MMA ANNUAL CONVENTION 2021 MMA’s theme-based Annual Convention is a high point in the calendar of management events in the country. It has gained a reputation for high quality and excellence over the years and attracts delegates from all over India, including leaders and thinkers from across industries and businesses.

Adhering to protocols of the “New Normal”, MMA organized its flagship event - MMA Annual Convention 2021 in a virtual mode on Friday, 26th February 2021. Theme of the Convention was “India’s Turning Point: Challenges and Opportunities. Exploiting the digital medium to its best advantage, a galaxy of distinguished speakers was invited to share their perspectives through pre-recorded virtual sessions, professionally edited and presented to the members, rather than resort to live online sessions fraught with limitations of connectivity, power and audio disruptions.

On 26th February, as the Convention was webcast live, a limited number of guests and members experienced the pleasure of watching the Convention live at the MMA Seminar hall equipped with ultramodern audio-visual equipment. Award winners and participants of the Young Manager Competition 2021 were invited to the MMA Management Center for receiving the awards during the Convention. The MMA Annual Convention 2021 dealt on various aspects through a series of focused sessions on three broad subthemes as follows: 1. India's Turning Point–Challenges & Opportunities 2. Digital transformation accelerated–trends and implications 3. Thrive or Survive? Enabling personal growth in times of adversity

Ms Anu Madgavkar, Partner, McKinsey Global Institute and Author of the MGI Report “India’s Turning Point” delivered the keynote address from Mumbai, on the theme of the Convention.

The highlights of this year’s Convention was addressed by outstanding speakers and the content prepared

by McKinsey, as knowledge partner for the Convention, has been outstanding. In hindsight, the novel approach was a grand success, watched by over 32,000 viewers from all over the globe. Indeed, a great initiative and mind boggling number of delegates this year.

MMA WOMEN MANAGERS’ CONVENTION 2021 Having received an overwhelming response and feedback for the MMA Annual Convention held in virtual mode, a similar model was adopted for the most awaited annual feature on the MMA Calendar – MMA Women Managers Convention 2021 on the theme “The New Woman of Today,” which was held on Saturday, 27th March 2021, within a few weeks of the MMA Annual Convention.

Pre-recording various sessions presented an opportunity for outstanding speakers from across the globe to share their perspectives during the Convention, which included Ms Kate Sweetman, Former Editor, Harvard Business Review, who delivered the Keynote address on the theme “The New Woman of Today.”

The Annual MMA Women Managers’ Convention is a celebration of the spirit of women and the many diverse roles women play. The event creates a platform for women across different walks of life, to come together, share their thoughts, opinions, insights and experiences. The focus of the convention is to inspire and guide women to grow in every area of life.

The MMA Women Manager’s Convention 2021 was aimed to contribute to conversation about challenges faced by women, impact of the pandemic and what it means for the New Woman of today. The aim was to bring together viewpoints, ideas and innovations that are reflective of a changing dynamic.

Thanks to the Convention Committee headed by Dr Ranjini Manian, Founder Chairperson, Global Adjustments Foundation and Ms Sabitha Rao, Director, Cerebrus Consultants, our Knowledge Partner, the theme “The New Woman of Today” were finalized with great care. MMA Women Managers’ Convention focussed on the following sub-themes: The Elephant in the Room Silver Linings Playing Field A galaxy of distinguished speakers from across India across the globe shared their insights on the theme of the Convention which was a grand success and attended by over 21,000 viewers. Award winners and participants of the Outstanding Woman Manager’s Competition 2021 were invited to the MMA Management Center for receiving the awards during the Convention. We have received excellent feedback from the participants.
