Cover Girl Sandra Mosakowska (Poland)

Can you tell us a little about you? I am an artist and creator with a deep love for beauty, selfexpression, and individuality My world is a blend of aesthetics, creativity, and authenticity whether it’s through visual art, fashion, or music. I believe in creating moments that feel both refined and slightly mysterious.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? Honestly, I wouldn’t change anything essential. Every strength and flaw shapes who I am as an individual and an artist. I love myself fully!

How did you start modelling? It started naturally through my creative projects. At first, I modeled for my own artistic concepts, blending photography with storytelling. Over time, people noticed my unique style and perspective, and opportunities followed. For me, modeling is an extension of artistic expression, not just posing but telling a story. The first time I was on a local cover was already in high school.

What do you think of the work as a model? It’s a fascinating balance between discipline and creativity. As a model, you’re both canvas and creator. I appreciate how modeling allows you to embody different moods and aesthetics while also collaborating with other creatives to bring a vision to life.

What is your beauty regimen? Minimal but intentional. I focus on skincare, hydration, and always choose quality over quantity. In the morning, I like to apply ice to my face. Beauty for me is also about how you carry yourself, the energy you radiate, and staying true to yourself.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? My individuality. I don’t follow trends; I create my own. I combine elegance with a slight edge, tradition with modernity I’m introspective but confident, artistic but precise. People often say I have an aura that’s both calm and enigmatic.

What are your plans for the future? After a long break, I have returned to social media, so I plan to stay active. Over the past two months, I have been doing live streams on TikTok, and I managed to achieve impressive results. I want to focus on creating content for my audience. Big projects are ahead of me. This will be my year.

What are your favorite experiences so far? When it comes to work, I take a different lesson from every project. As I gain experience, I apply it either in my work whether in the act of creation or in my personal life. There are no strict rules. I often focus on overcoming stage fright. My dream is to eliminate it completely.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling? Don’t lose yourself trying to fit a mold. Know who you are and let your uniqueness be your strength. Also, treat modeling as a professional craft — respect the process, stay disciplined, but always infuse it with your own artistic touch.

What do you think of the magazine? I appreciate platforms that celebrate individuality and creativity. This magazine offers a space where diverse voices and aesthetics can shine. I am excited about this publication and grateful for the interview. An interesting fact about me is that Belgium is not unfamiliar to me. I lived in Brussels and will always return there, especially for business matters.

Photographer Michał Kownacki (Poland)

Can you tell us a little about yourself? I’m Michał Kownacki, a photographer from Ostróda specializing in fashion, beauty, classic portrait, and sensual photography. My work is not just about technique but also about capturing emotions and beauty in an authentic and aesthetic way

How and when did you get into photography? I have been involved in photography for 19 years, counting from my first session with a model. That was when I discovered the immense power of light and emotions captured in a single frame. Since then, photography has become an inseparable part of my life—not only as a job but also as a passion where I can constantly develop and create.

What does photography mean to you? It’s my form of expression. Through photography, I can tell stories, highlight emotions, and expose beauty that many might not notice at first glance. In sensual and fashion photography, subtlety and aesthetics are particularly important to me.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. My photos combine delicacy and character. In fashion photography, I love playing with light and form, while in sensual photography, I focus on capturing naturalness and emotions. I strive to make each session tell its own unique story

Where do you get inspiration? I draw inspiration from various sources—classical photography masters, painting, film, and everyday situations. Often, the models themselves inspire me—their personality, gaze, and movement.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Yes, though I also enjoy spontaneity I have a vision in mind for the session, but I often let the model's natural energy and emotions guide the shoot.

Sandra Mosakowska

@rasowasarna

stylist and makeup:

Sandra Mosakowska

Studio, on location, or both? Both options have their charm. In the studio, I can fully control the lighting and composition, but on location, I can take advantage of natural surroundings and dynamic light.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? Definitely a professional. Photography is my job, but also a great passion. I don’t see it as an obligation—it’s how I express myself and create something meaningful.

What has been your most memorable session and why? Every session is unique, but I especially remember those where the models completely opened up in front of the camera. Those photos have the most emotion and are the most authentic.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Definitely Nikon. My go-to lenses are the 35mm and 50mm—they give me the perfect perspective for both portraits and fashion photography

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Don’t be afraid to experiment, develop your own style, and learn from the best. Photography is not just about technique but also about building relationships and emotions that translate into the final result.

What do you think of our new magazine? Great initiative! Inspiring content, amazing photos, and valuable advice I think it will be a fantastic source of knowledge and motivation for photographers.

Hair & Makeup artist Nadia Høgh Plougmann (Denmark)

Can you tell us a little about you?

My name is Nadia, I'm a professional hair and makeup artist, based in Denmark. My stile is inspired by the feminine scandinavian aesthetics, with glowing skin, enhancement of beautiful natural features, and the use of harmonic colors. I do hair and makeup for photo shoots, fashion shoots, beauty shoots, brides, tv-commercials and television.

