Thoughts From Her Grandchildren
Devon When I had heard that my grandmother had died I was astounded. I couldn’t believe that someone that loved us so much has left us. She did so much for us. She took us places and showed up at events. She provided for us great things and gave us love and affection. She was a great woman and everyone in the family loved her dearly. Jahnaya You were so many things for me it’s hard to put into words. You was my support system and my protector. It’s sad that you have left us. I will always keep the memories we shared. Now you and pop pop can rest in peace. Kahrell MaMa June used to always watch over me all the time to when I was sleep, to when I was eating or if I was just sitting down watching a movie no matter what I was doing. So I know she is now watching over all of us in heaven with pop pop. Kahreem Hey MaMa June a.k.a. Jenny. Eventhough you are not here it feels like you are still here with us because I feel your presence. Tell the others Big Reem said I love them and to watch over me until we meet again. Dashawn Hey babe! No one understood the relationship we had, all those playful times and car rides. I know that you know I love you very much and I know you felt the same way about me.I will forever miss and love you. Until we meet again my love, my precious Babe! Makayla June My Ma JuJu, shorty, girl frienddddd. I will love you forever. Things will never be the same now that you are no longer with me. I am so grateful that I was able to spend the last couple of years with you. I got to meet a MaMa June nobody else could ever meet. I am glad that we made lot of memories. Thank you for teaching me how to love and be kind even when the world was cruel. I love you. I love you. I love you - your remarkable grand baby.
Amaya You were more than a grandmother to me. You were kind of like a second mother and a best friend I didn’t know I needed. Over the years it was kind of like you became my home so when you left I felt an emptiness within me. But you know your MyMy loves you deeply and the memories of you live forever in my heart. Deon MaMa June was not just my grandmother but we fooled around and played like she was my friend. Losing MaMa June was extremely sudden and hard to comprehend. Seeing her in the hospital, it was like my heart fell out of my chest. I’ll forever miss you MaMa June. Javani I love MaMa June. She is the best grandma. Nasheema I’m so grateful that I had the chance to know and love you. Thank you for always treating me like one of your grand babies and showing me the real meaning of family. I am happy I have so many good memories to hold on to. I’m going to miss you MJ. Arianna The power of a mother is more powerful than anything in this world. There isn’t a day that goes by that a child doesn’t need their mommy. The love they give. The care they provide. The ability to be strong for themselves and everyone else. Any person is going to need their mother until the day they leave this earth. To my mommy, my aunts and my uncle, I’m so sorry that you lost your foundation. To my Mamajune, I love you with ever being in my body. I’m so sorry I left you. You were a worrier so to ease your heart as you take your journey up to Popppop, I have to let you know; we are broken but not because you are gone. But because you are the glue that holds everyone single one of us in the family together. Because you are the home away from home.Because you are the strength when everyone is weak. I can tell you girl, we need that strength. But we will be okay. You meant the world to us. So I can promise you this, we will make your dreams for us come true. Or at lease I will. Don’t worry about us girl we’re gonna pull through. You rest now, be in Heaven with your truest love. Be at peace MJ. I love your forever and ever and even after that. Regina Being a mother is more than what some of us think. A mother is not just a woman who can give birth to a child but a woman who can help to birth a vision and a dream within that child and lead that child to Christ. A mother knows when to step up, hold on and give guidance. A mother also knows when to fall back and let go. Our ability to nurture, give love to and provide strength for a family member, an acquaintance or anybody not who it is, all comes from God. It is His strength that works through us. It is His power that works through us. Isaiah 43:21 and John 15:12-15, “We are all created to praise, worship, bless His mighty name and to be there to support and love one another through our trials and tribulations.” Father I thank you for giving our mother, Momma June the strength, power and endurance to wrap her arms around anyone in need the way you wrap your arms around us In Jesus name. Amen R.I.P. Mom, I love you forever and always.
