meet bas ko s t e r s : With his playful, handdrawn illustrations and protest propaganda imagery, Bas Kosters has gained a reputation in the fashion industry as a unique talent whose vision has inspired designers across the globe. In this shoot we see pieces from his spring/summer collection, ‘Love, Fuck Yeah!’ and autumn/winter collection ‘The Rebellious Shadow’. Along with Jojanneke van der Veer (aka DJ Wannabeastar, pictured), Bas runs and DJs at Amsterdam’s notorious Anti Fashion Parties, each uniquely themed, with many of the guests designing and showcasing their own outfits and a cutting-edge soundtrack of house, electro and bass. And despite an international gig schedule as Fashionpack (alongside Shirley Hart) and producing his own music for his collections, he’s modest about the music side of things. “I’m not going to sit here and talk like I’m some big-name DJ,” he says. “That’s just one part of the whole.