How long have you been a makeup artist and how did you get your start?

I trained to be a professional hair and makeup artist in Copenhagen, and have now worked as a professional in the industry for three years.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I get a lot of my inspiration from the natural features i see in my clients. I think it’s important to enhance the beauty that is already in my chair, and make them feel a better version of what they already are.

What are some of your makeup products that you use? At the moment, my favorite brands to use are MAC Cosmetics and NYX Cosmetics.

Who have you worked for and who would you like to work for in the future?

I have worked for a lot of different clothing brands, like Bestseller, Only, Rains and Ichi, but I would love to work for a lot more beauty and skincare brands in the future, like Ole Henriksen, Beaute Pacifique and Glossier. As well as doing more tv-commercials and television.

Any makeup tips you'd like to share with us?

The best makeup tip I can give is: Have fun with it, there are no rules!

If you were not a makeup artist, what would be your dream job?

Then I would definitely work with animals. I love the beautiful souls that are hidden in animals, and it makes me happy to give them a wonderful life.

What are three things every girl needs in her makeup bag?

1. Tinted sunscreen 2. Lip balm 3. Brow gel

What are common mistakes you see women make on their makeup?

A typical mistake I see, is that many people follow trends on social media, but don’t consider their own unique features and how the makeup would best suit their face.

What do you think of the magazine?

I think this magazine is a wonderful way to open up the industry, and give people more insight into your work and the people behind it.

Photographer Thomas Füßler (Germany)

Can you tell us a little about you? I am Thomas Füßler, living in Germany, in Bechhofen, somewhere in between Saarbrücken and Ramstein, which is well known for the US Army Air Base. I am almost 60 years old, married, father of three children and grandpa of two.

How did you get into photography? My father was a hobby photographer. I always wanted to follow him in his footsteps. At first, in motorracing-photography. I started to buy books from great photographers. I always wanted to follow them in their skills. With horrible results, at the beginning. But I started to work on my skills. I still do.

What does photography mean to you? I quote the famous actor Steve McQueen for that. He once did say: “Racing is life. Anything that happens before and after is just waiting.” Same is for me with photography. Photography, to me is life. Any kind of photography. Whether with models, racing, soccer or my daily work. Eleven years ago, I was dying sick. I asked myself two questions. Will I survive? Will I be able to do photography, again? I am. Photography is life.

Please briefly describe your photography style. I almost cannot answer this question. Because it is so difficult to answer. When I do a photoshoot, my women and me are entering a playground, which is our chosen location and a theme. Mostly fashion and portrait. For sure boudoir and nudes, too. We do talk a lot during that, to get a relationship. Then, the photographic journey begins. Some of my models became longtime friends. I love black and white, but colourful expositions, too. I love photoshoots with water. People who know my work keep telling me, that they immediately know, that it is a picture of mine, when I publish a new one. I try to keep my standard.

Anja Kharchenko

Where do you get inspiration from? Pictures of colleagues are my inspiration. I have books. Now, we have the internet. A lot of my inspiration grew, when I was photoshooting with friendly photographers.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? As I answered before: There is a location. There is a theme. After that, anything can happen.

Studio, on location or both? Location. I love real places. And available light.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a professional? Well, with models I am a hobbyist. Because I barely get paid and I am doing it, because I love to do it. Besides of that, I am a paid professional. Working for newspapers, as a journalist and writer. Besides of that with industrial partners. I am lucky to work abroad, sometimes. D Day in France, F 1 in Bahrain, FIA WEC in Belgium. With limited power, because I am severely damaged, but this is another story

What has been your most memorable session and why? Very difficult question. There was a girl from the Ukraine, who fled with her parents to Germany. Anja was young, 16. I had a blast, when I saw her face. I offered her a photoshoot, accompanied by her father. She is very special, she has problems with her skin. But she is one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen in my life. We went outside and I asked her to show me her emotions. It took a little while, then she was present and I was able to shoot some of the best portraits, I ever had. I asked her father, to take care of her and to allow her, being photographed. She is one of the biggest talents, I ever got to know. I might not shoot her anymore, because her family lives in the USA now. But life can be strange.

Schloss Falkenhorst

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I do not understand this question. The Canon RF 70-200mm 2.8 L IS USM Z. I do the most modelshooting pics with that. Because you are keeping more distance to the women and they feel free. Distance, in my opinion, is very important to get close to a person.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Mind the worth of the business, you are starting. Most of them start cheap and give up, because they will never be able to get an income for life. You start on cheap pricings, because you do not have my skills? Then get better, and keep your price on a worthy level. If you don’t, you will not make it.

