Supporting the Arts is Good for the Community The Museum of Art – DeLand, Florida, is a vital and interactive non-profit community visual arts museum dedicated to the collecting, preservation, study, display and educational use of the fine arts. In addition to the permanent collection, the Museum is host to several rotating exhibits, gallery talks and receptions, educational programming, master artist workshops and special events throughout the year. Each year the Museum of Art - DeLand serves thousands of individuals through its exhibitions, in-house educational programs and public outreach. This includes close to ten thousand children alone who participated in Museum tours, summer camps, Family Fun Days and in art and literacy programs like the Museum’s stART Library Program and Arts on the Grow. These programs reach underserved audiences and would not be possible without the support of Individual and Corporate Membership. Supporting the Arts is Good for Business As reported in Arts & Economic Prosperity IV, the arts enhance community development, create jobs, spur urban renewal, attract new business, draw tourism dollars, and create an environment that attracts skilled and educated workers. When you partner with the Museum of Art - DeLand, you partner with the whole community and everyone benefits.
