About Us Hans Martin de Rossi and Alberto Brou, founders of “Peru Outdoor Experiences” have joined their passion for Peru and the Andean Highlands region to craft magnificent experiences for you and your guests. For over ten years Hans and Alberto have been working in the adventure travel industries in the Andes, and now they have started their own venture to share their innovative and authentic programs with you. OUR EXPERIENCE: For the past 10 years Hans has worked in a supervisory capacity at both Hotel *Sol & Luna and *Orient Express hotel in the Sacred Valley in Urubamba. Alberto Brou has worked as an operations executive and manager for *Inkaterra, *Titilaka Hotel, and the Virtuoso Travel Agency *”Andean Experiences”. His love for the outdoors has taken him to specialize in organizing, supervising and guiding adventure custom-made trips like trekking, biking and kayaking. They both have vast knowledge and experience in adventure travel programs. Hans and Alberto have travelled to every corner of Peru, and would like to share their love and respect for its nature with you. After many years of working and living in the Peruvian highlands, they have a great understanding of the socio-economic makeup of the region, and are quite sensitive of the needs of its population. Mountain Bike Experiences in The Sacred Valley Of The Incas

Half-day, full-day and multi-day excursions in The Sacred Valley Of The Incas where you can experience wonderful trails accompanied by the best views and landscape that The Valley offers. Furthermore, you will be able to see people in their communities doing their daily tasks in the field like agriculture, cattle raising and weaving; plus you will also have the opportunity to test your limits and enjoy some adrenaline.

This half-day experience begins at the Archaeological Site of Moray where travelers can optionally visit this area known for being a former agricultural laboratory used to experiment with different varieties of native potatoes cultivated at different ecological floors. The road linking Moray and Maras is a "single track" which is excellent to practice "Cross country" with ups and downs that makes this experience exciting. Here you can see unique views of the snowy Vilcanota Mountain Range and the Chicon, the Pumahuanca and the Wakay Willca Mountains. The Maras village is an agricultural town whose inhabitants are mainly engaged in the extraction of salt.

This half-day experience begins in the surroundings of the town of Yanahuara, in the community of Pachar where we will visit what was formerly an Inca path. We will see local people doing their daily tasks, as well as a myriad of platforms and Inca remains belonging to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Our experience in bicycle will begin by bordering the left bank of the Wilcamayo river passing through an Inca bridge where we will see the old structures that were used as the basis for a suspension bridge connecting the two banks of the river. We end our tour at the plaza of Ollantaytambo.

This half-day experience begins in Pisac where we will travel to a rural road that will take us through vast fields of corn known for its different varieties and colors, especially a type of white maize from large grains. In this tour we will have beautiful views of the Sacred Valley and the Vilcanota River basin.

This tour begins in the town of Urquillos in front of Huayoccari where we will start riding our bikes through a wide path along the stream with a slightly pronounced rise at the end. During the tour we will appreciate old colonial haciendas and remains of Inca terraces. We will descend slightly to the town of Huayllabamba where our trip will end at its beautiful small square.

This full day experience begins at Cruz Pata, a community located around the lagoon of Piuray that belongs to the town of Chinchero. We will start pedaling along an old dirt road (trail) that will help us get used to the bikes. We will go to the archaeological site of Moray where travelers can optionally visit this area known for being a former agricultural laboratory used to experiment with different varieties of native potatoes having the possibility of submitting them to different ecological floors, each floor representing a different climate. The road linking Maras and Moray is a "single track" which is excellent for practicing "Cross country" with ups and downs that makes this experience exciting. After a rest and a picnic lunch in the nearby town of Maras we will continue our cycling experience along the paths leading down to the salt mines. It is up to the passengers and their experience level to decide whether we descend to Pichingoto in the Sacred Valley.

This experience around the plains of Anta will take us through one of the longest and less visited andenerĂ­a complex: the area of Killarumiyoq temple. We can also appreciate the villages with colonial churches and live culture. It is a 04 to 05 hour-journey starting at the archaeological site of Killarumiyoq through the platforms of Zurite and ending at the town of Huarocondo.

2 day Bike Experiences 8) Mountain Bike Lares (02 Days / 1 Night) Duration: Location: Level: Season:

Day 1 Early in the morning we will go to Calca where we will have the ďŹ rst chance to try the bicycles. After that, our transport will take us to the pass of Lares where we will start to descend for approximately 04 hours. During this journey we will have the opportunity to see llamas and vicuĂąas and the inhabitants of the heights in their daily tasks. Passing through the peasant communities of Maucau and Pampacorral we will find our picnic lunch. After we take a rest, we will continue our journey to the hot springs where we can take a bath and relax or do some of the optional walks. Day 2 After a healthy breakfast we head with our private car to the pass of Lares (4300m), where we will begin to explore an ancient road that descends to the town of Calca. We will continue this route descending for 3 hours until we reach a narrow canyon and then we will enjoy a picnic lunch. Transfer to your hotel or train station in Ollanta. Horseback Riding Experiences in The Sacred Valley of The Incas Experience our horseback riding trips on our outstanding Peruvian Paso Horses. This hike takes you from Urubamba town to the cemetery and the archeological remain form by terraces from there we will start hike near by the small crystal clear water creek that bring water from the Chicon and “Velo de la Novia� glaciers, we will be able to see how local farmers work at their lands. The start point of this hike is the Sairy Tupac Palace located nearby the Colonial church of Yucay town, this was the biggest Inca complex located at the sacred valley, our hike will go throw Andean terraces, farms and we can also get in to the “quebrada” San Juan following a small river that brings clean water from the glaciers.

We will start our hike on the town of Yanahuara following Mantanayoc river that came from glacier lakes we will get into a forest of Queñas, Orchids and native trees and bushes following a old dirt road to a cooper mind we will reach the hamlet of Mantanayoc a couple families live there farming potatoes and llamas. After 30 more minutes hiking we will be able to see Aururay and Milpo glacier lagoon we will have hour lunch there and descent back to Urubamba.

This hike throw the high lands of Chinchero take us to a Pass of 4200 meters over the sea level, and then descend to Huchuy Qosqo archeological site, during the trail we will be able to enjoy the landscape with the mountains of the Vilcanota Mountain Like Chicon, San Juan, Sawasiray and La Veronica. After lunch at the archeological remain we will descend for a couple hour down to the sacred valley at Lamay our transportation will pick us up to take you to your hotel.

This hike starts at Lamay town at the sacred valley of the Inca from here we will cross the Urubamba river and hike up for 2.5 kilometer and ascending 1000 meters to the Inca citadel of Huchuy Qosqo, after exploring the citadel with buildings with 3 floors high we will enjoy our lunch with that view of the valley and descend back to Lamay.

At the circular terraces of Moray, the Andean agricultural laboratory, we will start hiking from there a single track throw the “Pampa” of Maras we will get to the town of Maras a short stop at it´s colonial church will allowed us to take some pictures of the great Vilcanota Mountain Range. We will continue our descend to the salt mines of Maras, this mines were been use before the Incas time. Our hike will finish down at the sacred valley at Pichingoto.

At the town of Chinchero we will pass throw the archeological site and walk throw the Inca trail that leads to the town of Urquillos in the way we will be able to walk on the Inca stairs and see parrots and a difference of native plants, at this small valley lives some deer and wild cats.
