Adel Moustafa / Egypt The assay of the artist (Adel Mustafa) depends on the artistic exciter from the city kinetic..tense elements ...these elements might be assimilated in different shapes and sizes of the buildings and also some of human portraits from the Egyptian society. The artist uses the photomontage method with different techniques of collage through photographs which is taken by him and he often depends on the coincidence for finding the elements of his art works, he also often uses neutral colors in his art works.

Ahmet Ozel / Turkey Enthusiasm By making metaphysical allusions in these paintings, the artist has examined nihilism in a pitch black and silent existentialism in which the universe is silent in the dusk of two unknowns. The fertility of new lives and their continuity in other universes is transformed into a celebration of life with symphonic expressions against a backdrop of the evolution of never-ending life. The substances that develop in his intuition are revealed in an exalted spirituality peculiar to the artist.

Albert Negredo / Spain Assow. 2013 Images Google search of Pilares, a polysemic word that induces the search of the title of the piece, Assow, a very scary images result. The theme of the print is the construction, the old physical, and the new, virtual. The construction and the deconstruction, the immovable, and the movable. The thing, static, and the life, in progress. Assow was a survival of an aeroplane accident, the rest of his life from the accident (hospital, doctors, nightmares) is the result of Google search, but I dislike this result, he actually should have another life, for the same reason this result be part of the past, but always changing. And if Pilar is Assow, everybody is Assow.

Ania Daria Merska / Poland The circulation and the symbolism of the number of the four philosophic elements are the origin of the squaring the circle which is a symbol of the opus alchymicum or magnum, while the latter represents the stone of wisdom or lapis philosophicum but not in the form of gold but in the form of real wisdom equated with love. And exactly this is the crossroads with the artist’s idea of eternal, absolute love that she radiates through the entire artistic opus. By Mario BerdiÄ? Monika Pichler / Austria Archeron Some years ago, we visited Greece. It was lovely there in summer and we (me and my family) enjoyed swimming in the sea and lying in the sun. One day, on our way to the next city, we passed a terrible traffic accident. My husband said: „Don`t look!“, but we both ( my daughter and me ) looked and saw some terrible things. The whole day I could not think of anything else, it was a day, where death was present. Some of the photos I used for the collage are from that day. The Archeron is a lovely river, located in the Epirus region of northwest Greece. In ancient Greek mythology, Archeron was known as one of the five rivers of the Greek underworld. I took the name of this river for the titel of my Photo-collage, because Archeron is connecting our world with another one (maybe) The connection between life and death is the theme of my work.

Debora Fede / Italy Small Soldier A moment of a child's game is fixed by click photo to relate the experience of children with the full relevance today. Unfortunately, children in the real life 'play' also to the real war.The children in our "civilized" world, even if still children embrace guns and they die too.Armed conflicts, often in these regions generated by ethnic motives always cause thousands of deaths among children and still produce scary "side effects" involving civilians. Among these children, that in these contexts feeding the category of soldiers 'children becoming victims and unknowingly perpetrators of themselves as well as others. (children separated from their families, spectators and actors of the atrocities of the war, they do not have anymore the right of the childhood and the opportunity to live a serene future when they'll become adults in a society that has deprived them of their dignity.)
Think at the war as a war game; how many times we do think that war is a game between political, economic and religious powers.

Jing Zhou / China-USA Totality {Ch'an Mind, Zen Mind Series} The concept of life, death, and reincarnation has followed humanity through the ages as the self and the collective whole passes through time. In the history of human experience we continuously seek the understanding of the interconnectedness of life for which this image was created. Flowing high in the dark sky, the nerve-like white lines are part of the Ganges river delta formed over thousands of years. The river channels at the lower right extend from an ancient pine tree on Mt. HuangShan in China. Surrounded by cranes, this aged pine symbolizes longevity, perseverance, and origin of life. Visually deluding, the root-like patterns in the background are indeed blood veins of a human hand. The white circles carrying primal icons become symbolic indicators of dreams, thoughts, transcendence, and human consciousness. {This artwork is part of Jing Zhou's Ch’an Mind, Zen Mind series, which expresses her present perception and intuition towards the ultimate reality and absolute calmness. Jing’s artistic creation is a process of deciphering her life journey.}

