When I designed Contemporary art centre, I focused on the concept of Abstractism & having expression of art in building's exterior.

Building’s exterior is covered with white screen walls for the purpose of not giving visitors emotional influence of buildings aesthetic over the arts in the building.

The screen walls were made with triangle hollows as an art of abstraction and the properties of triangle being the most stable form of all forms.

White color is used for the visitors to feel comfortable/pure and let them enjoy the arts more without having additional emotional influences from colors’ emotional influence.

As for building's floor plan I used the form of waves which have the feeling of flexibility and softness like of those of arts.

And there is a roof garden on the building and a pond to make the visitors feel as comfortable as possible while visiting the art centre.

A 30 feet two way lane is provided at the east side of the Pyay road as the main entrance. A private lane is provided for the staff to enter the Administration Zone.

A 60 cars ,public car parking is located at the west side of the building, and there is 5 available spaces for tour buses to park . Car Parking is stationed carefully to able to access the to the building with ease.

Why I design this building with Facade???

Choice of Material & Colour

Composite Fibre -Cladding Materials (Cement Fibre )

White -Emotionless -Can Feel Art Well -not absorb heat -Reflective

The building is located on an island which is inside the Inya Lay Lake. So the site is at the corner of Pyay road and Parami road. As for the main entrance, into the site, it can get access from the Pyay road.

The screen wall is installed 10 feet away from the building. The screen wall functions as a sun shader but the 10 feet distance of air between building and the screen wall, acts as temperature control equipment which allows the temperature difference of inside and outside as low as possible.

design is to get natural sun lights to the fullest , and the curtain walls are used to enjoy and capture the beautiful scenery surrounding the Building.

The functional units of the residence are distributed along a symmetrical rectangle creating open spaces all having a maximum exploitation of the view and continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Selected Works

The design of lobby reception is presented with a contemporary and traditional chinese taste of Bonsai at the same time , achieving total relaxation for people. The interiors of the lobby are designed for the 9 storey Residence with a basement.

Sleek surfaces of dark,lacquered woods,dimly lit,decorative laterns, and color palettes that blend often warm neutrals with punchy, saturated tone of red (considered the most lucky color in Chinese Culture). All elements are carefully chosen in the design process.

The overall theme of these spaces are modern. Ceilings for all spaces will adopt regular and simple type. Green wallpaper gives fresh and cool feelings .

A contemporary approach was selected to turn this pool to feel natural to users,the brown W.P.C color may have color continuity with the sky.Furniture ,fabric and usage of pool was carefully chosen to feel sustainability to nature and water.

A warm and classic concept Of colors,fabric and furnitures are chosen. The stem shaped steel frames are provided for the signature and main electric design.In daytime,the stems are decorated by garden roses and in night life,the electric stem must be seen.

Brown marble tiles are used to feel sense of and dominant elegance,the continuity of brown and white marble may show the passage way and stair lobby to feel contemporary and timeless.

Coffee And Tea Shop

A warm and woody contemporary approach is selected to turn this coffee and tea shop to feel natural and sustainability to users,the brown color may have color continuity with color of coffee beans and the white may stand for the clean mood to users.The coffee shop is located

Between 70th x32th Street Mandalay. The coffee and tea counter may be seen together with different taste. All elements and furnitures are carefully chosen in the design process.

Kitchen

Design in the sense of modern architecture with simple colors.

Kitchen is designed with the formal layout for a family with the combination of solid navy blue and pastel white. The house is located in Mandalay.

Living Room

Living room design is in the approach of contemporary architecture with the use of light colors. All the furnitures(T.V stands) are customized in the mood of Client ,and the ceilings are simple style. The house is located in Mandalay.

The room ( for the boy) is designed with simple color palette. Brown color parquet is used for the effect of resilience and safety , white side wall gives the clean mood,and the back wall of the bed color is navy for more intimate and cozy for the room .

The room(for the girl) is carefully chosen for the minimal theme,so the white color is used for the walls, the choice of the furniture and floor parquet is accordance with rattan and pale color palette.

Bath & WC is designed in the concept of modern minimal.
