First our group started with increasing the scale from 1:50 from 1:25 by multiplying all the dimensions by the factor of 2. Using this as a reference, we used balsa wood to initially create the primary structure of the building such as vinyl slabs and walls.

Week 6
As a start, we managed to identify the location of several columns and beams which we tried to imititate through the use of different balsa woods. After constructing the main structure of the building, we moved on to a more detailed part (2/A10.03) which consists two steel beams.
Due to lack of time, we did not manage to construct the whole structure, but we were able to create the two supporting beams located at the two ends of the structure. These structures are considered horizontal primary structure because they work as a framework for the whole structure. Without these supporting structure which loads are directly distributed to, the balcony will have lower load bearing capacity or even collapse. Min Gee Suh 607048