What do you think of our new magazine? I did not know it before. After looking at some editions, I must say it has a high standard of quality. Being a part of it now, is an honour for me. Thank you so much for that and keep going. https://www.facebook.com/fuesslerfoto/ http://www.thomas-fuessler.de https://www.instagram.com/thofpics/

Model Julie Burville (England)

Can you tell us a little about you? I’m a free-spirited fashion muse with a love for the '70s! I’m a rock ‘n’ roll hippie at heart. I have a passion for fashion, and the style and music of the 1970s inspire me. You’ll almost always find me with plaits in my hair, a bandana around my neck, a rock ‘n’ roll leather jacket, cowboy boots, and of course a cowboy hat. I loooove hats, but cowboy hats... they’re my absolute favourite! As Iris Apfel said... "Being stylish and being fashionable are two entirely different things, you can easily buy your way into being fashionable. Style, I think, is in your DNA.”

I’ve been lucky enough to model for many magazines over the years, including cover shoots, and I thrive in front of the camera. But for me, modelling is more than just striking a pose, it’s about bringing a vision to life. I’m endlessly inspired by the creative teams I work with, from photographers and stylists to hair and makeup artists and videographers. The magic happens when we all come together, and I love being part of that creative energy making every shoot fun and unique. Fashion isn’t just what I wear, it’s who I am, its self-expression, I also love an adrenaline rush, things that push you out of your comfort zone, I plan to skydive soon.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? Nothing, confidence is key.

How did you start modelling? I started modelling in FHM and this led to other genres and opportunities in fashion, hair, lingerie, beauty, jewellery, art, editorial and many others.

What do you think of the work as a model? It’s harder than it looks, it's more than just posing, it’s about storytelling, creativity, and bringing an idea to life. Every shoot is a new adventure, but in one word modelling is... AWESOME.

What is your beauty regimen? I swear by staying hydrated, getting plenty of sleep, and always removing my makeup before bed. A good moisturiser, SPF, and some serum for that extra glow are my go-to essentials. Oh, and a little rock ‘n’ roll attitude never hurts!

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? My kooky sense of humour and signature style, I don’t take myself too seriously, you only have one life, so make it worth remembering!

What are your plans for the future? I plan to continue doing what I love, age is a privilege not everyone gets to experience, and I plan to embrace it! I also adore animals and plan to get another dog, I had a golden retriever, and she was everything, the love and loyalty of a dog is like no other. Every time I see a dog I smile; they really are very special. If the kindest souls were rewarded with the longest lives, dogs would outlive us all.

What are some of your favourite experiences so far? It’s always been a pleasure working with many magazines over the years and after working hard with teams of creative people it’s always a real buzz seeing your work come to life in a magazine, advertisement in a published book or online.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling? Go for it! Have fun, confidence is everything, embrace your uniqueness, be fearless, don’t be afraid to pull stupid faces and poses... they either work and look awesome or you just laugh hard. Always remember, comparison is the thief of joy! You be you! Do your own thing! You got this...!! Let’s go!!

What do you think of the magazine? Modellenland, Belgian magazine is a vibrant, creative hub that shines a spotlight on emerging talent. I love how it celebrates not just fashion, but all forms of art, making it a must-read for anyone with a passion for creativity. Keep up the great work!!

Photographer Ruel Ambat (Philippines)

Can you tell us a little about you? I am a freelance multimedia designer from the City of Koronadal in the Philippines. My main occupation is photography and videography for various requirements including weddings, beauty pageants and corporate events, as well as, documentary work and advertising. I am most passionate about outdoor glamor photography.

How and when did you get into photography? I believe my eye for visual arts started since childhood. I love drawing a lot as a kid. Then I became a secondary computer instructor in the past. From there, I acquired skills in audio-visual creations using available materials and those provided by external clients. Later, I learned photography and videography from friends and associates. I can say I started as a self-taught photographer learning from the Internet and associates, as well.

What does photography mean to you? Photography is a way of life for me. I feel it is a calling as it drew me to develop myself to be better at it over time. All my works are my self-expression and my versions of the stories of the things and people I took pictures of.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I am very passionate about portraiture. I love capturing glamour photos of my models in an outdoor and natural setting. I do post-processing after every shoot to try and perfect each shot the way I wanted with primary aim at making my model looking their best.

Where do you get inspiration from? I get my inspiration from the beautiful works of other photographers mostly online. I also get inspired by nature as backdrops for portraits. I love forests, rivers and waterfalls especially. Nature drives my creative senses.

Glory Mae Arlos

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Planning is always key to how I shoot photos for clients. But for my personal work, I let my model and the beauty of the location drive me.

Studio, on location or both? Since I am passionate about outdoor portraiture with nature, it’s location shoots for me primarily. I do studio sessions mostly for client requirements.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? Photography has become my source for living so I can be doing it as a professional and get paid. But I am a passionate hobbyist photographer by heart.

What has been your most memorable session and why? I can’t think of a single session that is most memorable for me. Instead, the most memorable ones are those that brought me to beautiful locations around my country. Capturing stories of people, their unique culture their ways of life are the most memorable moments for me as a photographer.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? It’s been Canon for me ever since. My most loved lens is the Canon EF 135mm f/2 USM for depth of field and image clarity.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Associate with experienced photographers, it’s a great leverage for learning. Invest in knowledge more than gears until you master essential skills for your photography genre. Get into the actual business when you are ready to commit. Until then, keep shooting.

