We are living through a tumultuous time. A time that is unknown to some and familiar to others. The world around you has slowed down drastically, like a train coming to its next stop, for you to think. Think about your financial position in the world. Are you ahead of the curve or behind it? The pandemic has snatched you from a state of busyness. One thing the pandemic has brought to my attention is what happens when preparation and opportunity meets? The answer is a recipe to financial success.

Trust me when I say this is a perfect season for growth and building financial independence. You have to choose the vision. Not any old vision...the vision given by the most high. An alignment has to happen when you activate your calling, your passion, or your dream. We underestimate the power of God’s time on the earth.

Think about the power of a total eclipse— the sun, moon, and earth align. Most folks are in awe. It is majestic. There is a shift. We have to trust Him with all things, including time and money. These go hand in hand. Start a business! Go for the promotion! Yes, I am talking to you! Seize this opportunity to be in alignment with this time. This may serve as confirmation or validation.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

Start the business of your dreams. If your job does not value skill that you have mastered, start a business, or in modernday vernacular, a side-hustle! To start a business is easy; a retail business or a consulting business. From making candles to designing apparel to teaching a skill or tutoring online. We all have gift. All you have to do is market it. Make it available on social media platforms. The platform options are limitless for an online business. There is Esty, Shopify, Squarespace, Volusion, Weebly, etc. A few clicks and you’re done. Teach a skill or a craft through various platforms such as: Teachable, Thinkific, or Udemy.

You have a talent. Sell it! “And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills, to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.” Exodus 31:3-5 New International Version

Go for the promotion! During the stayat-home order, time and thought is of the essence. You may have felt hopeless about your job and the day of returning. A sense of repetitiveness and a cycle with no end. You start to question yourself. Is this the job for me? What was I was called to do? I have a dream. In those feelings, you have to channel the energy to change. Now is the time. Go back to your vision-board. There is a dream job pinned there. Create a plan of action to get to the next destination. You can do this! Just step out on faith. Find the place that makes you happy. We are fearfully and wonderfully made with gifts and talents. Go for it!

“To one he gave five talents…His master said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much.” Matthew 24:15-23

No one can fathom the end of a thing, if the beginning never began. “I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.” One must enjoy the fruits of their labor. “Everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it.” Ecclesiastes 3:12-14
