Welcome

W

TO THE CAREY FAMILY

e would love for to you be a part of the Carey family through the Winters School of Music. This brochure gives a few of the many highlights of the great things that are happening here. As we head into another academic year, in the middle of very unique times in our land, I am grateful for our continued pursuit of excellence in all that we do. Ensembles that have been important to our school and region for many years, such as the Chorale, Spirit of Carey, and the Symphonic Winds, are growing in number and quality day by day, and newer groups are growing and having great impacts on the arts community and the church. Making great music is a large part of who we are at Carey! We have many music and academic majors for you to choose from, many opportunities for involvement, and tremendous scholarships to match your participation regardless of your chosen major. At Carey, you will not be a number, but a person with a name and a face that will have value in our school. Our goal is that you discover God’s plan for your life while you are here and that you pursue it with passion! If you have any further questions, or would like to arrange an audition for scholarship, please email us at music@ wmcarey.edu. We look forward to having you in the Winters School of Music! Serving Him, Dr. Wes Dykes, Dean of the Winters School of Music