What do you think of our new magazine? Firstly, I appreciate how your magazine recognizes and features artworks of photographers around the world for free. Modellenland Magazine is a great platform to showcase talents in photography. Your latest issue is filled with inspiring works. The photos and stories in it truly ignite my creativity

Photographer Andrew Macdonald (Scotland)

Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Andrew, and I am the principle behind Killer Heels Photography. I won the Best Photographer category at the UK Fetish awards in 2020, 2022 & 2023. I have had four books published. My photography has featured on the cover of several fiction novels, record sleeves and over 100 magazine covers. I am currently enjoying my golf when I can get to play

How and when did you get into photography? Its now honestly hard to think of a time when I didn’t have a camera in my hand. I’m approaching my 58th birthday, so it would be reasonable to think that’s over 50 years now. Without going into sad detail about childhood, I was never going to be able to go to Art School, but a part-time job doing D&P for a local photographer certainly kept the dream alive. The military and Engineering filled a gap before I was able to actually apply time and resources to fulfilling the passion. I have been shooting rubber clad models now for some 15 years.

What does photography mean to you? Photography is a means to take something from my imagination and put in a format where other people can see it.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. Fetish Fashion is a term I have decided upon over the past couple of years. It succinctly puts together the main attributes from a shooting session. I like to present the work as clean and sharp, shined as close to perfection as possible.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a professional? It provides an income, but I’m close to coming to the conclusion that I only want to take on shoots that interest me now. Which is a nice position to find myself comfortable with. I still want to be inspired and invigorated by a session. Not something ‘by the numbers’ and unfulfilling.

Zara Du Rose
Zara Du Rose

Where do you get inspiration from? I believe as photographers, we are naturally voyeurs. So you are all very likely going to be inspired by what you see around you. Be that in ‘real life’ or the vast array of media we are confronted with on a daily basis. A lot of movies have the hero character being somewhat ordinary, but to succeed, they have to do something extra-ordinary. I really like the idea of the ‘unusual’ doing something very ‘normal.’ It provides a fun narrative and an alternative perspective.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Very much so. There has to be at least an element of a defined outcome, otherwise you’re just banging out frames hoping to get lucky. So many models and MUA’s that are on shoots with me compliment me on my planning. It makes for an easy day. My process is: idea, outfit, model. There is the odd occasion where this can be reversed, if there is a particular model I’d really like to work with.

Studio, on location or both? Easy one: Studio! I have shot on location, but its very rare, more so if I have a choice in the matter. There is so much you’re not in control of on location, least of all the weather. The studio is a wonderfully controlled environment, without time constraints etc. You can control the lighting, the room temperature, the pace of the session. Why would you not choose that?

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Have lots of cash! It’s become a rather saturated market now. First with the advent of digital cameras and digital darkrooms, the likes of Photoshop and Lightroom. But post covid, and certainly in my own market, I’m competing with people shooting in their bedrooms on an iphone with a ring light. That’s basically zero overhead costs. Quality has certainly taken a dip, and in a market with such a huge choice, it is clearly no longer a primary consideration.

What has been your most memorable session and why? There are a few images that stand out; Walkies II and Mortuary Mermaid readily spring to mind, as they both ably demonstrate the peak of planning, execution and outcome. The Wonderland session will be an obvious one to select too. And I think for all that were involved in that too. Again, the planning, the casting, the set. Conceiving personality back stories for the models of how their characters would change depending which other character they would interact with on set.

As Alice in Wonderland is a very popular story, you have to try pretty hard to come up with a bit of originality for your take on it. I think the team that was put together for this concept did that ‘wonderfully’

The fact the session was published as a book is a testament to that success in the studio.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I am a Nikon user, but it you’re going to push for a favourite camera, I’m going to pick my Hasselblad H5d. I have a couple of Nikon D3x bodies, a 50 f1.4, 85 f1.4 and a 105 f2.8 primes, along with 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200 zooms, all f2.8. The ‘blad glass is 28mm f4, 80mm f2.8 & 55-110mm f3.5-4.5 zoom.

The Nikon is great, and the 24-70 provides a very usable range in the studio. Allows you to be nimble and mobile. The Hasselblad is a more ‘considered’ approach, but the detail it can capture is just incredible. It’s not unusual for me to swap cameras during a session, depending on look and set up.

What do you think of our new magazine? Looks good. Quality images and an easy look layout. Nice mix of interviews and pictorials.

Photographer Magdalena Bednarek

(Poland) (Re-post 2022)

Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Magdalena, and I am photographer based in Szczecin, Poland. I specialize in female photography but I also cooperate with people from polish world of culture and entertainment ( comedians, actors, singers, writers, athletes etc.). I am an author and co-author of photo exhibitions, magazine covers, posters. Also photography teacher who loves traveling and addicted movie watcher.

