MIXOLOGY NORTH 21 AWARDS

massive thanks to our sponsors

welcome Good evening and a very warm welcome to Mixology North21 – still the biggest and best event outside ‘that town on the Thames’. After the past 18 months this year’s celebration is, of course, really special for all of us. I’m sure I don’t need to explain why. We want tonight to be a chance for all of us to eat, drink, be merry and catch up with those friends, colleagues, acquaintances, clients and rivals we’ve not had an opportunity to see beyond a Zoom or Teams call. We also hope this will be an opportunity to escape from the pressures and worries of the pandemic, and to acknowledge and celebrate the industry’s incredible resilience. We’ve been delighted by the incredible number and standard of awards entries we’ve received – and also how eager you all are to come together and be in one another’s company again. So we hope tonight hit all the right notes, with a venue that will bring back plenty of great memories and our favourite Mixology DJ providing the perfect Mixology soundtrack. I love that resilience and optimism. Plus, we’ve really missed you. So have a great night. You deserve it. We all deserve it!

APM Design carried out a multi-disciplinary role for their client at the Clifton Arms Hotel as part of a £1.3million refurbishment. The design was centred on creating a new modern interior whilst drawing inspiration from the hotel’s coastal location. The intention was always to keep the colour palette connected to the sea, for that reason a lot of sand and blue tones were used throughout the hotel.

The Grade II listed Ingleside House has been converted into a stylish luxury hotel with a unique personality. London and Scottish Student Housing enlisted awardwinning interiors and architecture practice 74 to create a hospitality-inspired student living experience in the heart of Leeds. The interior design treatment for the amenity spaces took initial inspiration from the building’s architecture, where the materials palette references a recognisable 1930s local residential vernacular.

Eskdale Terrace, Newcastle FaulknerBrowns Architects

VOX, Manchester ID:SR Sheppard Robson

Eskdale Terrace is a an independent later-living development for PegasusLife. Inspired by the historic context of the site the scheme delivers a modern interpretation of Victorian vernacular. The interior design concept for VOX was to create a space where the resident is at the heart of the development, and which fostered a sense of community, and where health and well-being is at the forefront of the design. The modern design has maximum impact, utilising large format materials to emphasize the high ceilings with an opulent, yet relaxed vibe.
