Crooked Tree Arts Center’s mission is to inspire and enrich lives through the arts. We believe community-based arts provide significant value both to communities and artists. We work diligently to provide artists with opportunities to showcase their work, for young musicians to learn an instrument and for novices to explore new medias. D’Art for Art is Crooked Tree Arts Center’s premier fundraising event that has been held each July since 1998. D’Art for Art is unique in that guests leave with an original work of art created by artists of local, regional and national acclaim. The proceeds from D’Art for Art help support the year-round programs of CTAC including exhibitions, classes, school tours and scholarships for youth. This Year’s D’Art for Art Featured Artists are Rosita Gendernalik and Martha Landis. Their pieces, Witch Hazel and Forever and Ever, are the first entries in the 2016 Artists Catalog. The remainder of the catalog lists entries alphabetically by artist. We hope you’ll enjoy reviewing the incredible artwork donated by so many talented artists and contributors in the following pages.

Crooked Tree Arts Center is proud to have two locations for artists to exhibit their work. In Petoskey, four galleries are filled with work by artists of local, regional and national acclaim. Each year at least 12 exhibits are open to the public with free admission. In Traverse City, we host six exhibits in our location we added in 2015. Our annual shows include Juried Fine Art, Juried Photography, Youth Art and our new Merry Makers Marketplace for the holidays.
