaukee Rep, Mark served as an Associate Artistic Director for several UK theater companies, most notably, Artistic Director for the award-winning Derby Playhouse in the UK where he directed over 40 productions. He has been nominated for an Olivier Award and several UK Theatre Awards, and has won three Barrymore Awards in Philadelphia. He created and directed the West End and UK National Tour of Soul Train. Mark is currently working with Ayad Akhtar on adapting his critically acclaimed novel American Dervish for the stage to make its World Premiere in an upcoming season.

Now in his eleventh season at Milwaukee Rep, under Chad’s guidance the theater has grown significantly from a $9M to $14M+ organization. He’s completed two capital campaigns to remodel the Stackner Cabaret, build the endowment, launch the John D. Lewis New Play Development Program, create a new A Christmas Carol and deepen the theater’s community engagement programs. He is currently stewarding the $78M campaign to build the new Associated Bank Theater Center. Previously he was the Associate Executive Director at Arena Stage in Washington, DC, where he was instrumental in opening the Mead Center for American Theater, a new 200,000 square feet performing arts complex. While at Arena, he worked on the Broadway transfers of Next to Normal (Pulitzer Prize; Tony Award), Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Tony Award), and Wishful Drinking starring Carrie Fisher. Bauman is a graduate of Harvard Business School with a Master of Fine Arts in producing from the CalArts.