How and when did you get into photography? Since I remember I was always fascinated by beautiful photos, but I never grabbed the camera myself. I always stood aside and helped create them. I was inventing nice and interesting places or unique frames. I started taking photos by myself very late, few years after my studies. When I started, I just couldn’t stop. I discovered that creation process is more enjoying than watching creation. Finally I could catch things I really love like sunrises and sunsets. During these years my photography has evolved and it still changing.

What does photography mean to you? I will not be unique, because I must say that photography mean a lot for me. It takes huge part of my everyday life. Thanks photography I can learn more about myself, about other people and whole world which around us. This is the perfect way to become more humble and tolerant. The most beautiful thing in photography is that we all look at the same sun, but everyone see it in a different way. Photography broadens the horizons.

Where do you get inspiration from? I know that it can sounds banal, but everything what surrounds me is an inspiration for me. Sometimes is an movie, sometimes is a person – his/her face , character, way of dressing etc. It can be place like an restaurant, street with special character or even a unique tree or building. Something new, something old, structure, melody, color. Really everything.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I love black and white photography. I like to catch how lights play with shadows, show strong or delicate contrasts – depends on situation. This is not the only kind of photography which I take, but still, my favourite. Most often natural light photography, preferably without additional light sources. But what is the most important – photos full of emotions. I like to bring out individual character of the person and show in on the photo. I also like to show a different, less know side of concrete per-son. Very often I try to break the rules or do something crazy, get out of the comfort zone.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? It depends of what I want to do. If this is for example fashion lookbook then I prefer to prepare everything before. Models, make-up, place – everything what bring concrete effect. BUT…maybe this will not sound professional, I am this kind of person who like to work spontaneously. Mostly I have only sketch in my head like place and clothes or only place, and later I match and draw the remaining elements of the puzzles. So very often I improvise to received this special effect, so-called HERE AND NOW. Everyone who work with me should be prepared for everything.

Studio, on location or both? I work a lot in a studio, which gives a more of “controlled opportunities”, and help models and clients to feel very comfortable but I feel that still photos are not in 100% real. Of course this in only my opinion but I think that other locations and outdoor awakens such emotions that work in the studio will not wake up. Real joy, fear or delight.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? For the beginning it was only my hobby full of happiness and joy. I treated photography like a springboard from everyday life. One day in my life changed everything and photography became my profession. Firstly I was scared that it can ruined my passion for photography, but now I can say that this passion is even stronger.

What has been your most memorable session and why? Once again I won’t be original because I must say that all my sessions are memorable. Why? Because I met new people, I discover new things and I learn something about myself and about my work. Ever session bring emotions what is amazing. Ok, maybe I never done session during parachute jump or rollercoaster ride but everything is still ahead of me.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I am working on Canon but I am not a member of any team – and I am not afraid to say that, There are many very good camaras of different brands. In my opinion, good photo you can take by cell phone – only technical aspects can limit you (but how long?). For now my fav lens are Canon 50 mm 1.4 and Sigma art 85 mm 1.4

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? The most important thing is believe in yourself and don’t look on the others. Be focused on your plans and slowly day by day try to reach them. Never stop learn new things and improve your skills to make them unique. Keep your eyes and mind open and never close on anything.

What do you think of our new magazine? For sure this is a great place where people from all over the world can share and show their work, life, passions and unique skills. A place where you can find a lot of inspiration and in which we can feel that every one of as is a part of huge artistic family. For me is a honor to be a part of it and I would like to thank every reader of Modellenland for taking time to read the interview and get close to my work.

Model Tamara Milicevic (Serbia)

(Re-post 2022)

Can you tell us a little about you? I have been a professional model for 16 years, I have been in this business because I found myself in it and I love what I do. I have many successes behind me, big names and brands that I worked for and with which I still work today. I’ve traveled a lot, met a lot of people, made friends around the world, and I’m proud of every picture and video in my portfolio.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? I often get that question, and it's always the same answer, I wouldn't change anything about myself. I love myself as I am and I try to nurture and preserve my appearance and natural beauty

How did you start modelling? I entered the world of fashion as a child when I was only 10 years old. my parents enrolled me in a talent school and that's when I realized that I love what I still do today. More serious travels and engagements started at the age of 16, first in Prize, then in Milan, and then all over Europe. I lived in almost all the capital of fashion for about 3 years, and then there was no need for that anymore because jobs started to be scheduled directly and I had to travel according to the scheduled job. After conquering Europe, I moved to the American market and I have been there for the last 4 years, New York, Los Angeles and Miami are my new home :)

What do you think of the work as a model? Working as a model is not as easy a job as people think, it can be extremely hard, difficult, long ... filming sometimes lasts from early morning until late at night, preparing for a show where you go out on the runway every few seconds lasts all day , when it's hard for you, when something hurts, it's your business, you are here to look the most beautiful you can and do your best. I love my job and through that love I somehow ignore it all and try to enjoy every one of my engagements.

