Held at Boconnoc, near Lostwithiel, the show will be opened by Roy Lancaster, horticulturalist and broadcaster. This very popular event regularly sees 10,000 visitors annually and it's not difficult to see why. With over 100 growers and exhibitors showcasing their products, there are also stunning show gardens to delight in, plus classes and workshops. For those with horticultural problems, the BBC Cornwall gardenline Team will be present to give tips and advice. For all gardeners, this is one event not to miss.

West Looe May Fayre 4th May Initiated by Edwina Hannaford in 2010, the West Looe May Fayre was originally a concept to promote West Looe's shops and businesses, plus as a way of fundraising for organisations and local groups. Since then, this colourful and well supported event has grown into an important part of the Looe calendar. Locals and visitors flock to see the procession, Maypole dancing and entertainment. For 2013, the West Looe May Fayre has gone one step further with the Pirates of St Piran. This 'motley crew' will entertain with mock sword fights, singing shanties and re-enacting history. This is a marvellous and well supported event which takes a lot of planning and organising. So please support Looe and we'll see you there.

If you appreciate there’s more to life than fast food and cheap fizzy drinks, then make sure you head into Looe for the festival. In its second year, the Looe Festival of Food & Drink is all about showcasing the incredibly diverse range of food and drink produced, cooked, caught and reared, right here in Cornwall. All festival goers are invited to sample Cornish teas, coffee, wines, jams, chutneys, seafood and much more. There will be demonstrations by leading chefs, hot and cold food to feast on and recipes to try at home. All this and more in a larger marquee than last year, making visiting easier, especially for wheelchair users. Try the lobster from Nippers Shellfish in Looe. Trust me, it’s amazing.

their shops and I always take a look here

The Looe Gift Shop was the first gift shop established in Looe in 1948, offering a mix of traditional gifts, toys and holiday souvenirs. It is a small and friendly little gift shop and each year welcomes back many customers who have happy memories of being on holiday in Looe as a child.

HHHHH

I am enjoying this app enormously. It is a great place to visit for locals and visitors alike. Whether you are looking for a place to stay, choose from all the fab local restaurants, share local knowledge or promote local business. There are some superb photos showcasing all the events and hotspots of Looe.

Amazing app for Looe

HHHHH

This app is amazing if you live in Looe or if you’re traveling through. It can keep you up to date with the latest info. Most business in Looe are on it with all there contact details!

Impressive app

HHHHH

A common problem with most apps & local sites like this is that they only cover businesses that sponsor them. This Looe app doesn’t rely on that, and really is comprehensive - from my limited knowledge of Looe, all the pubs & shops are included! Really useful guide, recommended.
