Native St. Louisan and former U.S. Men’s National Team Player Taylor Twellman visited the Downtown Clubhouse on Friday, Feb. 17 for the MAC’s Speaker Series event: A Celebration of St. Louis Soccer.

Twellman, a 5x MLS All-Star, got the crowd in the Missouri Room excited for St. Louis CITY SC’s inaugural season. He then welcomed Al Trost, Lori Chalupny, Ty Keough, Brad Davis and Steve Trittschuh to the stage. Twellman addressed each of them and their legendary careers and dove into why St. Louis has been and will remain an incredible soccer hub.

When the St. Louis legends left the stage, CITY SC’s Head Coach Bradley Carnell took their place. Carnell explained that he coaches the person first and then focuses on their skill. He told Twellman that he has been looking forward to the debut of his new team for over a year.

CITY SC will play their first game at CITYPARK on March 4.
