NCTV partnered with the Dreamland Theater and Theatre of War to provide all the technical solutions to live broadcast of a theater play and then enable a Zoom meeting between the theater and viewers around the world.

The Chamber of Commerce partnered with NCTV to tell this story in a special episode of Nantucket Life. This film showcases historic footage from early Strolls and how it changed throughout the years. It offers a glimpse of the behindthe-scenes activities that make Stroll possible. It also captures the magic of Stroll by featuring the stories of those that love the Natucket Stroll most . The 50th Stroll Pin shown above was design by Arlene O’Reilly.

in Nevers Land” won the Best of the Fest at the Nantucket

NCTV teamed up with Nantucket High School’s Honors Government Class to take democracy out of the textbooks and into the real world. Together, they designed a scientific exit poll to capture the heartbeat of Nantucket voters on key national and statewide issues. The result? Eye-opening data and an invaluable hands-on lesson in civic engagement.

Here’s the twist—most of these students were just months away from turning 18. They were old enough to grasp the complexities of the issues but not yet eligible to cast a vote themselves. This project gave them a unique window into the electoral process, showing that their voices—and future votes—can shape the world around them. Now that’s democracy in action!

NCTV joined forces with the Community Foundation of Nantucket to bring thrills and chills to the screen by capturing the spooky spectacle of the Coast Guard Station Brant Point’s haunted house. But this isn’t your typical haunted house—it holds a deeper purpose. Beyond the eerie fun and spine-tingling tradition lies the Coast Guard’s mission to support the community through a food drive that supports the Food Bank on island.

The Island Cup documentary is more than just a film—it’s a heartwarming celebration of camaraderie, rivalry, and tradition. Premiering across New England on NESN during Thanksgiving week, this historic documentary by Frank Schadt captures the essence of the Nantucket spirit. It takes viewers on a captivating journey through decades of history, highlighting the legendary football rivalry between Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. This fiercely fought tradition, passed down through generations, is more than a game—it’s a testament to community, pride, and the enduring power of sports. Don’t miss this deeply inspiring story of passion and perseverance!

The Monthly Special Edition (MSE) program is NCTV’s way of celebrating the artistry and talent of filmmakers with a connection to the Nantucket community. By showcasing award-winning films, MSE shines a deserving spotlight on creators while offering them access to NCTV’s powerful promotional tools—our HD TV channel, thriving social media platforms, and engaged audience—all at no cost. It’s our way of uplifting and sharing their art with a wider audience.

But MSE goes beyond just a celebration; it represents a bold step toward fulfilling NCTV’s mission of becoming the ultimate hub for the finest multimedia content about Nantucket. We don’t just want to produce exceptional content ourselves; we want to champion the storytellers and narratives that capture the soul of Nantucket.

Fittingly, two of the first films featured in this series are documentaries from former NCTV students Ben Daniels and Grace Bartlett. These talented filmmakers started their film careers at NCTV, a platform that has served as a creative launchpad for many aspiring multimedia artists on the island.