Kadie Schmidt-Hackenberg / Germany Idyl, 2011 For a number of years I have been constantly developing my Cityscapes. They are mostly large-format, digital collages in which I combine painting, drawing and photos in one piece. That means I take a photo during my trips and at home I overwork it and combine it with my figurative hand drawings and my paintings. I don’t want to create images of real cities in the sense of realistic depictions. I approach the "phenomenon of the city" sociologically, because my focus is on the relationship between people and urban space. Sometimes the people are the residents of the cities themselves and sometimes they are temporary visitors or the city travelers. In my imagination these cities are more like living organisms than dead material and assessing their visitors or residents with caution and curiosity. They are mysterious, beautiful but unapproachable and become a projection surface for individual desires and dreams.

Mari Lagerquist / Sweden δίπτυχος /diptukhos “folded in two” The image on the left is different to the one on the right – or the image on the right has little resemblance with the image on the left. The bright sunshine is not reflected in the autumn mist, the absence of leaves and the presence of humidity on the left are nowhere to be found in the image on the right. Yet, there is a line in the right image that creates a strong resonance in the image on the left and a tiny bit of green can be found in the left image, exactly the same green that also is visible in the image on the right. Connections that might seam trivial, they are on the contrary precise and pertinent, making common ground possible.

Virginia Ryan / Australia-Italy Selling Dreams 2012 The billboards that rise above the streets, bridges and markets in the African city of Abidjan, (Ivory Coast) show us a pantheon of super- beings, possessors of symbolic objects of desire in a globalised world. My photographs ask what messages these modern heroes are transmitting as they gaze down at the city dwellers. This project sprung from the experience of being delayed en route to Australia, in the city of Dubai before Christmas in 2011.Walking the streets of the city, I began to photograph the enormous billboards promoting an idea of potential happiness through luxury items. On returning to Abidjan in late January, to a city which had recently suffered the trauma of fighting in the streets during the political crisis of 2011, I set out to document the same geography though a narrative of the relationship between the suspended, idealized floating world of publicity in conversation with the surrounding modernist, stressed architecture and the terrestrial human world. This is a selection of over two hundred images .

Patricia Goodrich / USA Haiti II Haiti II is one of a series of collages on canvas that are built from random brush gestures on newspapers from different countries of the world. The collaged images float without defining borders. The pasted pieces are hand-torn, their shape dependent only upon random brush strokes and paint drips that occurred while the paper served as table-coverings for other more structured paintings. The background colors are chosen to highlight hues from the collaged pieces. These structured “rules” imposed by the artist create a tension between the elements of the painting, creating energy. The image evolves from the creative process. There is no knowing what a painting will “be” until it is complete. In Haiti II three original “scraps” converged into one intensity of bright movement, much like my impression of Haiti itself. There for a residency at the First International Atelier d’Art Haiti, my senses were alive to the bright colors of the taptap lorries, to the rhythms of the music, to the graceful, proud movement of the Haitian people themselves. There was no separation as we worked side by side and their Creole and French mixed with the languages the foreign artists brought with them.

Mutaz Elemam / Sudan The aesthetic section is one of the detectives of life section and the picture play one of the most important roles in shaping life in many ways. And therefore I considered my role practically as a fine artist researcher in the worlds of picture. and this is the role that I can dedicate all my intellectual, psychological and spiritual energies in an attempt to provide Studying of beauty from a special point of view, in which I depend in the readmission dismantling and the drafting of the assets in the form of configuration i make sure to be beautiful and these sequential attempts is the sum collected witch I could add in this area difficult, complex and variable with change of life patterns and geographic locations and mood of humans over history and the different place, that the framing the language statement to describe the project of beauty shape is not something possible from my point of view and therefore adopted a technique of looking to the probability of independence of the picture for affiliation to the reality and significance of the direct about an event or expression of an idea . Image for me have an independent world, it could be a historical document or divination of the future, or the genius of the present with all its repercussions. The picture for me is the most important event regardless of its history and its place and its source and object, and elements of color and line and point, form and light and the rhythm of the field of my continued and renewed research.