What is your beauty regimen? The model must constantly work on itself, both on its exterior and on its interior (on its character, attitude, knowledge ...). Beauty must be nurtured and preserved in order to last as long as possible, and that does not mean surgery and changing personal descriptions, but healthy care and care of your face, body, hair, skin, nails ... I try to train regularly, I care your face in Epic Clinic with my dear Dr. Marija Bradic Vasic who is phenomenal and who is responsible for my healthy and great look;

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? I think it's a character, each of us radiates his energy, that's how we all differ. Personality and personality is something that describes us and presents us to others. I am always positive, I try to convey that to the people around me, be it friends and family or the team in which I work.

What are your plans for the future? At the time of the pandemic, I dedicated myself a little to my other love, which is design. I like to create, to create, to change the look of both the interior and clothing. I started my own Fashion Bones brand, and devoted myself a little to that business. I have a lot of plans for the future and some of them are definitely to stay in the world of fashion, work as a model and deal with design.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far? Certainly it's travel, meeting new people, other cultures ... But if we look exclusively at the modeling business, it would certainly be a collaboration with Armani, phenomenal Paris, Milan and New York fashion weeks, phenomenal California that I consider my second home, no forgetful Miami that has its emperors, Tokyo that evokes the most beautiful memories ... it's hard to single out just a few from so many experiences and travels :)

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling? My advice is to be your own, be what you are, work on yourself and build yourself. Never give up, this job like any other brings ups and downs, one closed door opens ten new ones. Have your goal, love what you do, but above all love yourself

What do you think of the magazine? I am someone who loves magazines, i like to read and enjoy it. I am not someone who blindly follows fashion and trends, but every magazine related to that has my attention and finds its place in my home. Modellenland is a magazine that follows everything I love, editorials, fashion, art ... so much beauty in one place. Great praise for the effort and work, I wish you a lot of success in your future work as well as many, many new releases :)

Photographer Tamar Aerts (Belgium)

Can you tell us a little about you? I am Tamar Aerts, a Belgian photographer with a passion for portrait photography. I play with light and atmosphere to create unique images, where tactility and experience play an important role. My work is a search for emotions, textures, and the connection between people and their surroundings.

How and when did you get into photography? I discovered photography in my teenage years, but it wasn’t until later in life that I really immersed myself in photography and started taking classes at an academy to deepen my knowledge.

What does photography mean to you? Photography is much more than capturing an image for me. It’s a way to tell stories, capture emotions, and create a certain atmosphere. I work both digitally and analog, as both techniques offer me something unique. Analog photography forces me to work more slowly and thoughtfully, while digital photography gives me more experimental freedom.

Please briefly describe your photography style. My style is a mix of fine art and portrait photography. I play with light, shadow, and composition to create images that feel both dreamy and powerful. I work both digitally and analogue, using 35mm film and 4x5 inch large format. Working with film forces me to slow down and focus more. In a digital age, this slowing down teaches me a lot. I also strive to bring a tactile quality into my images.

Where do you get inspiration from? A walk through the street can inspire me. I can become fascinated by the poses in fashion photography, but at other times, I want to avoid posed images altogether. I then seek out the calm and stillness of the moment. Art, films, and music also fuel my creativity.

Studio, on location, or both? Both have their charm, but I really feel like a studio photographer. The way you can imitate the sun using flashlights and different light modifiers fascinates me. In a country like Belgium, this is especially useful as you don’t have to rely on the weather.

Jana

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? I enjoy experimenting, though I often have a small guiding thread before I begin a new project. But the beauty of experimenting and failing gives so much room for growth. Often, it’s the accidental images, the failed developments with negatives, that lead to the most interesting results.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? I am a paid freelance photographer.

What has been your most memorable session and why? Every session brings something unique, but the most memorable are those where a real connection is made between myself and the model. Sometimes, it’s the unexpected moments, the spontaneous laugh, or a deep look that make a photo extra special.

Nikon or Canon? Favourite lens? I work with Fujifilm. My favourite lens depends on the project, but I love primes for their sharpness and light sensitivity.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? It’s not always easy to find clients as a photographer; your online presence, networking, etc., are very important. Building your business can take time, but I believe that when you put a lot of effort into your work, you’ll get there.

What do you think of our new magazine? It’s great to have a platform that brings together photographers, models, and other creatives, also because it’s a free magazine, making it accessible to everyone, and the ideal place to find inspiration. The diversity of styles and visions makes it an inspiring magazine to read.

METAMORPHOSIS HAIR AS A WORK OF ART

Artist Yolanda Gil presents METAMORPHOSIS, an innovative collection where hair takes center stage. Inspired by portraits of women immortalized in paintings, this series transforms hair into an artistic expression, exploring identity, femininity, and the constant evolution of the human being.

Each piece in METAMORPHOSIS is a reinterpretation of feminine beauty through a material charged with symbolism, history, and strength. More than a collection, it is a declaration of how art can transcend traditional formats and find new forms of expression in the organic and the ephemeral.

