With most of the summer behind us, it is the perfect time to get out and enjoy the outdoors. With this said, it is still a time to remember safety when getting outside. Staying hydrated is key to having a good time and not ending up a heat casualty. Water before, during and after outdoor activities is essential to staying hydrated. Sunscreen and insect repellent are also great ideas to protect your skin from the sun and bugs. We live in an area surrounded by water and agriculture that relies on ooded elds that are prime breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Last but not least, lightning is always a concern when you are outside. If you hear thunder, please head for shelter and wait for the storm to pass. See you at the course! Robert E.
