Virtual Personal Training and Nutrition Sessions

“As someone who loves working out in a gym setting with personal trainer, Courtney Hutt, having to switch over to virtual personal training was a leap of faith. But as with most things, Courtney has far exceeded my expectations. She ensures each session is just as personalized, effective, and engaging as in-person training. This is true even with little to no equipment in my home gym. Virtual training has been a convenient way to remain motivated and accountable throughout the pandemic and has definitely helped me fight the quarantine 15!” — Colin Tully

For those Members who cannot make it to the Club, whether it be because their kids are at home for school or they are working from home, we have virtual sessions available, so Members don’t miss out on their workouts. We are of course still offering personal training in person, too. Contact Paul Helfrich at 314-539-4453 or Courtney Hutt at 314-539-4495 for more information or to schedule a session.

Holidays AT THE MAC

MAC Apollos Sing in the Holiday Season

Holly, Jolly Holiday Breakfast

The MAC Apollos kicked off the season with jolly ol’ St. Nick and caroling with friends. Friends and co-workers gathered for a special after-work cocktail. Beginning at 5 p.m., Members began trickling into the Jack Buck Grille for a pre-event drink and cigar with the Apollos. After a bit of mingling, members of the Apollos slowly made their way toward Apollos Director Marc Strathman and the piano strategically placed in between the Grille and Rendezvous Room. They broke into favorite carols such as “Jingle Bells,” and “Silent Night” while Members came to watch. The night was made even more special when Santa made an appearance and joined in on the merriment.

Each year, the annual Breakfast with Santa provides holiday joy for the whole family. This year was no exception as children and parents visited with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Dec. 5, 12 and 19 for the annual Breakfast with Santa Event. Each date, the Missouri Room was packed for Breakfast with Santa as children lined up for their photos and enjoyed a full and delicious breakfast buffet while hearing the Apollos sing carols. The train display was running each morning and filled guests with spirit at each turn.

Christmas Cookies To Go

While many of the holiday events were able to go off without a hitch in this unusual time, the West Clubhouse was unable to host their usual Family Brunch with Santa. However, Santa made a special trip out to the West Clubhouse just the same to deliver Christmas cookie kits. The idea was sparked by West Clubhouse Catering Manager Emma Pranger and Janet Jones, who wanted to make sure families that normally use the West Clubhouse had the opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit and visit with St. Nick!

Christmas at the Club

Although this year looked very different for the Club and Members, Christmas came to the MAC just the same. On Thursday, Dec. 24, the Downtown Clubhouse hosted a Christmas Eve Dinner. This year, dinner included a buffet featuring striploin with peppercorn sauce, roast turkey, mahi-mahi with pineapple relish and more.

The next day, the MAC also hosted a Christmas dinner with a buffet of tenderloin with shiitake mushroom sauce, Miller bone-in ham, salmon with fresh pico and lemon cream sauce and more. Musical entertainment for both events was provided by Jenn Asia.

For Members who wanted to enjoy Christmas from the comforts of their own homes, the West Clubhouse offered Christmas To Go. Chef Charles gave Members the choice of herb-roasted chickens with black truffle jus, roasted ham with citrus bourbon glaze and prime rib with red wine au jus. Each meal came with a poached pear salad, cheesy hashbrown casserole, grilled baby carrots, mapleroasted spaghetti squash, lobster bisque, dinner rolls and old-fashioned bread pudding.
