A Moment In Time
Who knew through the pain such a sweet love you would find. If I could ask for one thing it’s a moment in time. A break from all that has been thrust upon. If I could ask for one thing it’s a moment in time. We fought for it all, success though a grind If I could ask for one thing it’s a moment in time. Two gifts you would provide, now left behind If I could ask for one thing it’s a moment in time. Now that your gone I will look for a sign If I could ask for one thing it’s a moment in time. The pain that I feel, though strong I can’t hide. If I could ask for one thing it’s a moment in time. Wait, a moment in time is what we had. Each breath that we took was never sad So why must I grieve when life had become pain. It’s ok baby if you could no longer stand the rain. Because that is just a song. Real life had got raw, and me knowing the real cause. Allows me to accept without pause. It’s ok baby. It’s fine. But if I could ask you for anything, it’s one more moment in time.
Love Your Husband
In Loving Memory
Katrina Lenore Francis-Fitchett Our precious angel, Katrina (Trina) Lenore Francis, daughter of Sunmon and Alberta Francis was born on September 25, 1981 in Englewood, NJ. As the youngest of three children, she spent much of her childhood recovering from pranks by her older brother, Delonao (“D”) or following her big sister, Shneequa, around the neighborhood. “D” had no shame in scaring her at night while falling asleep in the dark. Trina would often follow it up with a kick to the mattress from their shared bunk bed. As a family, Katrina loved taking road trips to South Carolina “down south,” in dad’s big minivan. It was the one time of year that the northern side of the family had an opportunity to hang out with the southern side of the family. Running around granny’s house and walking down the dirt road to Smith’s store to get free two cent candy with her cousins, Trinessa Brown and Melissa Judge, were some of the highlights of each summer. She grew to love and appreciate the family tradition of everyone sleeping at granny’s house. Family was truly the center of her world. Throughout her life, Katrina’s parents dedicated much of their time to taking care of their youngest baby. Although she dealt with many obstacles with sickle cell, they did not want it to hinder her from having and high expectations. Although her illness limited her traveling, Trina loved traveling with her aunt Helen, cousin, Tasha, and sister, Shneequa. Tasha was like a sister to Katrina. They were there for each other in the best of times and in the worst. As a young child, Katrina accepted Christ as her savior. At the age of 11, she was baptized at Congregational Church of God in Manhattan, NY. She served on many committees and organizations. As a dedicated member, she participated in Sunday school, the youth ministry where she served as president, junior usher, children and adult choir along with Krishana Scott and Candis Pittman. She had the opportunity to attend many national conventions to enhance her spiritual relationship with the Lord. God was always foremost While growing up in Bronx, NY, Katrina received her formal education from Sacred Heart Elementary and Middle School and Aquinas High School. She excelled in every class which allowed her to earn the honor roll each year. Even in school, people gravitated toward Trina’s bubbly personality. She would walk to Sacred Heart with her lifelong friend/ cousin/sister, Dana Brown. They got into some trouble even as Trina followed Dana on to high school. Their bond became so close over the years that to this day, Dana remains an important pillar in the family’s life. Katrina was infatuated with Medicine. With so many trips to the hospital in her day’s all she wanted to do was take care of others. In 1999 Katrina enrolled at Temple University where she decided that the best path to medical school was Biology. During her four years in Philadelphia Katrina established lifelong bonds with her roommates and friends. Monica, Devin, Darla, Stephanie and Andrea became her family over those years and remain her closest friends till this day playing an important role in some of the most significant moments of her life. July 1st 2001 was a tragic moment that changed everything for Katrina, The passing of Delonao Francis brought the family closer and gave Katrina a new purpose in life. Being available for her nieces, Briye and Delon Francis was now at the top of the agenda. Due to this tragic loss, a stronger bond grew between Shneequa and Katrina as they vowed to lean on each other more than ever.