The project comes to life through the lens of photographer Inmaculada Hontanilla, who captures the essence of each creation with a unique and evocative eye. Models Alba Díaz Domínguez and Adriana Díaz Domínguez embody this transformation, giving face and soul to the work. With

METAMORPHOSIS, Yolanda Gil invites the viewer to reflect on beauty, identity, and change, blurring the lines between hairstyling, art, and fashion.

Can you tell us a little about you?

My purpose in life is to leave a mark on this earth as an actress and filmmaker that will inspire and motivate for centuries after I am gone. I was born and raised in Norway where I started as a kids model for catwalk shows. Modeling for photographs is something I got into at around 15 when I moved by myself to Stockholm to pursue my dreams. Modeling is where I started and it has taught me so much about living infront of the camera, both things I should and should not take with me infront of the camera as an actress. Nowadays it´s more modeling for commercials and to show my different looks in my portfolio for casting agents and also PR and social media of course. I´ve always loved performing so I sang and danced a lot when I was little and I got into lessons at 12 years old. And to go to dance school was primarily the reason I moved to Stockholm. Through music video jobs I got as a dancer I met people in the film industry. After getting a taste of the art of film I realized that all of my different hobbies and talents can all be put into film. Even a choreography as a dancer, lyrics in a song and a photograph as a model tells a story. This is one of the biggest reasons I love film and acting. You can be whoever you want, live in which ever world you wish to live in and at the same time earn money by playing dress up, playing with fashion and telling important stories that will live forever to make people open up their minds and emphasize with the once different from themselves. So film it is! Now I write and produce myself both to get my face and vision out there and because I love to be creative and make art.

When I´m hooked on an idea in my head I can catch myself smiling because I´m so excited to show my ideas to the world. When that happens, there is nothing that can stop me from bringing that idea into reality. Now I´m working on a script for a feature called `Mill´ where the lead is a singer and so I get to put my passion for music into film as well. I´m also working on a script about a dancer so I get to combine that as well.

Outside of my own little bubble of the art I live for I wish to make a change in the world on a larger level then inspiration. To take action towards causes that are critical and important issues like equal right, poverty, standing against bullying and so on!

We´ll get there, soon but it´s important that we not only talk about it and acknowledge them but actually make a change to make it better

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? Well, I´m a workaholic ( which I like, I have to admit), it´s not hard to be when you work with what you love. So my wish would be something like never getting tired from working hard. I love my ambition and discipline. I know that is some of the biggest reasons I´ve where I am today, but when I get very tired I can´t usually fight against the fact that everything slows down. Everyone needs to rest and it´s smart, I know but my job is just so much fun I don´t want to go to bed..

How did you start modeling and Acting?

My first job was as a catwalk model for kids cloths at 6 years old in Bergen, Norway. That was not only my first modeling job but my first job ever. My father worked with lights and sound for the fashion shows and so me and my sister got to walk a lot when they needed kids. I loved it. The best parts was when I got to walk with the grown up male model in suits, I had a crush on all of them! I remember my favorite outfit was a pink dress with a white summer hat. I felt like a princess. I´m glad I got up on stage at such a young age.

Little did I know then that I was going to spend the rest of my life performing and those catwalks gave me a lot of confidence in myself to believe nothing is impossible. As an actress it´s a whole other world but I guess both worlds can be describes as a jungle. So many people craving the same limited amount of ”food”. I have through experience learned that growing you own ”food” is a nice way to start. Waiting for others to give you a job can take forever. But I´ve been lucky enough to get work so far and my own progress motivates me.

My first acting job was in a danish shortfilm. Very small budget but very talented people involved. It was a very small part and me and another chosen girl who got a similar role as me got to go to a location by train to a cabin a few hours outside of Stockholm, where the team had been shooting for a while already. I love traveling with work, even if it´s smaller distances like that. You get to experience another world for a few days, visit places you never would otherwise and learn something about yourself, other people and how they come together in different situations and also the production of film. I´ve had the pleasure of traveling a lot already through work and my little carrier and those jobs are the once I have the best memories from. For instance the acting program in Los Angeles and also the second time in LA when my film was accepted to a film festival there, Denmark when I shot a campaign for LÒreal, Palma on Mallorca for a commercial shot, Cannes Film Festival in France and smaller places around Norway and Sweden and also CapeTown, South Africa for the shoot which got me the pictures and the cover for this interview.

What do you think of the work as a model/Actress? Working as an actress and model is like getting payed to have fun and live at the same time. By that I mean experiencing new things and seeing new places, meeting new people and traveling the world. But trust me it´s rarely as glamorous as it seems but I´m okay with that. It keeps me grounded and the least glamorous part of it are the once that teach me the most valuable lessons about living.

What is your beauty regimen? I Love cold still water which is practically all I drink but also green tea every once in a while. I make sure I stay active and eat healthy, meaning no processed food and as little sugar as possible. Staying positive also helps. Being organized so I don´t stress so much. Hm, my biggest sacrifice you ask..? Chocolate!

