That, along with his dad’s career, inspired Kovich to apply to the Air Force Academy too. and mentally. No one can ever be completely ready for that experience, said Kovich. But Kovich said he has followed a workout plan that will help him be in peak physical condition before he becomes a cadet. He was also advised to stay involved in sports. He will begin six weeks of basic cadet training at the Air Force Academy on June 25 that will help prepare him for life in his first year at the academy. Graduates of the U.S. Air Force Academy will be commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force. The fact that the country is still involved in a war has not deterred Kovich from his longtime goal. Kovich said hopes to make the Air Force his career and would like to work in special operations, special forces or counter-terrorism. “I want to serve my country,” said Kovich.
