REPLACING IMAGES Two independent journeys to the same European locations, differing only in date and sequence, inspired the juxtapositional structure of this exhibition. As a way of seeing, this study is probably about finding the objectives and positions for discovering architectural spaces previously represented in drawings and photos. Interlocking each others trails, the specific moments of every new photo reflect upon the nature and thus the complexity in the interpretation of the context. The parallel field of ground creates a kind of metaphysical topography, where correlations are enhanced in their spacious compilation of motifs. The space described from the one view endures as it is captured in another fragment in time, simultaneously refering to ‘what-has-been’ as well as ‘what-is-to-come’. Western-European nature, materials and tectonics are hereby embodied through two lenses, and seven rolls of 35mm film.
