This famous quote is one that holds true at Daydreams Spa and H & Co Academy - Esthetics, especially with the exciting transformations that both businesses are in the midst of.
Although they are two separate businesses, they share several commonalities and will be even more entwined as businesses re-open following provincially mandated closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Both companies, owned by Heather Day, have shared the co-located space on 10th Street in Brandon for the
last three years and offer similar services. That, however, is about to change. With H & Co Academy - Esthetics recently becoming an advanced esthetics program, students will now complete the final portion of their program at Daydreams Spa, which means their menu of services will expand and be more aligned. All aspects of both the academy and the spa will be connected and everyone benefits, including clients.
“This education concept has been in the works for 5 years. It’s when you have students, apprentices, and educators all in the same building. Your educators, who
are fully licensed, will provide services when they’re not educating. But everybody in the building will be involved in the education process whether their teaching on the clinic floor, providing input on customer service or educating on curriculum topics related to the trade,” said Heather.
The Advanced Esthetics program now provides students with one year of training versus nine months. The or if they prefer they can pay the regular price for a licensed esthetician.
additional schooling will allow students to become licensed advanced medical estheticians providing them with training to perform advanced skincare techniques such as dermaplaning, peels, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) laser hair removal, IPL photo facials, Hydra facials and more.
“This is amazing news for our Daydreams clients. They will be able to continue to have the Daydreams experience, just at half the price and with more services to choose from. Our students are trained using the same exclusive product lines, they are taught the same techniques, and offer the same level of customer service that any licensed esthetician provides,” said Heather.
With the expanded menu, clients will be able to enjoy spa services at an affordable price with a student esthetician, “With our advanced program students are getting an additional 600 hours of training on the clinic floor. They are well trained when they graduate so they are very employable. We are already getting inquiries from other provinces because they know our students have the skills and the experience to provide amazing services. We wish we could hire them all,” said Heather.
H & Co Academy - Esthetics is one of only four accredited facilities in Manitoba. With strict guidelines, Manitoba’s programs are the most regulated across the country. When you’re in the business of educating, one of the signs of a successful program is that your graduates become employed and they are sought after.
