POL O Ralph Lauren
Since the days when our parents/grandparents, Norma and Ed brought their coffee pot into the store each day...
home
making our customers FEEL AT...
It has always been very important to our family and associates that we make our customers feel at home. We try to carry on this tradition in a variety of ways... by offering snacks, a kiddie corner, cozy dressing rooms, a much improved coffee bar with lattes and cappuccinos... and even the occasional house call. This season, celebrating our nostalgia for the pleasures of home (and the exciting renovation of our West Coast homes!), we have set some of fall’s most exquisite fashions against spectacular homes... in both town & country. We hope fall brings all good things to your home front and we look forward to welcoming you to our “homes” this season! With Hugs, The Mitchell Family Shown on front cover: ETRO

And let’s not forget the city... with its endless beat of arts and commerce and its unsurpassed sophistication. Here we visit one of New York’s most elegant types of domicile... the Townhouse.

A Place to Call Home
“
Chris Mitchell (with Conor, Haley and Ali Mitchell) Marshs Since 2002 When we were considering buying Marshs, I raised my hand and committed to my family that I would move to Long Island to run the store. The rest, as they say, is history. Ali and I quickly came to love the extended Huntington community and people. Now, we’re actively involved in several great local charities, as we know it’s important to give back, and we’re so enjoying it! I moved here for work... but found myself a new home.

A Team of Our Own
“
Trish Paliotta & Deb Placey Mitchells Customers/Co-Chairs Pink Aid, 2012 We met through our hockey connection... (Trish’s son was being drafted to an NHL team and Deb was covering the event as an announcer.) We became fast friends and found we had many things in common, including a shared personal commitment to fighting breast cancer. Now we’re thrilled to have joined our own team together... the Pink Aid Team! We hope to see you on October 4th!

Mission... Possible!
“
Gary Barrows, Mitchells Associate Since 2006 One day, a client called, saying that his partner was flying in from the Midwest for a black tie that night in the city! We grabbed tuxedoes and accessories and rushed down to my client’s apartment to meet his partner when he arrived at 5:30PM. We got a tailor to fix the tux in an hour and voila! We had him to the event, looking great, by 7!

A Face to Come Home To
“
Gail Sheriff, Mitchells Associate Since 1997 Over the years, I’ve found that when my customers move away, they almost always “come home.” They may move to Europe or California or to New York City full time... but many come back at least once a year, so I can help build their wardrobe for the season. I’ve been able to really connect with my beloved friends and customers and that’s the best part for me.

When the Shoe Fits... Iwona Kelly, Richards Associate Since 1998 I have some customers whose shoe wardrobe, taste level and feet(!) I know so well, that when we have a trunk show, they trust me to order shoes for them. At Manolo Blahnik trunks shows, they can also order custom shoes, changing out materials or basing them on old styles. Our shoe department may be small, but we know our customers and get them just what they want. I haven’t ordered the wrong pair yet!
My Special Muse Linda Rait, Richards Michael Kors Specialist Since 2007 I love bringing women to a place, fashion-wise, that they didn’t expect to go. One of my many special customers is very successful with a big job in finance. She had no idea how gorgeous she is. She came in when I first started, looking for a coat for her college-bound stepdaughter. Soon, we started working on her style and I’ve turned her into a true fashionista... and boy do we have fun!
