Dear Friends, It is an honor and privilege to partner with you and our family of donors to help create better care for the people who live in, or visit, northern Michigan. In this issue we focus on an initiative launched through philanthropic partnerships — the creation of the Justin A. Borra Behavioral Health Center on the McLaren Cheboygan Campus. This new resource will have a tremendous impact, touching nearly everyone in some way. As you will read, our nation faces an escalating mental health crisis and northern Michigan is severely and disproportionately underserved. A comprehensive plan has been developed to meet the needs of our region, with generous lead gifts propelling forward establishment of an adult inpatient psychiatric unit and a partial hospitalization program. We are excited to share these plans with you and to gratefully acknowledge our philanthropic partners who are making it possible to create a behavioral health care system in our region. Warmly,
