Making Strides

corporate activity At Mircom, we actively pursue growth opportunities. These opportunities have included the acquisitions of the Secutron product family from Simplex/Grinnell and Tyco Safety Products, as well as the Pro-2000 Fire and Gas Detection and Control Systems product family from Securiplex Inc. and SNC Lavalin Group. In addition to these acquisitions, the Mircom Group recently launched Summit Systems Technologies.

The Secutron product line represents a complete family of high quality UL and ULClisted fire alarm panels and accessories, currently installed in prestigious locations throughout the world, including U.S. military, federal, state and foreign facilities.

The Pro-2000 Fire & Gas Detection and Control Systems are micro processor based systems that integrate fire detection and PLC-based gas detection, and are geared for use in highly sensitive or hazardous environments.

Summit Systems Technologies is a division to the security distribution markets focusing largely on independant distribution.

manufacturing excellence Our primary production area occupies the greater part of our 82,000 squarefoot corporate headquarters. At Mircom, we are dedicated to using sophisticated manufacturing technologies. We utilize Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems to manage our production processes, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) on our circuit boards, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) applications on metal work for our panels, back boxes, and devices.

Products

fire alarm products We manufacture a complete series of fire alarm products for a wide variety of life safety and property protection applications. Our product line ranges from conventional systems for small buildings to intelligent analog and emergency zoned audio systems for large commercial, industrial, and residential complexes.

Our fire alarm products carry all the requisite regulatory agency approvals including Underwriters Laboratories (UL/ULC), Factory Mutual (FM), California State Fire Marshal (CSFM), City of New York (MEA), and City of Chicago. More importantly, we design our systems to offer additional features that go well beyond technical requirements.

communications products Best known for our fire alarm and voice evacuation and alert products, we also offer a line of tailored communication products. Our emergency call and telephone entry systems provide modular, versatile solutions for a variety of building and communication applications.

training To ensure that our products are correctly installed, programmed, and maintained, we also offer regularly scheduled on-site and off-site product training and certification courses. At Mircom, it is our responsibility to ensure that our systems are handled only by qualified service technicians that fully understand our products.
