We caught up with Minted Co-CEOs Mariam and Melissa to reflect on community, environmental responsibility and creating new traditions for generations to come. What was one of your fondest Minted memories this year? Mariam: “My fondest Minted memory this year was attending our annual ‘Camp Minted’ event for our community of independent artists. It was inspiring (and great fun!) to see this global network gather together while knowing that Minted was the catalyst for these relationships.”

What is your longest-kept Minted item? Mariam: “My longest-kept Minted item is my family’s holiday card from 2008, Minted’s inaugural year. This card is truly a family heirloom now—it features my now-teenage kids when they were 4 and 1!”
What’s your outlook on environmental responsibility for the stationery industry?
Mariam Naficy CHAIRMAN, FOUNDER, AND CO-CEO
Melissa: “It is imperative that the stationery industry works toward greater environmental stewardship and sustainability. As a leader in this area, Minted has deepened our sustainability pledge when it comes to products and packaging. And we continuously seek ways to further reduce our environmental footprint while consistently delivering the most beautiful stationery products.”
What is one new holiday tradition that you are creating for your family?

Melissa: “I remember loving our holiday decorations growing up. The ritual of preparing the house for the holidays has such fond memories attached to it and I want my kids to have that too. Each year, we add an item and this year, I’m excited to shop our new Direct From Artist holiday decor.”

From there, I decided to go with a more playful and casual approach. I’m also endlessly inspired by nature, so I definitely had to add in some wispy pines!”
What holiday card tips do you live by? “Always let the photo shine, no matter what! The design should always support the photo, because that’s ultimately the most important part of any card. I’m also a sucker for the traditional red and green color combination, it’s just so classic and stunning!”
What do you love most about the holidays?
