ur opportunity came in the dark, early morning hours on Christmas Eve, when our Charlevoix office was one of the eleven businesses affected by a downtown fire. We don’t want to make too much of our loss – many people suffered greater losses than we did that night. Still, it was difficult. The first couple weeks were spent hunting furiously for office space, while the agents worked out of their homes, the Boyne City office, the Charlevoix library and Chamber conference room – even their cars. But in the midst of that difficulty, an opportunity was forged. What about joining forces? We contacted a long-established Charlevoix real estate firm and pitched the idea. Their agents would become part of the Pat O’Brien & Associates team on the sunset side of Lake Charlevoix, and bring their office with them. And, optimists all, they said yes. So here we are. New.