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? That must be it..I´m very positive. I might even be too optimistic, but in my head Nothing is impossible! That attitude has brought me a lot of work and good times so far, so I´m sticking to it.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far? Being born was pretty cool. Producing and getting my first shortfilm `Erosion´ made was a big step for me. I proved to myself that I can do this and how much I learned while making it, both pre and post production, the shooting day and the work of PR, festivals and releasing it and about myself. I wrote, produced and played the lead role so I got to be a part of many steps of the film, which I loved. This was a very exaggerated and twisted version of a personal story and so that makes me a little more proud to se it on screen for others to be a part of and relate to. More is coming soon. It can be viewed on my webpage.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling and Acting? Well, I´m gonna quote the great Marilyn Monroe ”Life is what you make of it” which are the words I live by. You have to start and make it happen. No one is gonna do it for you. And if someone decides they are going to do it for you, you are gonna end up as someone other then your true self. This business tend to want to shape people into whatever they think will earn them more money. So, know who your are going into this business and believe in yourself and that Yourself is more then good enough. Also, do your research on the people who contact you before meeting them or working with them. Always make sure there is a contract signed on both ends before working. Don´t be a fool. There are too many of those out there already trying to win something on hopeful souls.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? If I had to change something about myself, it would certainly be an aspect of my character. Do you have any advice for those who want to get into modeling? I do not pretend to give advice to anyone. Everyone must simply be themselves and succeed in giving back at the moment when my gaze, my expression hits the camera lens.

What do you think of the magazine? I really like your magazine. It is modern, colorful and rich in photographic facts. I hope I have not bored you and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to express myself through these pages.

Make up artist Diane Martin (France)

Can you tell us a little about you? Je suis Make up artist et Hairstylist, principalement pour les shootings photos dans les domaines de la mode, mais aussi pour les publicités, les clips, et occasionnellement les tournages et les évènementiels.

How long have you been a makeup artist and how did you get your start? J’ai commencé en 2016 où je me suis formée à l’école Make up for Ever de Paris. Pendant mon année de formation je participais déjà occasionnellement à des shootings, puis la cadence s’est intensifiée à la sortie de l’école.

Where do you get your inspiration from? De partout. Je n’ai pas une influence en particulier, c’est super de tester différents univers. J’aime m’adapter au projet pour lequel on m’a engagé. Chaque artiste, chaque collection à son essence, à moi de me laisser inspirer par ça.

What are some of your makeup products that you use? Ayant fait l’école Make up for ever j’ai pris l’habitude d’utiliser leurs produits et donc une bonne partie de mon stock est de cette marque. Mais J’utilise aussi beaucoup d’autres marques comme Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, …

Who have you worked for and who would you like to work for in the future?

Any makeup tips you'd like to share with us? Le mascara se met des deux côtés d’un cil pour un regard optimisé. On peut aussi en mettre sur les cils du bas, mais il faut faire attention, car selon la forme de l’oeil cela peut le tirer le regard vers le bas.

If you were not a makeup artist, what would be your dream job? Tout ce qui a attrait à l’artistique m’intéresse, donc il y a des tonnes de possibilités, mais un métier artistique a priori.

What are three things every girl needs in her makeup bag? Un mascara, un anti-cerne et un blush !

What are common mistakes you see women make on their makeup? Mettre trop de maquillage et notamment trop de fond de teint est le problème principal je pense. Cela se voit, et ne met pas en valeur, surtout quand celui-ci est trop orangé.

What do you think of the magazine? Le magazine présente de nombreux artistes et cela permet de découvrir de superbes univers. Il y a beaucoup de catégories de représentées, c’est très intéressant à parcourir. Je suis ravie d’avoir été contactée pour y participer

It started as a joke and now people from 170 different countries read Modellenland Magazine. The magazine is a stage for photographers, models and artists that have something to do with fashion and music. In this interview Peter tells us more about his magazine, which he creates all by himself

Can you tell us something about yourself? ‘

My name is Peter van Poucke and I live in Belgium. I went to cooking school and I worked in the horeca industry for 25 years. 15 years ago, I started photography as a hobby and I still love doing it.’’

When did you start Modellenland Magazine?

‘’I actually started the magazine 10 years ago as a joke. My photographs were published in many online magazines at the time and that is how I came up with the idea to create one myself. I invited some friends to be in the magazine and that is how the first issue arose.

I didn’t expect it, but I received many submissions after the first issue.

That is why I continued creating the Modellenland Magazine. Before I knew it, the magazine became international and now I already published 450 issues. Bear in mind that the magazine is a oneman operation :).’’

What is Modellenland Magazine about?

‘’Modellenland is something unique, it’s a stage for photographers and models and all artists that have something to do with fashion and music. It is a platform where I let artists speak by interviewing them. At the moment, people from 170 different countries read the magazine. People can download and read the magazine for free online.’’
