Maybe it’s because people are at home and have more time to prepare or possibly the fun of getting kids and friends involved in the preparing of it, either way, although it’s been around for a while, charcuterie is a craze that keeps growing.
Charcuterie fits every lifestyle, every diet plan, and every taste because it can be modified quickly and easily. It summons the artist in you by allowing for selfexpression or the organizer in you by allowing it to be structured. Whatever your personality traits, it works!
Charcuterie is the French term for preparing of cured meat products, but the definition has been altered to the preparing of meats on a platter with cheeses. Still, it keeps evolving. Vegetableonly options are also called charcuterie platters or boards, even though they have no meat on them at all.
We decided to use a few incredible cutting boards that were crafted by Michael Perault and Tony Soares to show off our spreads.
