Our Autumn | Winter 2017 collection draws its inspiration from forest fairies on a small volcanic archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean. Although trees cannot grow naturally on this land, I still remember the small cluster of trees planted in my town’s centre, sheltered by mountains: a tiny forest. As a little girl, I was allowed to go there when the winds did not blow too hard. To me, it was a poetic and adventuresome playground: A big, dark, mysterious forest filled with fantasy fairies and magical potential. Through carefully designed high-comfort styles and all-natural materials, I have tried to recall the feeling and colours of my secret autumn forest in the design of our AW17 collection.Timeless styles in seamless silk and wool dominate the collection; assisted by premium-grade knits in sumptuous chunky alpaca, fine woolcashmere blends and luxurious cashmere. Our comfortable organic essentials have been complemented with new details and elegant jersey qualities have been added to the collection. Soft silhouettes leave room for climbing and unfettered play. The colours of our AW17 collection reflect the richness of autumn leaves, ranging from golden yellow to tones in blush rose and burnt red. Dark shades of grey reflect the stormy autumn sky, and intense hues of dark blue call to mind the ubiquitous and unpredictable North Atlantic Ocean of my youth.
