Nicole's Closet

by Nicole Brice

When Modern Grace Magazine asked me to collaborate on a segment called “Nicole’s Closet,” I was thrilled. I have been a collector of vintage and new high fashion for many years. My closet is full of pieces that are timeless-they can be integrated with everchanging trends.

High fashion has always fascinated me. From design to the thought process behind it, fashion is my favorite form of self-expression. You can tell a lot about someone based on their fashion sense.

Bargain shopping is one of my favorite hobbies. Whether I am researching the latest trends and newest pieces from designers... or just trying to incorporate couture pieces into my closet from a previous season, searching for deals is always a fun-filled scavenger hunt. There are so many avenues out there to find authentic fashion pieces at a fraction of the price. Some are even brand new, with tags and more than half off the retail price! One of my passions is styling other women. I love discovering what they prefer and then creating looks that match their unique personalities.

For our first adventure in Nicole’s Closet, Larry, from Modern Grace, and I styled Dawn Clark from Industry Salon. Since I hadn’t met her before, I gave her

a quick call to chat about her preferences. I instantly knew that the experience would be a blast!

After pulling a few looks from my closet, we took on the task of shopping. Not only were we able to find two handbags and a perfect pair of shoes, we also found these items at a bargain. I hope you enjoy our project as much as we enjoyed putting it together. Cheers!