After Katrina graduated from Temple University she took every class that she could that would give her a better opportunity to be accepted into Medical School. After years of working towards this goal, Katrina decided that it was time to move forward and chase a new dream. In 2012, after moving back to New York and taking classes here and there Katrina decided to go after a Nursing degree that would allow her to work in the field of medicine but wouldn’t take as long to achieve. Katrina enrolled in NYU’s accelerated nursing program which allowed her to graduate in a little more than a year. Katrina attacked this goal as she did everything else she was passionate about. Katrina graduated Magna Cum Laude with a nursing degree. In that time she cultivated another lifelong friendship with Elizabeth Diaz. Lizzi-Poo as she affectionately called her became a key person in her life. A sound board for all of the new ups and downs to come. While attending Temple University Katrina befriended a gentlemen by the name of Taron Fitchett. Little did she know at the time that her longtime friend would become her husband one day. After dating for a year or so, Katrina and Taron were engaged on December 5th 2012. The couple moved to Delaware where Katrina pursued her calling in nursing and began her career at Christiana Care Hospital in the Emergency Department. The couple moved fast. Katrina was married to Taron on August 6th 2016 and gave birth to beautiful twin boys Camden (Cammy) and Chase (ChaseyPooh) on January 24th 2017. They purchased their first home in July of 2017. Katrina made great friends everywhere and Christiana was no different. Katrina would always rave about the fun she had at work with Annie, Lauren and Paige. Anyone that knew Katrina understood her passion for anything that pertained to weddings, party planning and make-up. She knew how to “beat a face!” She watched every wedding show day or night. Katrina lived her life touching everyone everywhere she went. Whether with her work family or real family it was apparent that Family was the most important thing in her life. Katrina enjoyed the holidays the most as she loved a crowded house full of love. On May 7th 2018 family became a little bigger with the birth of her 3rd niece Braelynn Savannah. Spending time with her children was a true highlight. The first thing she would do when she got home from a hard day work was ask for a big hug. Katrina loved her children more than anything in the world. On Thursday, January 31, 2019, the world gained an angel. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lydia Brown, and her brother, Delonao Francis. She is survived by: her parents, Sunmon and Alberta Francis; her husband, Taron Fitchett; twin sons, Camden and Chase Fitchett; one sister, Shneequa Francis-Smith (Joseph); three nieces, Briye’Francis, De’lon Francis, and Braelynn Smith; nephew, Semaj Pollard; three uncles, Harry Brown (Jeanette), Jesse Brown (Mary), Larry Brown (Cheryl); two aunts, Helen Brown and Juanita Brown; one God-daughter, Chelsi White; her mother-in-law, Veronica Fitchett; her father-inlaw, Reymont Barefield; one sister-in-law, Tiffany Morton; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

So Go and Run Free. So go and run free with the angels. Dance around the golden clouds for the Lord has chosen you to be with Him And we should feel nothing but proud. Although He has taken you from us and our pain a lifetime will last Your memory will never escape us but make us glad for the time we did have Your face will always be hidden deep inside our hearts Each precious moment you gave us shall never, ever depart So go and run free with the angels as they sing so tenderly And please be sure to tell them to take good care of you for me.

Katrina, until we meet again
Katrina,
Thankful for the time we spent, still can’t believe you are gone, Life can be so short, wondering how we move on Those special memories of you, will always bring us to smile If only we could have you back, for just a little while Then we could sit and talk again, just like we used to do You always meant so very much to us, and I hope you knew The fact that you are no longer here, will always cause us pain But you are forever in our hearts, until we meet again My mind is at ease and my soul is at rest Remembering all, that we were truly blessed We love you so much Katrina and we will always miss you Thank you for our friendship and the love we shared with you. You are our angel in heaven, watching down on us each day and I pray to the lord above, one day we will see you again. Please rest in peace my friend
Lil Sister,
Sometimes I’m mad and sometimes I’m just sad. I know it was not your choice but God’s chosen plan He has other things for you to do in heaven to help get us ready for when we meet again You and big brother have left me with great tasks to do and I don’t know how I’m going to make it through But when I look at Bri, De’, Cam, Chase and Brae, I know that I have to. So go and rest, Lil Sister cause we’ll have so much catching up to do As you are watching over us, Remember we will always love and miss you.
Love, Annie
Katrina,
Words can not explain how heavy my heart is. There are no words to describe the void I have inside. Every time I see a smile on Cam and Chase’s face, I will think of you. I vow to “take care of your babies”. I love you, and I miss you like crazy. Love Your Pooh Bears,
Dana
Love Your Sissy
To My Dear Cousin,
You have been more like a sister to me than a cousin. I love you and I will always keep your memories in my heart. Rest in heaven.
Love Tasha
