OVERVIEW On the occasion of Independence Day, MMA is privileged to organise an event in association with Global Adjustments Foundation, specially curated for women on the theme ‘Marching Ahead: The Next Normal’. The event will provide women with guidance and practical resources on topics that are top of the mind during COVID-19. With an illustrious line-up of speakers, the two hour event aims to support women so that they can navigate and prepare for the next normal. Based on challenges faced by women at work and home, the event will bring to the fore discussions to support women during the pandemic. The event will comprise engaging and interactive sessions, where women will discover ways to live and work in our new reality. Session I: Advocating for yourself and others While the pandemic has disrupted life as we know it, many of us are struggling to come to terms with the new reality. As we juggle additional responsibilities, we will be reminded to treat ourselves with patience and compassion. While it might be impossible to expect the stress and anxiety to go away, the final session will provide practical tips to manage them and lessen its impact. Finding opportunities for self-care Practicing patience and compassion on yourself and others Practical tips to take for your wellbeing
Session II: Managing stress in next normal Life and work have changed fundamentally during COVID-19. Therefore, our goals may need to change, too. This session will provide tips to break your goals in to manageable steps and celebrate small victories in both your personal and professional life. Few of the discussion points could include: Thinking ‘done’, instead of perfect Discussing expectations & boundaries at home and work Strategies for remote working and leading Building and sustaining relationships at work Investing in trust and showing kindness
