SYNOPSIS Management Education has developed steadily, worldwide and in India, over the last few decades, especially since the early-90s in India.
The number and variety of UG and PG programmes has grown by leaps and bounds along with the
number of Institutions offering them.
Yet, there is an Institutional chasm that separates the top programmes from the
average and mediocre. The crisis-driven opportunity that has arisen makes it possible for Institutions to reset their strategies,
policies,
programmes
and
practices
through
which
a
new,
robust,
adaptive
and
vibrant
management
education environment can be realized by India’s Institutions collectively. So, what are the challenges and opportunities that present themselves?
In what ways can Institutional leaders manage all their resources while boldly attempting to
effect the desired changes in the prevailing challenging environment? What should be the significant changes in the mindsets, and consequently the practices, of Institutional leaders and the faculty members in their initiatives and efforts to offer top-quality and perfect-value management education to their students, many of whom get exposed for the first time in their education to the management body of knowledge?
These questions, and related others that you may wish
to pose at the Panel Discussion, will be addressed by the Distinguished Experts, Dr. Harbir Singh of Wharton and Dr. Raghuram ex-IIM Ahmedabad and Bangalore along with inputs from Mr. L. Ramkumar, past-President of MMA and Professor L. S. Ganesh of IIT Madras, who will serve as the Moderator.
MMA looks forward to active participation by you
and your colleagues in the Panel Discussion to be conducted in a hybrid format from 06:00 to 07:45 p.m., on Thursday, 18th February, both at the MMA Auditorium and virtually.
